Caffe Nero in Bournemouth

i had a terrible experience at the Old Christchurch Road store in Bournemouth. the woman that served me pulled the tray /away from me/ (i don’t like drink or food to be placed next to other customer’s standing at the bar — some of whom scratch their heads, ears, noses etc. right over the item that you have just purchased.) many of the workers here have no understanding of people that (perhaps) are not like themselves.

The Greek guy and Brasilia lady. They're very very lovely. They are very nice. Very kind, very friendly and always. They make me to feel nice when I come here ☺️. ❤️❤️

Best coffee. Attentive staff who are also very witty my favourite kind. Visit here on my days off. The jazz playlist that creates a sublime atmosphere every time I visit.

The two ladies in here are lovely😊. Very friendly and extremely efficient. The atmosphere is relaxing. We had given this location a miss for a couple of years due to its decline, but now with the ladies front of house, everything has changed, they have made a massive difference, thank you.

Good coffee. I like that soya milk is "on us" and not an extra cost. Cafes all very similar wherever you may visit. Mix of easy chairs and dining chairs. Staff nice, however busy. Eating choices limited, especially if not an omnivore or have allergies.

drinks were made super quickly, just like any other Caffe nerro, ample space to sit upstairs and the staff were polite

Kindness sometimes comes with crash, clang bang Went to Cafe Nero for a drink and a natter with Jake whereby I was served by someone called Rebecca who couldn’t be more attentive if she tried. She was also kind enough to give some cream for both my dogs Billy and Pape. As I was taking said tray upstairs to where the troops were sitting the tray became unbalanced and the two drinks spilled everywhere ending up in a diabolical mess. What the staff didn’t know is that my hands are very arthritic compounded by carpal tunnel syndrome so causing the incident and Jake who is sight impaired (registered blind) which is compounded by other disabilities could do little to assist. Instantly the staff member Rebecca told me not to worry and she would come and tidy up my mess but what I hadn’t realised was that she’d already begun making more drinks to replace the ones I’d spilt. Rebecca then again insisted on cleaning up my mess once she’d delivered our drinks and the dogs cream. Once all was cleaned Rebecca then came to see if all was well with us. Extraordinary conduct certainly deserves the same amount of praise Simply put, thank you.

When ordering a coffee, the barista told me I was dressed inappropriately and that I needed to wear a longer top to be served there. She told me she’d “let me off this time” as the barista behind her started laughing. Never had a barista tell me what I can and can’t wear in a cafe but it was shocking. Made me feel horrible and ruined the experience. Will not be coming back.

A nice Nero, staff were excellent and they were helpful and pleasant to everyone that came into the cafe.

In my opinion, the best retail coffee outlet.

I ordered a cup of coffee in a take away cup hoping to sit outside for a bit and then go for a walk.I was charged more even though it doesn’t state the price difference on the menu. Anyway there were no seats available outside,so I just had to leave.So why did I pay more? Also,I have noticed that all the baristas charge me differently for the same order.

It's ok for a quick drink and a chat outside when good weather. Staff in general are always very busy but still manage to be nice.

I was a regular. There was never any kind of welcome that showed they appreciated my custom. Just a curt acknowledgment that I was having the usual. I gave them chances, more than they deserved and I must've spent hundreds on their indifferent coffee and offhand service. Won't be back.

Honestly, Caffè Nero is the preferred place for me; twice per day; morning and afternoon; Americano and cheesecake 🧀. Best of the Best Caffè Nero is the best.

Two blonde girls serving us asked us if we were buying something when sat down I had already bought an ice vanilla latte and my partner joined me later on discussing what to get to then feel as if we were being kicked out. We asked about student discount and we’re told they don’t do it at all despite it being part of the app. The customer service was extremely unfriendly and felt very unwelcoming We will not be returning again and won’t be recommending.

This is my local Caffè Nero and I visit here at least 2-3 times a week on my way into work. The staff are always cheerful and friendly and my flat white is always made perfectly. I use my Vitality vouchers each week. The pain au raisin and almond croissant are always tasty! There is a deceptively large seating area upstairs and a few tables downstairs.

Quite a good experience, had to wait a minute or too to get served but staff friendly and welcoming, would visit again.

Love my oat cappuccino! The coffe taste super💞

I come here once a week for a drink and the staff are ALWAYS friendly and welcoming. Even when they are rushed off their feet, they always have a smile for you. The drinks are always top notch!

Staff friendly but the place has really declined from the buzzing lively place it used to be. Went upstairs and struggled to find a cleared and clean table, hate to see what it's like when busy. Nero is not cheap so people expect some standards of presentation. Sorry to say that we will not return.

Great coffee! Especially the new Christmas edition drinks.

Poor service, very slow and items out of stock but still advertised (just remove the hanging board behind the counter!). Also, alot of fruit flies around inside /tables hadn't been cleared and the toilet was an absolute state - even after a member of staff going in there. Plenty of other coffee shops around, I'd visit one of those next time instead of Nero.

Definitely lost a customer. Third weekend in a row I go for my coffee as I normally would with my daughter and my wife to find an empty fridge with barely any food to offer. Que going out the cafe and nothing really sorted, nearly 10 minutes waiting. someone said to me there’s been a change in management, and it doesn’t seem to have been the best of decisions!

Absolutely horrendous experience today with a new guy that I didn’t get his name but I wasn’t even asked if wanted anything while I was in the queue and when I told him myself what I wanted he turned his back at me didn’t even bother to ask me what kind of coffee I wanted. I left because I felt horrendous and he told me I was rude when I was trying to communicate with him in a really polite way. This needs to addressed with a manager because he shouldn’t be like that with a customer

Best chain for coffee, if not using an independent coffee house Neros is always best for strong black coffee.

Very pleasant Barista. Skinny Latte was rather strong, Ham & Cheese Toastie was very greasy, wet and sloppy and smaller than the ones in Costa. Doubt that I shall return.

Went in on Saturday morning. One member of staff serving, busy and overwhelmed but still polite and just about coping. Did our order fine and was very professional given the the very rude woman (manage maybe) who was rushing around with some paperwork, serving herself and her family. She made no attempt to assist with the queue that was now out the door. The only time she spoke to the guy serving was to basically accuse him of stealing and that she would have to close the whole place down “cos I can’t fix this” while waving the paperwork in his face. If I was him I would have quit right there and then. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. I haven’t seen behaviour like that since I worked in the co-op in the 80s! The one star is for the poor member of staff.

Café Nero, Bournemouth. Americano coffee, reasonably priced and to use an old cliché, as black as the Devil but as pure as a virgin, as hot as hell and as strong as steel. I don't take sugar so it's not as sweet as an angel but the barista is. Obviously a lady of impeccable taste, she called me darling. A welcome break in a pleasant café on a miserable day.

Great service here can be busy with seat outside and ground level, but if you cam climb stairs ok always plenty of seats upstairs

By far the smallest Nero ever frequented, but in no way lacking. The staff are courteous, and the cafe is very clean. There are four tables outside that can accommodate 16 customers, and inside it has a few comfortable chairs for those that need to relax that little bit more. No loud music. Simply a calm and quiet environment, facilitating the opportunity to enjoy your drink of choice and seek refuge from the day whilst doing so.

Fantastic coffee! In my opinion the best in town. And I highly recommend their Apricot Danishes along with their other sweet pastries and the pannetone too.
