Visited it on a Saturday afternoon and wow was it busy. However service was quick, decent range of craft on the bar. Would like to go back when it’s a little less hectic

The most important feature of this bar and this area is that Jack the Ripper committed the murders in this area and all the victims have this bar in common. Considering that the murders were committed in the 1880s, imagine how old, authentic and deep-rooted the place is. 15 minutes to central London. In the distance. One bus😉

Great bar. Lazy staff. If you go up to the cocktail lounge. He didn’t want to make a cocktail but the guy next to him made one. Avoid the young lazy bartender. Ask the bar back. He’s more accommodating.

Last night my friend and I, after a dinner in a lovely Asian restaurant in Brick Lane, as you do, we decided to have our last drink at the famous The Ten Bells. Was busy, good atmosphere. After we finished drink a bottle of prosseco, which wasn’t as cold as we expected, but we enjoy it anyway, we decided to pop upstairs where there were cocktails available to purchase. We thought to have the last drink of the night and finish on high spirit. Before going upstairs, we decided to go to the loo, but seeing how the stairs were so old, probably full of history, we took some pictures while we were there. All of sudden a girl came from upstairs, telling us off, to get out of her way. We just laughed and finished taking the pictures anyway. However, when we reached the cocktail bar, the same girl were behind the bar, flipping her fingers onto her phone, looking miserable, like she hate her job. Meanwhile, her colleague, a nice young man, served us, very polite, made us feel so welcome. When I asked him who was she, he told that she, Megan her name, was the supervisor, which made me feel shocked. How come a supervisor could look miserable like that, let alone rude with customers? Many people goes to The Ten Bells to have the experience to drink in a pub where by the history, was where Jack the Ripper could maybe being in 1888. I really hope that the management explain to her that customers are not always right but at least treat them well and with more enthusiasm. By the way, the cocktail was delicious.

We popped in here after doing the ripper tour, It just seemed appropriate. The decor was tired but still nice and suited to its surroundings. Service was just Service. My partner had a bottle of zero so no worries with that but I had a pint of draught beer. I'd say it was definitely the worst drink I'd had in 20 years. Cost was a tad over £11 which was probably to be expected because of the location. As requested by the owner I've added a photo of the offending beer which was something pale.

One of my favorite stops when in London. The obvious stop for Ripper fans and folks taking the tour - stop before and after! Smaller bar but cozy, solid and attentive staff. No food, save some chips but plenty of other places around to eat so no worries. Very old London feel to the bathrooms, but they do the job! Espresso martinis ON DRAFT! Always at least a little busy so fun atmosphere. Be sure to stop at Spitalfields market across the street, another must see. Aldgate East was closed underground stop! Stop by, you'll have fun!

The Ten Bells is a smaller pub on site since the 17th century and a character in the Jack the Ripper legend. The basement bathrooms are said to be haunted but the pints upstairs and music are enjoyable as well. Wish they had merch, I'd be buying Ten Bells Pub shirts for everyone back home. Literally flew in from Canada for 24 hours, just to spend a night at the Ten Bells Pub.. One of London's most iconic Pubs. I was told by the millennial blonde manager that there was "no record of the reservation in her system". After being informed of the trip, she could have cared less that a patron flew 5,804 kilometers to visit and directed me to the top floor of the building to play computer bar trivia. New ownership took over 48 hours ago. You guys are off to a brilliant start! Well done!! If I could leave you zero stars, I would.
