Cafe aroma shirley in Southampton

Four of us chose this establishment for lunch and were welcomed with great flavours and excellent service. The homemade chicken curry was fantastic. There are many different combinations with Jacket Potatoes. They have a rich menu and friendly staff. Thanks again to the kitchen team.

The food tasted nice but wasn't very hot. Would've been better served on hot plates. Mushrooms were just warm. Prefer fresh tomatoes to tinned type but that's personal preference.

The best breakfast I have had in a very very very long time! The coffee is by far better than the one you buy from the main stream coffee shops! The meal was cooked to absolute perfection, using the best quality ingredients! The staff were very friendly and very helpful! I cannot recommend this place enough, the best place to eat around, and I cannot wait to spend all my money here!😉

Albeit busy, breakfast and coffee were perfect. A nice choice. I had egg salmon spinach and loved it. Everything was fresh. My partner had the English breakfast and was happy too.

Food was not worth tha plate it was served on , I had a maxi breakfast for £11 2eggs 2 bacon 2 sausages ,beans ,tomato ,mushrooms hash brown and 2 toast i only eaten the bacon hash browns and the eggs because I was starving. The mushrooms were tin mushrooms with no flavour not a pinch of salt or pepper in sight , the beans were a runny mess slightly wormed up with 2 tined tomatoes , sausages we're probably the cheapest Quality one can buy 95% bread 4% seasoning and 1% pork, and then the toast ,how can someone mess that up ??? By slightly having the breat touch the toaster and calling it toast bread!! it was so under toasted the plate didn't even have bread crumbs.

It is an excellent find in Shirley. The staff were genuinely happy to serve you. The food was a good size and served both hot and quickly. This cafe is well worth a visit.

The food lacked freshness, particularly the meat, which had an unusual taste. I am currently experiencing stomach issues. Additionally, I was dismayed to observe Aroma employees or the owner sitting outside smoking cigarettes, the smell of which permeated the interior. Overall, I was not impressed with the experience.

I went there for a late and to be honest the late was one of the best late that I have and if not the best, they do not do table payments but the overall customer service is good, I felt judged by my appearance but I do understand, my hoodie didn't help. Other than that here is my good review!

The Best Coffee shop in southampton city .

Mocna kawa, świetna obsługa, smaczne posiłki, duże porcje. Najlepsze miejsce na posiłek w okolicy. Klimatyczna muzyka w tle na tyle cicha że można swobodnie rozmawiać na tyle głośna że można śpiewać. Jedyne czego nie polecam to burgery.

I came here with my son this weekend first time. So pleased, never been to a breakfast cafe where the service was so good and quick and the food so good. I will be returning every weekend. So good!

Best breakfast place in Shirley high street. Fresh, tasty as always. I always have freshly squeezed orange juice with my breakfast. Definitely recommend 👌👌

Really nice breakfast good quality bacon and sausages with my full English really fast friendly service would recommend. I have one big issue if you don't pay cash there is a £5 surcharge on using your debit card I think that payment is criminal and should be reported.

Lovely atmosphere, very welcoming, but a little short on the servings, and about 15% dearer than it needs to be. Also, meal options are rigid.. eg, can’t take out mushrooms and add tomato.

Very nice cafe with a decent menu. Whilst it is more in the realms of ‘cheap and cheerful’ it is far, far better than most similar places. Food quality was good, service fast and people very friendly and polite. Definitely recommend and well worth a visit

Service was shocking. Eggs, sausages and fried bread was ok, bacon and mushrooms were overcooked on all 3 breakfasts, pancakes raw in the middle.

After visiting a few cafes and restaurants in central Southampton for breakfast, we always go back to Cafe Aroma. The food is plentiful and tasty, service good and great value for money. The cafe itself is always clean. They have a varied lunch/dinner menu and a fab apple pie if you just fancy pie and coffee/tea!

We popped in today on a recommendation and you lived up to our expectations. I had the early breakfast and every bite was a delight. Non one negative comment to be had.

We've been here a few times and no matter who serves you, the people are so friendly. The breakfast comes out quickly and tastes great, it's all hot, not covered in grease and nicely split out on the plate. The fresh orange juice is really lovely, recommend that. Price is very reasonable too. Definitely our go to Full English cafe in Southampton.

Everything we had tried has been wonderful. A tasty breakfast, huge salads, amazing jacket potatoes. Not to mentions the specials or the chicken curry with chips and ric that actually beat me gutted had to leave some just couldn’t manage it, most unlike me!!! Always great with a smile and chat my dads likes to pretty much go in every week enjoys it so much. Great staff and lovely food

We came here in February with my wife's father. We had such a great late breakfast and the staff were so friendly we came back again! The food is tasty. The cups of tea generous. Service quick. And the servers are really nice and smiling.

Lovely place. We are out-of-towners and stopped in for lunch. Both of us are very impressed with the choice of food and beverages, the quality and the price. We had the American breakfast and I'd say it was good value. Two hash browns, two bacon, scrambled eggs (also two in my opinion), three pancakes and syrup. Great coffee and very efficient, friendly service. Edit: Four weeks later we are back in the area and had another really great experience. This time the Maxi Breakfast defeated one of us and the Chicken and Avocado salad thoroughly satisfied the other. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food is delicious and the toilet is clean and well maintained (including hot water, which not everywhere has). Five stars again.

was very impressed to see there was a ramp to get in through the door with my walker decor was lovely comfy seats staff welcoming and smiling lots of food choices I had a cream tea and husband had mixed grill food was delicious scones were warm mmmmm the mixed grill husband said was very good very tasty cup of t was perfect would recommend to anyone for any time of day to visit

It was a busy place, buzzing with atmosphere…we had the “Early” Breakfast, although it was 10:40. Service was friendly, and the food arrived in good time. The food was hot, and well presented….perfect. The fact that it was so busy, bears testament to the good service and food. We shall be back, great VFM too.

Well caught the bus from general hospital as had three hour wait before my appointment and my friend walked from totton to shirley for her daily exercise imagine our horror and disappointment to find this place shut !!!! I was looking forward to my chicken and chips all morning what is going on with the cafe in shirley also thought well i go to the hungry hiker only to find that shut too !! has the commerical rates and the gas and elkectric put the prices throu the roof ??? # another blow to SHIRLEY !!!!

The bacon was overcooked like cardboard, the mushrooms were boiled and not drained properly so there was water all over our plates and the egg was under cooked. Wouldn't eat here again

A clean and very friendly place to have breakfast. I just did not like the fact that the tomatoes for the cooked breakfast are just a lump of tinned tomatoes-not nice. I would nevertheless return and order something else.

We came for breakfast - good variey of dishes, super friendly staff, flexible with orders and excellent food. Will definitely come back.

My 1st visit and just had the best eggs benedict ever, delicious. A lovely place, really nice staff, food arrived hot and quickly.... A really good menu with so much choice.........my new favourite place.

We have come back to Southampton to visit family and have been here 3 times in the last week for breakfast. The service is great. Lovely welcoming smiley faces, its always busy which speaks for itself. They offer a vegan breakfast at a great price and it doesn't taste greasy. Oat milk - and other milk alternatives available too! Only tip - is to get some vegan butter (or flora) :)

We love this cafe. Food is allways great.staff freindly, Unfortunately we wont be back for quite a while now. Big let down on how many customers are allowed to walk in and out without masks on. The staff do not even advise customets to put their masks on untill seated. it got busy when we visited only couple of tables free.yet only 7 in the hour we were there had masks on when entering the premises. Very bad !!

We had a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised that a suburban shoppers café did eggs benedict and hog roasts. Both were very well cooked and with generous portions. We shall return soon!

Mi esposa y yo visitamos el café aroma el 3 de agosto.El café estaba lleno, pedí spaghetti bologneise y mi esposa pidió costillas de cerdo a la barbacoa, la comida era de primera calidad y porciones generosas. El personal fue realmente acogedor, amable y servicial. Hemos estado aquí varias veces y siempre hemos disfrutado de nuestras comidas, incluso cuando la cafetería está llena y el personal está bajo presión, todavía sonríen y siempre son educados.Definitivamente recomendaríamos este café cuando esté en Shirley, Southampton comprando o trabajando. Hay un aparcamiento público en la parte trasera de la cafetería y una puerta de entrada trasera para acceder a la cafetería. Los baños también están impecablemente limpios.Gracias a todos en cafe aroma

I took my brother here for His birthday. He likes good old fashioned full English. That's what they delivered very prompt and very tasty.polite staff too . Will definitely go back.

Called in here over a busy lunch time period. Table service. Took a little while before we were approached but that didn't seem to be the norm. Food took a while too but they were very busy. When it arrived it was well worth the wait. My daughter had roast pork, more than she could eat and very delicious. We had the rest in a takeaway box. I had Stilton and mushroom panini. Plenty of filling and very tasty.If you are a serious tea drinker though the tea may disappoint you, it's very weak even after lots of brewing. Not unpleasant just weak.My first time here and looking forward to coming again.All the food that came out looked amazing.The staff on the whole were friendly and helpful.

Mi amigo me presentó a este café hoy. Conozco a Shirley y caminé muchas veces, pero nunca antes había estado allí. Servicio rápido y amigable y comida caliente muy rápida. . . Tuve un tocino y pan brie y fue el mejor que he probado en mi vida, incluso en cafés / restaurantes caros! Relleno delicioso y generoso que a menudo no se obtiene en estos días. Refused to serve us a child's portion for an adult family member with specific dietary needs. Hid behind "we would have to do it for everyone" which is the opposite of customer service. A real shame.

Ordered a breakfast, it came luke warm. I felt like it was mostly microwaved. Wouldn't go back. Service was good. Maybe just not my day

We were so pleased to happen upon Cafe Aroma for a delicious breakfast on a bank holiday Monday. We opted for the Early Breakfast, which was a Full English with more than enough food. The staff was eager to insure that we had a great experience. The restaurant was bright and exceptionally clean, including the toilets. This restaurant has delightful covered outside eating areas in the front and back, and easy access to a public car park at the back of the restaurant. This was an excellent way to start our day.

We visited Cafe Aroma for lunch. The staff are ever so helpful and is very family orientated cafe. Tea and coffee was good. Food served hot. We truely enjoyed our meal there.

I visit Cafe Aroma on my own or with my husband and family quite a lot times per week as it is the best cafe in Shirley Southampton.

Excellent breakfast great value 9 items plus tea or coffee for £5.35 Coffee was good too. Very friendly and clean restaurant. We would visit again.

On Mothers day we called into this cafe for a lunch time snack.All tables were full so we were asked if we would like to wait untill a table became available.We agreed to this.The staff were very friendly and kept saying they were sorry for the wait.When seated we were quickly served.The food was very tasty and the coffee was great.Will certainly be making another visit when we are in the area again.Friendly happy staff first class food.What more could you ask for.

We stumbled across this Cafe about a year ago and have visited on many occasions.

Popped in for a cuppa whilst waiting for my husband. Staff were super friendly and genuine. Ended up staying for a late lunch - tuna melt panini - which was good. Was really nice to experience friendly, welcoming staff. Keep it up guys!

Been on two times now recently for cooked breakfast. The early bird breakfast for under a fiver including hot drink. Cafe very clean, friendly staff, food hot, well presented and good value. Would recommend and would visit again.

Firstly it opens at 07:30 in the morning during the week, which is earlier than the other cafes. A good menu, excellent value. Very well priced breakfasts, with a very good service level. Many high chairs too, and very accommodating for the little ones! 👶🏻

Went up to the market for fish, but was to early, so I decided to get a breakfast lovely welcome, great little breakfast and tea cooked well, and it was nice to see stuffed aubergine on the specials board, the nice lady told me it was changing as they change the specials daily, being a chef and used to run my own restaurant, was very impressed!! Give a go people, warm clean and friendly, what more can you ask for!!

Well it’s not the only one but might as well be...I won’t go anywhere else now. The food is excellent in choice and value. The staff are lovely. And the place is immaculate...you could probably eat in the beautifully decorated toilet!

We visited this delightful place three days ago. The service was fantastic. Such happy staff and so polite, We were only stopping for a quick drink but after looking at the menu wished we had more time to eat. The place was very busy and the food others were eating looked very well presented. Definitely revisiting and will be ordering food next time.

Food is lovely here and great prices. Staff are very very friendly and it’s great for kids to eat. Definitely a place to go for those special treats for the kids or to relax and have some yummy food.

Cafe Aroma has just opened in Shirley Hight Street and we popped in for lunch , really warm welcome by friendly staff had a lovely meal and real nice coffee to finish with . Will be visiting again and recommend to try 👍
