Lovely deluxe afternoon tea - everything was really flavoursome with all the sweet treats being very different from each other!

My daughter gifted me an afternoon tea and I chose to come to The Tea Rooms after seeing photos of the afternoon tea. It did not disappoint. The sandwiches were freshly made and the scones and cakes delicious, especially the brownie. Plenty of tea and a fresh pot was made for us when we finished the first one. The staff were so friendly and attentive and I would recommend it to anyone My only slight comment to improve would be maybe not 3 chocolate type cakes but these and the lemon meringue one all tasted lovely

A few weeks ago now I stumbled across this cafe and it did not disappoint!! I had THEE best Biscoff cake I have EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! For £5.50 for a very nice coffee and slice of this cake. Not only on its own but with dressings of cream and drizzle. I am a big foody, especially when it comes with sweet treats and this cafe did not disappoint. I can’t wait to visit again and bring family and friends❤️ Thank you so much. Lovely staff, big compliments to Vicki’s baking skills as well as excellent customer service to boot. If you come to Folkestone don’t pass this one by!

Probably one of the best breakfasts I have had out in a long time. So good to get HOT food that tastes like it's freshly cooked with care. If I has one critism it is only that the toast could be a bit better done.

Myself and my daughter came here for an afternoon tea worth £42 through buy a gift which was bought as a present. Very disappointing as it certainly wasn’t worth what was spent. We had two scones each, which were the smallest scones I’ve ever seen on an afternoon tea . And the other cakes were tiny and not overly appealing. None asked us how the food was either. Such a shame as the presentation looked lovely.

We passed the tea room many times and decided to go in after hearing about it on radio Kent. What a pleasant surprise awaited us. A warm friendly welcome and excellent service. The staff even had a time for a chat! A warm welcome to all who enter friend or foe.🍰

I was invited along to a afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's birthday. She had a voucher birthday gift for the classic afternoon tea. It was very poor. She was advised that the cafe do not earn much from the voucher schemes. This information should not have affected our experience. But the quality of the afternoon tea has really let this business down. What we received was not the products on usual sale. We had 3 mini sandwiches that were dry and stale tasting. 2 tiny mini scones that were dry - not the scones that are usually served on the counter. The other items were 2 choc rolo size items that tasted poor chemical tasting. A piece of dry choc cake in a square that was also poor. It was as if they purchased very cheaply from cash and carry and tried to fill up the rack to make it look like a afternoon tea. I felt very sad for my friend. Her birthday and she was served very low quality. But I felt sorry for the business. As they have really given a poor impression of what they serve - the choices on the counter looking so much better. A afternoon tea should surely consist of proper sponge cakes or cupcakes or gateaux. The sandwiches should be moist and tasty and should be more than a sliver. The classic afternoon tea states unlimited tea. But nobody came to offer more tea - I asked and received 1 second cup. The best part of the package was the small pot of jam. At least that tasted as it should. But for 2 people to believe they were having a special afternoon feast of sandwiches and cakes to celebrate a birthday. To then receive a very light selection of items that tasted chemical and manufactured and not at all tasty was such a disappointment. These packages cost £18. We would have enjoyed a large toasted tea cake and a proper sandwich far better. And that cost would not have been anywhere near £18. We are members of a local ladies walking group. Over 100 ladies. So this experience would have been shared and talked about. So no chance of re bookings after such a poor experience. The business really needs to look at what it offers on this classic afternoon tea. Really unpalatable items. Such a shame for a birthday experience.

Popped in for lunch and had table service right away and the food was very tasty too. The staff are very humble and welcoming and they couldn't do enough to offer their services. Thank you very much, we will be visiting again.

Very fresh cakes and sandwiches - really friendly accommodating hosts. Would definitely go again! The bottomless tea / coffee is fantastic. The star of the show is the cheese and pickle sandwich and the swan shaped fresh cream choux bun!

What a lovely place! Always go there when visiting Folkestone. Friendly staff and sush a great atmosphere. Their waffles are just amazing!!! I planned to take a picture of my Black Forest waffles but they blew my mind away, completely forgot about it. They looked amazing, they tasted amazing! What a gem, such a lovely place so great to be able to treat my kids who require gluten and dairy free food. My daughter’s face was a picture when she was able to have waffles. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming.

We visit there once a month and enjoy the food. The staff are lovely and very helpful. There is a good range of lunch time foods

From the very first day this Tea Room opened, I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal or coffee here. The service is always very good and the staff are lovely. The standard of food is excellent and as for the cakes ….!! Simply wonderful!

We had the savoury afternoon tea which was delicious and plentiful. The staff were lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend.

We attended this tea room for afternoon tea and were left a little disappointed with the quantity of sandwiches and cakes. With three finger sandwiches each which amounted to about 4 slices in total and one sandwich each and two miniature scones and some bite size sweet treats. Also lack of attention asking whether we wanted any drink refills and whether it was ok. We were left underwhelmed with this compared to other afternoon teas that we have experienced elsewhere.

Wanted to buy two plain scones to take away. The price was 4.95 for 1 scone???? We left… success with the business; how to get rich quickly…

Perfect afternoon tea. Everything, the helpful booking phone call, friendly welcome, pleasant surroundings, and fabulous food. Fresh cut sandwiches, perfect scones, interesting selection of tasty sweet treats. I can't fault anything.

We often visit Folkestone, great place for a walk along the Leas to the Harbour Arm. We passed by the Tea Rooms on previous vists so this Sunday we fancied a light lunch and called in, so glad we did. We were welcomed in by a lovely young girl who showed us to our table, Delicious sandwiches that came with crisps, coleslaw and salad, great presentation and generous portions. Highly recommend if you're visiting Folkestone. We will be back !

We called in here for a snack lunch whilst visiting Folkestone. I had a cheese and chive scone, which was delicious, and my husband was delighted to find they did a gluten free cream tea. He said the scone was one of the best he had had and was really tasty.

Helpful and friendly staff - even booked to visit again for their Harry Potter themed afternoon tea. Food was presentable and fairly priced. Clean toilets.

Amazing afternoon tea! We chose this place as one of us is a coeliac and needs gluten free. Well this place didn't disappoint. Straightaway we were made to feel welcome and a huge amount of choice on the menu. We ordered the classic, which was beautifully presented on wooden stands and included delicious sandwiches, scones and delicacies. As a coeliac it is often disappointing and second rate, but here I felt spoilt for choice. My only regret was not buying some lemon and raspberry cake to take home. We will definitely be back!

A delicious afternoon tea here, beautifully presented, lovely fresh sandwiches and scones and devine homemade cake treats. Served with choice of teas or coffee. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be back.

There's a group of us ladies that have been going into The Tearooms for a while now, its the very best in Folkestone. The staff ,food, and drinks are first class. So welcoming, friendly, and helpful, Its very clean too!! We love it in there. We popped in last week for coffee,which was excellent, ended up enjoying the Gin!!! Fabulous. We have eaten at this cafe several times and on each occasion have very much enjoyed the experience. Service is friendly and efficient - there is a warm welcome in pleasant surroundings. There is a good selection of food which is of excellent quality. Thank you!

My first visit was back in May and yesterday was my second visit again for afternoon tea. Was not disappointed. Again, excellent food, service and ambience.

We popped here for a coffee and cake, lady serving us was very friendly and attentive, I felt at ease as I had my learning disabled sister with me. My sister wanted photos of the inside deco and the lady serving was very happy for me to take photos. Nice atmosphere too.

My new favourite tea room & trust me I have been to a few! The food was amazing & beautifully presented. The staff were very attentive & couldn't be more helpful. I'm already planning for my next visit, my birthday in February. 5* would definitely recommend

A fantastic cosy little tea shop. Caters for gluten free and vegan requirements. I had a mocha and a quiche -both of which were very tasty. Staff were very friendly and accommodated us even though it was busy.
