Chris was a brilliant server at slug and lettuce Bournemouth - very attentive and lots of drinks!

Chris was our server for the Abba themed bottomless brunch, he was an amazing server! Very friendly and kind and frequently filling our drinks up😊 Made our day out a brilliant time.

Our server Chris was amazing. With how many tables he had on his own, he made sure we were topped up on drinks and having a good time. We will come back for Chris.

Had a cocktail yesterday. It was small and rubbish! It cost £12.95 for pins colada Recently I had a different cocktail and that was brilliant, Sex on the Beach made by a more experienced male server!

Went yesterday for Afternoon Tea. The staff were most excellent, especially our server. Great value for money at £15 a head. My favourite part without a doubt was the scones. The atmosphere was very relaxed, great views when sat by the window and is disabled friendly with an accessible disabled toilet. Will definitely go there again.

The food was quite simply dry and disgusting. Nothing freshly made, presentation was terrible, and my side of macaroni cheese was clearly microwaved to nuclear proportions and obviously Heinz tinned. Overpriced and tasteless menu. Bar staff were complaining they had been up until 3am and had to start work at 11am, surely that's not legal?

Amazing service and fab food. Chicken burger came recommended as 10/10 and by god it was. Thank you so much to Tasha-super attentive server who made sure that our next drink arrived as we finished the previous for bottomless. Despite the limited options for bottomless drinks, this was the best experience and I highly recommend.

We had the cocktail afternoon tea, served by the lovely Sam and Tasha. Food and drink was delicious as usual. Slight issue with the deposit which was rapidly sorted out by Sam. Highly recommended for afternoon tea in a lovely atmosphere

Jacob looked after us and was delightful. Very personable and chatty and gave us info about an upcoming trip to Weymouth.

Has a table booked for brunch on a busy Saturday and had such a fun time! Jacob served us and he was amazing! So lovely and attentive! The food was also delicious We will be back! Also a shout out to Chris who was also lovely to chat with!!

Our waitress Adison was amazing with constant refills! We changed servers half way though which slowed downs the drinks slightly, but Adison made us feel very accommodated and the food was lovely!

I’ve always enjoyed Slug & Lettuce as a bar in the evenings, but after this lunch visit, I can confidently say it holds its own as a restaurant too. There’s something uniquely enjoyable about having a well-prepared meal in a stylish bar setting, and this experience proved just that. I ordered the Steak & Fries, and I was genuinely impressed. The steak itself was of good quality, with just the right amount of marbling to keep it tender and flavourful. Most importantly, it was cooked exactly to my requested doneness—a sign of both a well-trained kitchen and attentive service. The exterior was beautifully seared, creating a rich, caramelised crust, while the interior remained succulent and juicy. The fries were crisp and well-seasoned, making for a satisfying accompaniment. Beyond the food, I appreciated how the staff took care to ensure my preferences were met, which speaks volumes about the service quality. And for the standard of food offered, the prices were more than reasonable. If you’re looking for a place that delivers both a chic bar vibe and a solid dining experience, this is definitely one to consider!

As someone who has worked in hospitality I hate to leave a bad review but I feel on this occasion it is totally necessary.I went last Saturday (18th jan) with a large group for a friends birthday.Usually we love slug as the vibes are great and usually staff are all fine however me and my friend ordered our drinks through the app on this occasion as it’s 241 cocktails. One friend ordered two drinks on the app waited 15 minutes and then spoke to staff and they gave him his drinks then me and my friend ordered two pins coladas separately on her phone. I would also like to add we had been ordering through the app for the last hour as the staff told us to due to the fact we had a table and received all our drinks. waited again 15 minutes and went to check as staff were just stood talking they then said the order had not come through on there till so we then showed photos of bank statements ,showing the time of the order and then told the staff what we ordered. When I got up the bank statements which said pending the staff member said “well that’s what happens when you don’t have enough money” in a belittling tone. They said “as it says pending the payment hasn’t gone through” but money was deducted from my account and was just processing(I have checked my bank statements this morning and the money has left my account and all now say settled) all our previous drinks through the app also said pending in my bank statements but we had received them drinks.They then made us pay again for our drinks but only gave us one set. I then said to the two staff members (Dan and Daniel) that we will pay for this now and we will go sit and enjoy the rest of our night but if the money is removed from my account and you are incorrect then we will be making a complaint and asking for my refund. the staff then realised that the till had ran out of till roll and then began putting a new roll in to which printed the receipt of our order which didn’t say declined etc but still told me and my friend we were in the wrong and we had got mixed up. I then said can you explain how you have the receipt on the till but are still saying we have made a mistake. The staff member then said “go sit down , we’re too busy to talk to you” and then kept repeating in my face to go sit down. We walked away as we could tell there was no talking and sorting this out there as the staff were so hostile and rude.As we walked away we looked back to see both staff members laughing about the situation which mad me even more disappointed in their unprofessionalism and I definitely did not find it funny but actually quite embarrassing as they are representing your company and humiliating customers. Luckily i didn’t let this ruin the rest of my evening due to my character but If this were anyone else it could have really ruined their night and left them short of money. I didn’t want to post this review online as I just wanted my money refunded so on Sunday I sent an email through stone gate as instructed by one of the staff members, I waited the 72 hours it could take for a response but got nothing so started to call up this slug and lettuce, every time it just went to voice mail. After trying so many times I just left a voice mail waiting for a call back. I waited 2 days but never got a call back so I tried calling them up again. I got through to someone who told me that the email needed to have been sent to them so she told me to forward to her. I have done this and 2 days later have still not received a reply so I tried calling back again today and again got put through to voicemail!! So it is now over a week later and they have done nothing to get me my refund.

Booked a table for 2 just for drinks, usually love a Slug but this one wasnt for us, extremely noisy for 4pm in the afternoon, music was very loud, Christmas cocktails weren't the best either, Halloween ones were far better, lots of kids running around. Wont stop us going to others tho

Coeliac, had bottomless evening brunch. Emailing about gluten free food was not very helpful. I was quite anxious about what it would be like and whether if be able to eat. Once I arrived Libby made me totally comfortable. She was really knowledgeable about allergens and what I could safely eat off the menu. Some gluten free menu items are not listed, such as the gluten free cheeseburger. It was absolutely lush, we were so well looked after by Libby, with drinks flowing...what an absolute babe she was!
