The Coffee Cabin in Shepway

Came across this little gem by chance whilst out for the day. Lovely food and drink served by very friendly staff. The place has a real charm about it and the prices are very reasonable. Dint try the cakes as we were full, but the selection looked good. Thanks guys, we will visit again.

This is a very friendly village cafe. We went for lunch and I had jacket potato with tuna/ cheese which was served with salad. It is dog friendly. Very clean.

Brilliant little hidden gem, snuggled in deepest darkest Kent! Delicious freshly cooked locally sourced ingredients and piping hot, with lovely tea to wash it down. Mmm Breakfast done right!

Excellent for coffee n cake ,,, yummy

We visited this morning as a group of six cyclists. We booked in advance and a table was awaiting us. Our orders were quickly taken and promptly delivered. The proprietors and staff were friendly and helpful and everyone was very happy with their order. We would definitely recommend and will return. Thank you.

Excellent breakfast and coffee/tea. My wife is a coeliac and she was delighted to find that the full English was gluten free, they also had gluten free bread. The service was very good.

Great cooked breakfast and sausage sandwiches. Owners keen to help and my special order of cold baked beans just happened without any fuss. I would recommend this place for breakfast or even casual tea / coffee and cake.

Excellent, cosy and delicious cafe offering everything you need from excellent breakfasts to tea and cake. They were careful with my allergies without being overly stressed by it which was a relief. The chap running the place was very friendly. We stopped here on our pilgrimage on the old way and the breakfasts gave us a big fuel boost. You can see how good it is by Dave absolutely tucking into his delicious breakfast here. 5 stars.

Lovely little find set in the beautiful village of Lyminge. Not overly large so I would suggest booking as very busy. Friendly welcome and made to feel right at home. Quick service, nice choice for breakfast or lunch, with lots of delightful cakes to choose from. We had the Victoria sponge, which was light and fluffy. My only complaint really is that the beans on toast could have had two slices of bread for the price.

I was meant to be having a meeting here and nobody turned up so I used it as an excuse to have an impromptu fry up with my other half. Absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend. There’s not much room for prams but we just left ours outside. There would be some room inside if you can fold your pram though! Very welcoming and great atmosphere.

We were staying near Lyminge and visited twice. An excellent light lunch (paninis and a chilli jacket potato) and a full English breakfast which was the best I’d tasted in years. Everything hot, fresh, and tasty and served by friendly and professional people. Clearly this is also very much a community hub as well as catering for visitors. A real gem!

We visited this sweet place for the best cappuccino almost every other day. Service was great and the owners, Eric and Nikki were so kind and helpful.

Great food and service, lovely village cafe.

What a wonderful cafe, my husband and I ended up stranded in the area, as our motorbike had broken down. The 2 chaps who run the cafe were wonderfully welcoming, despite being super busy they were happy for us to take up one of their lovely tables until the breakdown van arrived. The breakfast sandwiches were amazing, the coffee was great and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. If you are nearby please do drop in, it’s an absolute gem

Just had a lovely visit, sat outside in the sun watching the many cyclists go by. Got chatting to a couple of locals (with their Jack Russell) who were really friendly. As was the owner and other local customers that came in and out. Certainly made us feel very welcome. Also great coffee and tea and nice to get a biscuit with it too. So many places don't provide that little extra bit of hospitality. We'll be returning to try the cake next time 😁

When we first walked into the cabin, it felt so homely. It was so bright and spotlessly clean. We were welcomed by very friendly staff. Our service was great & the food was delicious. We would highly recommend it there.

Highly recommend Afternoon Tea at The Coffee Cabin. Very friendly and homely atmosphere. Table set up was lovely, especially cups and saucers. Gluten free sandwiches, scones and coffee cake were very delicious.

A group of us had breakfast here and we were all very happy with the atmosphere, service and portions in the Coffe Cabin. It is clean, comfortable and relaxed and we won't hesitate to recommend to friends and family and will definitely be returning.

Just reopened under new management. Staff are welcoming and friendly. So lovely to have our village cafe open. We have visited twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Service and food were excellent on both occasions.

Slow, grumpy, panini was totally over cooked and the only other table in the place got served so slowly that 2 of them had nearly finished before the others got their food!

Had a pleasant experience while dining with work mates for the "Friday Fry-up". Very nice Vegetarian breakfast, not the cheapest but certainly tasty and freshly made. I would definitely recommend the Coffee Cabin for drinks, food and a generally nice ambiance but a wait will be needed if busy.

Lovely cafe very friendly service I'm glutten free lady that served me checked what I could have gf toast poached eggs bacon gf cake even bought the margarine to me to check I could have it nothing was to much trouble almond milk for drinks...

You can get a great breakfast here with local produce. Everything is cooked to order with friendly service. It can be busy at times but that reflects the Cabin's popularity!

But really, still cash only business in 2019? Do you really expect to pay your taxes? Because accepting cards is not expensive anymore...

This is a very quaint place to eat and drink! The young girl that served us was very polite, very helpful and gave the impression that no request was too big. Would really recommend this place to anybody.

Great atmosphere only a small place - around 26 place settings. Service can seem slow for food orders but everything is cooked to order. Friendly and helpful staff.

Quite expensive, they don't take card there's also nowhere to park. Also they take forever to serve you.

If you want a tea/coffee shop with with splendid cakes and snacks and a touch of old English charm, you should visit.

We visit The Coffee Cabin most weekends when we can, for either breakfast or lunch. Both menus are packed full of choice, food is delicious, all cooked fresh and sourced locally. Coffee is lovely & there’s an extensive tea collection to choose from. Tastefully decorated with a really lovely atmosphere. Service is always excellent & staff welcoming and friendly! Have visited before with family & it’s never any trouble for staff to move tables around to accommodate us all.

Delightful place , dog friendly , amazing panini came with salad & crisps , delicious home made cake & lovely coffee . Free Parking outside Lyminge Library . Open Saturday & Sunday from 8.30 to 3pm . Will be going back again , very friendly & helpful .

Love this place the coffee is amazing and the food is great. The place is decorated very tastefully and even got a seating area with small coffee table so you don’t have to be sat at the table just to have a coffee, the cakes on display all look really good( couldn’t try them all) will definitely return

We have visited several times for tea/coffee and cake and decided this time to go for breakfast. One of the best breakfasts either of us has ever eaten. Everything is locally sourced and simply delicious. The quality is really out of the world and it is prepared beautifully. The decor is lovely, the service great and all the food/drinks carefully chosen and fantastic.

Lovely local spot to drop in for breakfast or lunch. Not cheap but definitely cheerful. Definitely worth a look if you're driving through Lyminge.

My family had a lovely breakfast here with each of us having a different choice and they could not have been more accommodating. Highly recommended and we will be back again before our holiday is over.

Fuimos allí dos veces durante nuestra estancia en Lyminge. Primero para una comida ligera, donde disfrutamos de muy agradable paninis y un pedazo agradable de jengibre. Volvimos para el desayuno, tuvimos que esperar un poco para la comida. Pedimos un desayuno inglés completo y una barrita de granola, pero nos dijeron que ya no sirve (aunque todavía en la lista), que fue una decepción. De todas formas, el desayuno fue agradable y el té tostadas y el pastel estaban bien. Nos sentamos en una de las dos mesas afuera en la acera, genial para disfrutar del sol, pero es una pena que la calle está bastante concurrida. Como para el personal, disfrutamos de la cálida bienvenida.

Celebramos una reunión familiar aquí. Le pedimos al propietario para ofrecer una selección de sandwiches y bollos salados para compartir, lo que ella hizo en abundancia! Un lugar precioso para sentarse tranquilamente y relajarse, con una comida y café - lo recomiendo
