Great ambience, felt like being abroad with the sun shining in from the sea! Shame they are refurbishing and looking at different decor!

Great pit stop when going for a coastal walk, Southbourne to Bournemouth.

This is the place to visit when you go to Boscombe Pier, decor is so nice, staff are lovely and food is excellent. Lovely view of the beach and outdoor seating area.

He revisado el restaurante antes, pero no desde su reciente remodelación. Aunque se había rumoreado que el Comedor iba a ser completamente remodernizado. Me complace decir que aparte de las nuevas puertas y más estoy seguro de que, detrás de escena, sigue siendo su antiguo yo. Soy local, por cierto. Como de costumbre, el personal, incluido el cocinero, que a veces aparece desde la cocina, es muy amable y alegre. El Diner en sí es un lugar muy alegre y para mí, la música, es perfecta. La mayoría cosas viejas, pero teniendo en cuenta el grupo de edad habitual, muy aceptable. La comida está muy bien preparada con una buena selección.

Stopped here today, as our usual coffee stop was packed. Excellent, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. We were served by Ha, who was lovely. Great views of the beach and good decor inside. Thank you!

Traje a mi mamá y a su amiga aquí hoy para almorzar y no podría haber pedido más. La señora que sirve en el mostrador era muy servicial y amable y nos hizo sentir tan bienvenidos. La comida llegó muy rápido y estaba caliente y delicioso. Tuve la suerte de poder agradecer al amable chef sonriente al final por su increíble comida. Recomendaría este lugar para cualquiera que busque disfrutar de un ambiente relajado y agradable con una fantástica selección de menús. Haremos que sea un viaje regular

Don't close at 4. Got there at 2 on a Saturday and it was closed! Highly disappointed, came from reading to gl here as it's my favourite spot.

Absolutely lovely little diner. Reasonably priced, especially given its location. We always go hear if we fancy a day at the beach to blow the cobwebs away.

The service took a long time, despite it being quiet when we arrived. We overheard a conversation stating that all food is prepared fresh but that's simply not true. My pancakes were solid from where they had been zapped in the microwave. And the Panini's come prepared and are then heated up, so if you have a dietary request or a requirement I would strongly suggest you check with staff before ordering. Lovely location but we will not be revisiting.

Stopped off on a day at the beach. Was a lovely sunny day in October. Allow dogs inside which is great. Only had a teacake but it was served on a lovely warm plate and was beautiful with melting butter and a pot of jam. Menu looked good and you have a nice view of the sea. Would definitely return here on another visit

I strongly recommend the Ice cream in the Prom diner, very nice taste, 2 scoops in a biscuit cone for £5.5 really good quality and price! I tried the honeycomb swirl and Chocolate fudge and lotus, all are so delicious.. team is so nice.. Highly recommended..location is fascinating ❤️❤️❤️

Relaxed atmosphere right on the beach.

Update: Bad coffee with a side order of contempt!! Returned to Prom Diner today. Sadly the lovely staff from my previous visit weren't there. I was 'served', and I use the word loosely, by sullen, sourfaced Ismene, who could not have made me feel less welcome if she tried. The flat white coffee, delicious last time, was essentially a latte with very little coffee in it. When I pointed this out to the sullen girl she pretty much shrugged. When I said that a smile goes a long way, she turned away with a look of contempt. She literally could not care less! I won't be back unless the original lady is working. Second visit was awful. Unhelpful, unfriendly staff, and bad coffee. It's a big shame. Lovely, bright and welcoming. Dogs allowed, which is always a bonus. The chocolate brownie was fabulous! The staff were very helpful and friendly 🙂

This is a nice little café for breakfast. Designed to look like an American diner in the old days. Right on the beach with a terrace overlooking the sea. It's never usually crowded and the service is good. Their standard English breakfast is as good as more expensive places in the area.

Need to update Google as said open until 5pm, but closed when arrived at 4:20pm

The diner has an amazing beach view with a good selection of breakfast menu. We spent a lovely morning there :)

Pensé que esto era un café de comida frita y casi camina, pero en el menú se enumeran los sándwiches. El encantador Ha no solo me cortó una generosa rebanada de café recién horneado y pastel de nuez, sino que organizó un sándwich de atún y pepino hecho a mano en un encantador pan integral suave para mi esposa. Ambos estamos tambaleándonos y ella insistió en llevar nuestra comida y luego nuestros deliciosos cafés a través del baile de graduación al banco junto al mar en el que estábamos sentados. Un gran hallazgo. No te pierdas si estás en Boscombe. Están justo a lo largo del baile hacia Bournemouth desde el muelle. (Y una ventaja adicional para los ancianos hay dos baños bien mantenidos y una estación de hidratación cerca! )

I'd been looking forward to this place for months especially the banana split. I had a milkshake and the buttermilk chicken burger meal. Both were lovely and the chips even more so; the dessert however was somewhat lackluster even more so given the £8 price tag. As to the diner itself, and having lived in the US, it wasn't a bad replica and it's location right by the beach, make it an overall pleasant place to eat.

Nice food, and staff were lovely, I do feel the price of the breakfast was slightly pricey, but this could be standard pricing for this area. That being said, I would reccomend going as the food is lovely, staff are friendly, and you can't beat the American diner feel!

Poor quality of service, dirty toilet without soap inside. Never ordered espresso. They sell vodka + 7up with plastic pepsi cup!

Visited this place for lunch after a walk along the seafront. American style diner. I opted for the chicken burger meal, The burger was nice, the chips were too overdone for my liking. Others in my group had the fish and chips and were a little unimpressed. Drinks were a bit watery. No toilets here, there are public toilets a short walk away.

Awful place. burger was o.k. fairground quality. Chips you could not eat just burnt to a crisp all 4 meals were like that. Service was poor. There is no atmosphere in the place. Waste of 54 pound for 4 burgers and chips with soft small drink.

Just a great place to eat ,when at the beach ⛱.

We stopped to get a bite to eat on a early Sunday morning, and enjoyed some pancakes and coffee.

Prices are ridiculously high. Bought fish and chips. The fish was half the size of what you get in other places, chips were overcooked. The whole meal cost £12.50 and did not even include the drink. Rip off, nothing good apart from decorations. Will not buy again

Great shakes, lots of ice cream and also great smoothies. Great place to stop after a long walk along Bournemouth beach.

Fui a este lugar hoy 09 / 08 / 24 El servidor (una señora mayor dijo que no se acepta dinero en efectivo) Conseguimos la tarjeta y pedimos comida, nuestra comida fue dada a otra señora (número llamado mal) que ganó un premio mayor como la otra señora pidió la mitad de la cantidad de comida. Tuve que esperar 20 minutos y mientras esperaba otro caballero entró con su bolsa de comida y d dijo que faltaban papas fritas. Muy decepcionante ya que el comensal apenas tenía mesas comiendo o la gente pedía comida Las papas fritas sobraron y fueron repugnantes.

As someone who lives hours away, coming to the beach is always a special time and we love this place! Great value for money and food is really good. Could do with a few gluten/dairy free options, but otherwise it’s incredible.

Nice place the lady that served us was very friendly 😊 they don't take cash payment so make sure you have your bank card or if your like the many people in the world that's has everything on there phone make sure its changed 😊

Came here for breakfast. We had the full English and it was quite big. Nice quality bacon and sausage.

So let me start by saying the service was brilliant. The lovely ladies behind the counter were so accommodating. My daughter only wanted cheese in a bun and they managed to sort this for her due to her being one picky eater. Also they fry the food separately from their meat products which is fantastic if you have a halal/vegetarian/ vegan diet. Honestly, really lovely place to eat, food was good quality and the kids loved it too. Thank you for the great service and amazing experience.

I only had a drink and cake, so I can't comment on other food.

La comida y el servicio no podrían haber sido mejores. Ha, el gerente, cuidó de nuestra reserva con gran eficiencia y cortesía e hizo que nuestro grupo de diecisiete muy cómodo y bienvenido. La comida salió caliente, y rápidamente así que todos pudimos comer al mismo tiempo. Creo que el Bacalao y patatas fritas fue el mejor que he experimentado y las vistas al mar, y la zona de cubierta en la playa para helados después fueron fantásticos. Fue muy fácil para nuestros amigos en sillas de ruedas llegar desde el coche al restaurante y a la playa. Un gran día.

I've been here a few times and been quite suprised at how great the food is and the affordability!! The staff are super friendly and both times I've been there has been a lady called 'Ha' (I think that's her name) she's super friendly and very inviting. Love coming here now

Had a quick bite to eat at the the prom diner, 50s styled decor complete with booths. Food was very good with a generous portion. Would recommend when your walking the prom at Boscombe.

Love this find on the promenade between Boscombe and Bournemouth. Great cafe with style and good staff. It wasn't busy at all on a windy, wet day but served with a smile and on any day the food looks great. I had hot dog with a layer of caramelised onions yum yum.

It's an American style breakfast at the beach of Bournemouth (Boscombe Pier). Unfortunately there is no toilet, so you have to use the public toilet. Otherwise I liked the diner very much.

A very cheerful and comfortable decor with great views. Quite well priced and easy to get to. The staff are for the most part very friendly and the tables are cleared of debris on a regular basis. As I said earlier, the Diner has a very cheerful ambience with an entirely appropriate background music. This is, by the way, my additional review, following a recent family visit. Our daughter-in-law loves the sea and so the Diner seemed to be the obvious choice, as much of the seating allows a good sea view. Although the Diner was pretty crowded, the meal, as always, came quickly and we were offered a selection of condiments. The staff are for the most part very friendly, though I would pick out "Ha" for specific mention. She is always cheerful and very friendly.

Great little cafe/dinner tucked in just off the seafront. Reasonably priced and a good selection of hot and cold foods, hot drinks and snacks. Dog friendly as well with indoor and outdoor seating (for those nicer days)

We were there around noon on Sunday, second week of September. Hungry and trying to escape the sudden rain. In short - great location, average food and service. My flat white was a 2 in 1 Nescafé, as I saw the waitress “brew” it. The cod was over fried, the burger was missing any other elements outside of beef and a single leaf of salad. The fries and pancakes were tasty. The young waitress seemed very uninterested and didn’t even know the number of our table, it felt like us ordering our food was of great burden for her. The lady who brought the food out was very pleasant and professional. 1 star for the young waitress and 5 for her more experienced colleague. The chef accommodated our request to have salt free food for our toddler, which was great.

We ate beach side . Great service, and the food was fantastic. Chips were the best I’ve had for a long time .so crisp & lovely fluffy texture . We all enjoyed our respective choices & throughly recommend & would definitely return. Thank you for a great brunch .

Had such a lovely breakfast right on the beach, was such a special way to start our day exploring Bournemouth! Staff were really friendly and breakfast was delicious and arrived quickly. Also everything was really reasonably priced, such a bonus for a family on a budget. Would come back every sunny day if we could.

Very friendly staff and amazing food

We came as a family for the Airshow and ordered burgers and nachos and drinks. The food came relatively quick, considering the massive queue. The lady taking our order was lovely and polite, the lady bringing our food to our table was of the same attitude. The food was amazing. All of the tables were being cleared quickly for others to make use of the table. This was amazing service by all of the prom diner staff, considering the amount of people that were enjoying the Airshow. We were on the beach for the duration and kept returning for snacks and ice cream until dusk. We were amazed at how well the staff coped with the massive amount of customers and how they still managed to provide smiley customer service after what must have been a really long day for them. The people who served us were there when we arrived and were there when we left, with lots of clearing up still to do. Well done, Prom Diner. We will definitely be back.

Whilst visiting the diner for a quick drink we witnessed a very unpleasant man in pink complaining endlessly and threatening the very polite,professional manager with a poor review despite him apologising profusely but this was ignored.We watched in bisbeief as he finally finished his pint and procceded to rant at somebody in a car by the Pier. The manager deserves a medal for his calm approach despite the customer ignoring his expectations.

Annual pilgrimage for some cheesy nachos with all the extras. Nice and relaxed , next to the beach so great for quick bite to eat. The staff are lovely and the service is quick.

Great friendly service .we wanted breakfast. Was in queue before 12.20 but served after 12.32 so could not get breakfast. Still suggested great other things on menu which we ordered and enjoyed .

Oh dear......... Took refuge from the windy beach but would have taken in less salt drinking from the sea Where to start? Wished I hadn't! Tuna panini, can't be hard to get right , correct? Stale bread, grey tuna that last saw its can before covid , sweetcorn picked a decade or so ago. "Cheesy Chips" yeah my brain yelled "no no no" my stomach moaned. Can't even bring myself to describe them Vanilla milkshake ? We'll barely flavoured milk frothed up a bit Staff don't bother to ask if everything is ok...they know Toast with jam was good ! A cool place to eat when visiting Bournemouth and felling peckish for some dalish savory food.

Even with a queue, they serve very quickly. Clean tables, good coffee, and reasonable prices. Nice breakfasts and choice of snacks.

We had a very upset newborn baby who needed feeding but the prom diner would not accommodate in heating his bottle up!! We were going to have a breakfast but happily took our custom to another restaurant who would heat the bottle up, what is the world coming to.

Very nice place, warm welcome, fine choice and quality of the food and drinks, reasonable prices, together with a fantastic atmosphere and view. All this give this place a special touch not seen elsewhere around. Thanks.

I only had a chocolate milkshake when I came here but it was the best milkshake I have had in a long time, the next time i'm in the area I will definitely go back.

Love this place. For a beach side diner the food is great, milkshakes and banana splits are just lovely!!!
