After seeing The Tea Pot on FB, being a local, thought we would pop in for scones an coffee. Placed our order an due to not being too warm weather wise, sat indoors. Firstly, the table was dirty from previous guests! (It was not busy at time of visiting). The scone I am sorry to say was not a scone! It was all crumbly! an flat in appearance! I am sure it has been frozen prior an warmed! The coffee was not hot but luke warm! Very disappointing, as mentioned, being a local I would most definitely have returned.

We popped in for a cream tea on a very hot day. There was a bit of a problem with wasps so we sat in the marquee, which was boiling. The pot of tea was perfect and the raspberry jam the best I have ever tasted. Sadly the scones, although they looked golden and delicious, were too dry and crumbly. So we were disappointed.

What a beautiful place this is. I have been here a few times as I live near by, but I took my friend this time as I have told her so much about it and she wanted to see what the fuss is about. She loves it! Lovely, quirky little place where you can just come, sit, eat and chat away (which is what we did). We brought our dogs a long too, and there were water bowls around for them to drink from. Treated ourself to a cheese scone and brownie. Delicious! I just love this place, and I’m so lucky to have it near enough on my door step.

Very disappointing experience. Almost everything they serve is bought and just served. Frozen pizza, below average scones etc. Avoid this place and go somewhere nice

Nice stop off for tea and scones but the bacon butties are not worth £4 I would expect to pay half that

A really lovely tea room run by a very friendly family. Service with a smile is definitely in evidence here! The scones are home made, as is the strawberry jam. Served with full-fat whipped cream (definitely NOT from a can) and a choice of teas and coffees. Very relaxing place to spend time in after a long walk or cycle ride. Highly recommended.

Truly my favourite place to spend an afternoon. Absolutely delicious fresh scones, and homemade jam which is superb. The scones are to die for. The setting is spectacular too, if the weather permits sitting in the tea garden is beautiful and peaceful. Many weekends in the summer months they host young musicians, authors and actors so worth keeping an eye out for events. They’ve now been running nearly forty years and you won’t get a more authentic cream tea in the county. Spectacular surrounding country for a walk or hike or cycle

An open air tea room, where you can relax with a cuppa and in the summer listren to music and eat a pizza.

After a good long walk around the White Horse it was a nice surprise to see The Teapot cafe at the bottom of the hill. It was a relief to sit down and have a lovely cup of tea and a bacon sandwich. Good quality bacon. There was a wide selection of sandwiches and other hot food - what came out of the kitchen looked very good indeed. The service was friendly and efficient - we will be back

My husband has been driving past this place en route for work for quite a while and has said about how it looks interesting & we should go. We did so today but was a real disappointment. As previous reviews have said, it looks quirky & pretty (even on a dreadful weather day like today) but the cream tea was extremely poor. The scones had a strange after taste & the cream was whipped, rather than the proper clotted..just not nice.It is a shame as if the food was good, this would be a winner as the setting is charming. We won't be going back.

Came across this little place by accident and thought it looked a bit quirky which is often a good sign. Wish we had checked the last review first! Cream tea consists of poor quality scone with jam and squirty cream! Have the owners never had a cream tea? Staff also very surly and quite offhand with couple in front of us who's children were being children. Certainly won't be going back.

If you want overpriced, basic food served by surly staff then this is the place to go to. Awful. Location is really nice, shame about the poor standard food and lack of decent service.

Bring cash for tea here. It's slightly pricey but the setting is so lovely you won't mind paying. Cheese scones are delicious :-)

This tea shop is located on the B4507 near Woolstone but it is also well-signposted off the top of The Ridgeway, There is a permanent marquee in the basic garden which means you can always sit outside. You order in the building and they bring you your order. They had live music (a female guitarist) when we were there on a Saturday afternoon-very pleasant atmosphere. A good selection of places to sit from small tables and comfy chairs to wooden tables with benches. It only seems to open weekends and there is also a popular camp-site on the farm.

Quirky menu but nice food. Popped in late in the day a d had a lovely chilli. Handily, though they don't accept cards you can pay by mobile if you've no cash.

A splendid bit of "luxury" while camping: this is a neat litttle tea room with good strong coffee, nice tea, and a cream tea that was very welcome after a day's walk.

Spent a few hours at The Narrows yesterday afternoon with extended family. Food was good for the price and certainly can complain about the drinks but the attitude of one young girl was appalling. She was dealing with table orders and complained that there were multiple orders coming through for our table, so asked if we could just order everyone’s together. We explained that we weren’t doing large rounds as a group. When approaching the bar, she looked and made a cross with her forearms before saying ‘I’m not serving’. Really poor attitude and didn’t speak even when bringing drinks to the table. Other staff seemed much more pleasant.
