we visited the telegraph around september 2012 for sunday lunch and were very impressed with the food so decided to take the family there on christmas day a bit of a risk really as if the food had not been good would have blighted christmas , but need not have worried as the food was great we all had different dishes and every one was lovely ,the staff were very friendly and helpfull ,all in all will definatly be returning ,the cost per person was £55 ,half price for children under 12 and worth every penny have paid much more and enjoyed less in the past

We called in for a late Sunday lunch... friendly and helpful staff served us up an excellent meal... lovely, tender meat and freshly cooked vegetables. Highly recommended

Very Good Food at reasonable price. Ample servings. Try the Pies wit Gravy. Very delicious I will definitely be back again in the future.

An empty pub has little atmosphere. The meal was disappointing. My wife's fish was tasteless and dry. The batter was good though. The garden peas were overcooked. Chips were delicious but far too many. Not a great celebration of our 54th wedding anniversary!

Great pub and super friendly staff. 5 old mates(and CAMRA members) on a narrow boat trip last here 5 years ago. what a change! We had a lively evening with some hilarious banter with barperson/waitress Sianne. Steak and red wine meal deals good value and a pleasure to find a pub that didnt serve the dreaded Doombar. In Siannes words 'no self respecting pub should have Doombar'. Thoroughly recommended

Being a local, two of us popped in on the off chance to eat on a Saturday afternoon. It's the first time we have eaten there. The pub itself is lovely and famed for its connections to Princess Diana and the Spencer family. It's very close to Althorp house. I had chicken supreme, which was quite nice, but the amount wasn't great. The other person I was with had fish and chips, the fish was fine but the chips were really bad. They were hard/overcooked or looked like they had been refried. We had soft drinks with it. I wouldn't recommend the food there based on my own experience for the price we paid. Sadly, we won't be eating there again to eat, but we will still visit during the summer months as it has two lovely outside areas with seating.
