I recently attended Houdini's After Dark Bar and Murder Mystery Escape Room evening for a corporate event, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The actors were brilliant, immersing us completely in the thrilling storyline. Their performances added a layer of excitement and intrigue that kept everyone engaged. The cocktails were fantastic, with a wide variety of creative and delicious options that perfectly complemented the evening's theme. Booking and arranging the event was a breeze, thanks to Ethan's efficiency and professionalism. He made sure everything ran smoothly and catered to our specific needs. This unique corporate event was not only entertaining but also excellent for team building. The combination of the escape room challenge and the interactive murder mystery encouraged collaboration and communication among our team members. Really great atmosphere and drinks but didn’t try food so can’t give an opinion

To be honest, we really didn't know what we were expecting from this night. It was a real out-of-the-blue decision to book a booth for the hosted murder mystery night, but man, was it worth it. The entire experience was such a joy. The actors were absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere feels really authentic, the drinks were really nice, it was just worth it in every way! Ethan (head honcho) really puts in the work to make this a memorable experience, and it's not one i will soon forget. You really feel like you're apart of the entire act! If you're considering coming here, please let this be the review you read, because i genuinely couldn't recommend it enough. Thank you guys for a fantastic evening, we're already booking tickets for next month's event!

We visited for a belated Xmas party and it was the perfect venue, we are a group of mixed ages some drinkers some non drinkers, and everyone has not stopped talking about what a fun night we had, we were a bit loud but the guys managed us amazingly made us feel like we weren’t being annoying (which I know we were) they were so accommodating and also the drinks were super quirky and super tasty, we will be back … a bit less excitable next time (maybe 😜)

Booked in as a last minute date idea for my wife and I and it was honestly one of the best dates we’ve had! The actors make the night (you’ll have more fun if you play along a bit too!) and make this unique experience really stand out. Great varied choice on the cocktail menu (including mocktails for non-drinkers) and can’t recommend enough. Will definitely return.

Absolutely 10/10. My friends and I come here regularly, and we've thoroughly enjoyed the comedy nights and murder mystery nights. The cocktails (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are phenomenal, and there's almost always such a good range of excellent drinks available. The entertainment is always great fun, and we always make sure we go to their events when we can.

The comedy night was exceptional. Intimate and hilarious. You really get to see the comics close up. The drinks are amazing as well as the owners Ethan and Rachel. Would definitely recommend going here

A fantastic cocktail bar tucked away in Southampton. Superbly run by the wonderful Ethan and Rachel, it's a delightful place to have a drink (or 3) with friends, lovers or estranged parents. Me and my dad really enjoyed it and plan to meet up again soon. Fingers crossed he doesn't cheat again.

Houdini’s is a unique cocktail experience that transfers you back into the 1920s, I had anniversary drinks there after dinner and was greeted with free Prosecco on arrival. Then after 8 cocktails later we couldn’t find an issue with any of them as they was fantastic! I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quirky unique speak easy experience! Alex the waiter was phenomenal and took amazing care of us I can’t thank him enough! Will definitely be back!

One of the best bars in Southampton! The staff were so friendly and entertaining. The drinks were AMAZING! you could even make a request for a random cocktail which was fun. Thank you Alexander and Rachel for making our night a memorable one. We will definitely be returning! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great hidden gem for pre-dinner or post-dinner cocktails. Very small, about 8 tables of upto 6, but really unusual and quirky. Husband and wife head up team with great customer service and theatrical cocktails. Look out for comedian nights and other themed evenings. We didn't eat, but had a couple of drinks before going out for dinner. Worth a try if you're up for something different!

Food seems to be limited to bar snacks but they're alright. Service is lovely but the bartender seemed a bit shy/quiet. She might have been new. Either way the drinks were served to our table quickly and they were lovely. Atmosphere is perfect. Lovely art deco design and the casino tables add a great underground speakeasy vibe. Houdini’s After Dark is a fun spot to head to for drinks. I loved the dark ambience and the poker tables. There is a lot of variety for cocktails and they are affordable too! I highly recommend!

The vibes are dark and twisted with a touch of Great Gatsby. Must visit if you like to spend some quality time at the Cocktail bar with some jazz music!

Great staff and had a lot of fun with the roulette table. Daryl provided great service and was something different to do on a night out.

A really great atmosphere. Really feels like a prohibition speakeasy with Art Deco fixtures and fantastic cocktail list with some really unique offerings. If you’re out in Southampton and want something just that little bit different to add to your evening, this makes a really great addition.
