overpriced, small portions and they were heating things in the microwave like the sausages, just because theyre in Westbourne, they think they cab charge over the odds for basic food. never again! the Westbourne pub and also Saffron opposite offer much better food/drink and a lot better value. I wouldn't recommend this place sadly. It's such a shame as ive recently moved here.

Average food, very over priced, also witnessed sausages being cooked in the microwave. Very small portions for the price you pay. Obviously because of the area it's in they know they can get away with charging more... sadly won't be going again and if anyone asks I shall be truthful. Two small meals with a hot drink for two people £28!! As for the staff, when we asked to split the bill we we made to feel like it was a bit of an inconvenience to them.

We just came in for a sandwich for lunch. There was a good selection, however we thought that it was a bit pricey for what we were given compared to some other cafes. The food was okay, and the staff were really friendly. I got the mozzarella, ham and tomato toastie.

worst thing ever had in this area my one and only experience to leave the scones remained on the plate couldn't finish them all run away from this tea house!

Had the best sausage ( 2) egg chips and bean's ever also a jacket potato filled with prawns and mayo perfect

Lovely meal , service very good , didn’t have to wait long , jacket potatoes with Cornation Chicken and latte . Good value for money

Always a decent breakfast, fast polite service

Breakfast was truly awful. Taste of vinegar was strong throughout. Left a full plate. Which is a shame because the coffee was good.

We needed to find a new cafe since our usual one closed, We came here and had a full English each. The food was lovely and a great service and for under 20quid! Highly recommend 👍

The 2 stars is for the position. We ordered 2 x brie and bacon panini's. The filling was almost non existent, a slither of brie which was mostly the rind and a small fatty rasher of bacon. It wasn't in fact a panini, more like a bread roll slightly toasted. A complete disappointment, especially as they were £8.50 each!

The good thing about this place is you know it’s always going to be poor service and average food so there is no disappointment. There is no extractor in the kitchen so one can always guarantee stinky clothing if you choose to eat inside and if you go anytime near 2 or 3 o clock then be prepared to be dispatched soon after or just have a cup of tea for £ 2.20.

Lovely little cafe in a nice setting. (Westbourne Arcade). We had a full English Breakfast. All cooked to perfection. Bacon nice and thick. Sausages tasty. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Full English cost £9. Not to expensive. Would definitely go back when in the area.

Really pleasant staff. Food was fantastic. Fresh and delicious. The seafood platter was thoroughly enjoyable. As was the gin and tonic😁😁

Thought it would be nice to sit outside in the beautiful Arcade of one of our favourite places in Westbourne. We placed our order of a tea and coffee before we ordered lunch from there. The older woman bought out our tea and coffee and said “That’s £5:20 if you’re not having anything else” We didn’t get a chance to say we wanted lunch!!!!! So, we paid and talked about where to go for lunch!! Rude woman. As we were leaving I assisted 3 ladies (one with a mobility aid) and offered our table. They were very happy for the help and the rude lady came out and was not happy that two small seater tables had been put together to fit the 3 ladies on. I won’t be re visiting…. Have had similar experience in the same place previously

Lovely food, quick service and really nice staff!

Excellent cafe in the arcade, lovely friendly staff and the coffee was good. I enjoyed a scone with butter and jam and husband had the coffee and walnut cake which he said was delicious! It is busy so be patient….remember they are doing their best.🙂

A basic cafe that does the basic things well and at ridiculously low prices. Yes there are more fashionable joints nearby but why waste your money.

I am totally disgusted with the customer service in this coffee shop!! I won’t ever come here again. We arrived there and there were 5 of us altogether. We sat down and we pushed a second table together with ours. We all had cream teas. We were enjoying it as you do. We weren’t asked if we would like anything else. The manager whatever he was came over and couldn’t wait to get rid of us. All of a sudden a group of 3 people came in and our second table was whipped away from us under our noses whilst we were still drinking our tea and we were left with one table and one of us had to stand as our chair was pushed aside. Then I asked my son to go and pay with my card at the till because by this point we had all had enough and wanted to leave. My son was then told to go back to the table and they would come over to take payment. So 3 of our group went outside to wait and I sat at the table waiting with a friend to pay and it took 3 times for me to wave to one of the waitresses who were very unfriendly to come over and take payment. Eventually she came over and took our payment. I shall never set foot into this useless, unfriendly, disgusting place ever again!! Whilst we were waiting at our table ready to pay we noticed the rude manager was arguing and having a domestic moment with the staff over the counter. They don’t have a single clue!!!!! What a PLACE!!!! I would t recommend this dump to anyone!

Visiting Westbourne and needed to rest our legs and have a cuppa... we sat down outside, but inside the arcade (wonderful place to be!)... the owner came out and said they'd finished food for the day... we now realise he was close to closing! But he very kindly offered us tea and cake, which was wonderful! A large slice of warm Dorset Apple cake with a dollop of cream and a very generous large pot of tea without being rushed! Wonderful find, great value and we will be back!

Been a long time since visiting Westbourne ( Corvid) and revisited the Terrace Cafe in the arcade. This time along with my partner, the cafe was popular with nearly all the table outside occupied. We managed to get a table and ordered our coffee and eats. The service was quick by the waitress soon our coffee's came shortly after the food. Overall the service was very good, food excellent.

Terrible service. My mother in law and I popped in to have a quick milkshake before her appointment she needed to go to. The waitress was incredibly rude, when she brought the drinks over she made it very clear this was 6 pounds and rushed off to another table. I can honestly say we sat and quickly drunk the horrible milkshake and left. She clearly didn't want to waste her time making us feel welcome as we only ordered drinks. It's a shame cause if we had a nice time we would have gone back to eat something after the appointment. Will not go back

Been coming here for years my partner loves a full English breakfast and always reckons this is the best place. It’s lovely situated in the arcade with seating inside and out very popular with the locals. Nice chap who makes the food. He has a tiny kitchen and I wonder how he manages so well, he has it mastered. You can get a vegan breakfast I have had jacket potatoes there and alway very nice with a crispy salad Would definitely recommend this cafe.

Had lunch here last saturday, bournemouth was packed so we were just glad to find a table. But service was excellent , very customer focused so we would definitlely look to come back another time. Good range of lunch options - vegan sharing board , big pizzas etc

An excellent venue for coffee, drinks or meals. Great terrace atmosphere enhanced by prompt and efficient service by the super friendly staff. We visited the cafe several times during our Bournemouth stay and will make a point of enjoying their hospitality during future visits.

The Terrace cafe we found by chance. On entering we were welcomed by a very polite and lovely waitress who showed us to a table and later took our order. We can't fault this place and I would give them ten out of nine 🤣😉

Walked into this cafe feeling hungry and cold, wanting something hot and with substance. I ordered. The transaction went through as I thought. Apple Pay payment. They started putting baked beans in the microwave and a jacket potato in the other microwave. One staff member started to make a sandwich. While making this sandwich he was trying to get a signal from the card machine. Holding it up in the air, then placing it near the cutting board. Wiping a dirty knife on his apron. This card machine was never wiped after greasy hands had touched it. He asked me if I had a card at hand. I was thinking surely this would not make a difference if their card machine could not get a signal. He then asked if I was local. Which I am pretty much. I felt reluctant to drive home get my card, then go back. From what I saw of the hygiene I couldn’t be bothered. I offered to leave empty handed. They were happy with this. This is my first and last visit.

We have been going to The Terrace Café for quite a long time now and rated their All Day Breakfast very highly and recommended to friends. Since the Cafe has reopened after lockdown the All Day Breakfast has gone down hill in quality very fast....

I love this place. Staff are always really nice and breakfast is superb.

Awful experience. The staff are very young and potentially not trained up sufficiently - not their fault at all. We came for breakfast, half way through pouring our tea from the pot, a lump of what I can only say felt like soggy toast or meat gristle came out of the tea pot into my cup! I called the waitress over and showed her, she asked if I wanted a new pot... I said I'd like to know what it was that came out of the pot and she said she didn't know. They replaced the tea cups and pots but the new ones also looked dirty with old tea stains on. I can only presume they don't wash their pots properly and a previous customer had dunked some food in it previously. Really made me feel quite unwell. I was surprised that they didn't send a manager over to apologise or show more concern. I wouldn't return.

I visited this place today. I noticed that when people left there tables I never saw them being cleaned between customers. As there appeared to be a lot of elderly clientele surly this should be a priority during this pandemic

Nice cosy cafe situated in The Arcade in Westbourne. You can sit in or out and there is waitress service. There is also toilet facilities but just one. Jules and his wife who run it are very obliging and friendly as are the waiting staff. Not too pricey either.

Looked online before going out today to see what cafe's in Westbourne had good reviews as we fancied trying somewhere new, this cafe had good reviews so thought we would give it a try, the food was nice both went for baguettes and a portion...

Comemos aquí regularmente, cuando estamos en Westbourne. Siempre comida realmente agradable, presentada bien y muy sabrosa. Creo que una de las cosas realmente buenas de The Terrace es que también atrae a las personas mayores, que comen solas y que encuentran un lugar agradable para estar, y los almuerzos son realmente generosos. No es caro y vale la pena una visita.

The only good thing about this place was the tea. It was very claustrophobic and loud. I also think that the person who served us was miffed because we only wanted tea and not lunch. Not going back.

The three of us really enjoyed our traditional puddings and teas here yesterday. Friendly service, seating inside or under the canopy of the 1884-built glass roof of the Arcade, fantastic food and great value. Love it!

I have been a few times and each time the food and service and general vibe are just fantastic. The owners are always friendly and the food always delicious. Today I had the eggs, salmon and avocado on toast and it was SOOO good. The eggs were cooked to perfection (and I am fussy about eggs!) and the cappuccino I had with it was lovely. My friend had the omelette and chips which she said were yummy!A bit of sunshine on an otherwise rainy miserable day!

Yet again on a visit to Westbourne visited the Fountain Café in the Westbourne Arcade stopped and had m usual Latte coffee and a teacake. This time asked for it Not to be toasted, which the waitress seemed not to understand. Anyway it arrived as asked. As always excellent service here.

I have eaten in many places in westbourne but will not be visiting this cafe again.I arrived a rather unfriendly older lady came out to serve.I ordered a full English, large cappuccino and an orange juice.The drinks were plonked on the table, the lady then started to stroke a dog without washing her hands after ( very hygienic!) She then served my breakfast which unfortunately was swimming in grease. The plate had grease all round the edge where clearly they couldn’t be bothered to clean before serving.Will not go back

Often visit this lovely Cafe. Waitresses are always kind, efficient and chatty. Had an afternoon tea today and the scones were warm and served with ham and clotted cream. Lovely food and lovely service. Definitely would recommend for any meal during the day.

Nice food Sometimes exceptional More than a cafe

Nice cafe overlooking the Gardens. We sat outside on the terrace. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pizza was very nice, and the choice of tea coffee and cakes were great.

We arrived at approximately 10am for breakfast and were definitely not disappointed. The café was clean and spacious and we received a friendly welcome. The full English was excellent as was the coffee.

Pedimos el té de la tarde que consistía en dos Scones de frutas, crema de coagulación y mermelada. Cuando llegó, me di cuenta de que los Scones eran solo dos pequeños Scones de un paquete de un supermercado, así que no eran caseros. Solo me dieron una cucharada llena de mermelada en una olla. Buena cantidad de crema coagulada sin embargo. No volvería de nuevo.
