The Tea Room in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

So pleased to have visited this tea room with my family after looking at previous google reviews. Fantastic food in a lovely friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend 😊

My girlfriend and I visited here for lunch, we both had a cream tea. Which was very good, the scones were light and tasty. Their was plenty of jam and cream. What more could you want!

Live locally but have never got round to visiting this little place. Finally went today and was so glad we did. Had toasted sandwiches tea and coffee. All lovely and the sandwiches very filling. Lovely friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. Will definitely be going back

Stopped in on a rainy morning for a hot drink. What a lovely cafe. Tea was served in china cups with a saucer and proper tea pot, so lovely and quaint, not one piece matched but who cares. Oh, the tea was good and strong also. We only had a shortbread biscuit, but watched several fantastic full English breakfasts being served up and they looked so tasty and perfect. I would certainly visit again as feel this is one of the better cafes in Perranporth for a traditional breakfast. I loved the sign explaining the choices of coffee on offer, and tea is not coffee ha ha.

A warm welcome to a lovely “dog friendly” cafe. We had a pot of tea / lattes and cooked breakfast. The produce was good quality, tasty and piping hot, even though it was very busy the service was spot on as well. We will be back.

The Gentleman / Owner was very pleasant however the cream tea that only comes with x1 ‘very soft’ scone and doesn’t include tea or coffee which you have to pay separately for was extremely poor value compared to Cream Teas which are more available in Newquay. Quite strange really given there was enough clotted cream & Jam for x3 scones ! Pleasant staff though.

5 star for everything. Visit 23/08. Went with a group of 10 people including 5 children. Very helpful, the scones was fresh out of the oven and tasted delicious. The Latte and tea was excellent. The staff was very friendly.

The man serving behind the till was so welcoming! We had breakfast baps to takeaway and they were lovely and hot! Would definitely be returning when we next visit Perranporth!

What a lovely experience! We visited today whilst on holiday in the area. Our food was lovely (gluten free options available too) and reasonably priced, the service was fantastic and our dog was welcomed too! The kind gentlemen offered advice on places to see and walk in the local area which was gratefully received. Would certainly recommend! What a great find.

I visited here today with my husband, four year old daughter and 9 week old baby. What a lovely little find! The gentleman who served us was lovely, very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and great value for money. Nothing was too much trouble and it was an added bonus to see these little cards by our table, as a breastfeeding mum it is sometimes daunting to find somewhere that feels comfortable and this was just a lovely surprise to see. Thank you! X

Food is not good Tea was okay but nothing special. Why it calls itself a yea room is beyond me. It certainly doesn’t resemble anything like one! I would not recommend this place. If anything I would avoid it. There are way better places to spend your money.

Lovely friendly and clean cafe in a good location. We had a cream tea and the scones were warm and fresh. Owner was friendly and efficient.

We popped in for cream tea and wasn’t disappointed! The tea room is lovely inside and the food was great. The cream tea was one of the best I’ve had and the staff were so pleasant, which added to the experience. Highly recommend for cream tea! We also had our dogs with us, which were very welcomed.

Finally managed to visit during our latest holiday to Perranporth and found it worth the wait! Tasty sandwiches and even better cream tea with delicious home-made scones - a proper Cornish experience! Friendly welcome from the owner, enjoyed a lovely chat but still had fast service. Highly impressed with the quality of food, speed of service and friendly atmosphere.

Cannot recommend this tea room highly enough. Very friendly service, very clean, the freshest sandwiches (presented beautifully with crisps and coleslaw) and amazing cakes.

Nice little cafe .We had some takeaway sandwiches which were pretty good. One small point, the owner, although well meaning was somewhat over familiar and mentioned my complexion a couple of times. I didn’t want to get into a conversation with him, but I am suffering from early Leukemia and the tablets I am currently on have a side effect that affects my skin. It was quite upsetting . Perhaps he could just be a little more tactful in future .

We visited twice during our stay in Perrnaporth. Great food, reasonably priced and ran by a very friendly and welcoming couple. I would highly recommend!

Little gem of a cafe with delicious food. Home made, gorgeous cream scones. Owners very friendly. Couldnt do enough to make us welcome. Made our dog very welcome too. Even gave us advice on local places to visit and where to find good cafes. Great experience. Would highly reccomend this cafe

Fancied coffee and cake and found this little gem. Owner was really welcoming. Proper cream tea was delicious. Kids happy with their hot chocolate and cakes. A great find on a cold and wet Feb half term! Would recommend.

This is a lovely little cafe, the owners are really friendly and make you feel very welcome. The drinks, toasties and cream teas were very tasty. We will definitely come back when we’re down here again.

Wonderful service, lovely food & will definitely be back again. Staff are so welcoming and attentive. Varied menu and food was fresh and hot. Perfect for children too. Our little girl was given peppa pig cutlery which she loved and a plastic cup to drink her apple juice out of. Freshly cleaned highchair. Thank you so much!

Such a lovely little cafe ran by such friendly people! (Husband and wife I believe.) Me and my partner and toddler came in today as we were down on the perransands caravan site and thought we’d go for a little wander around the town, we found this lovely little cafe and when we arrived, we were greeted by the wife and husband and they were ever so helpful and friendly! Cake/cookies and coffee was great and nothing was too much fuss for them, they ensured we were happy with everything and made sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend this little gem x

Very welcoming clean cafe. Tables wiped down after every customer. The special was a crab sandwich which was very tasty and full of crab. Too big for me so hubby helped after eating his own scone jam and cream. ( jam first ). Very fresh scone and generous portion of both jam and cream. Two hot drinks and several treats for the dog. ( very dog friendly ). Lovely welcoming staff. Highly recommended.

Undoubtedly the best tea shop/cafe in this seaside town. Having walked around the town looking for somewhere for lunch we happened across this place. Friendly staff, clean and food at a sensible price. We had ham sandwiches which were served with a salad garnish, crisps and slaw plus a pot of tea. The cafe was busy but we didn’t have to wait long for our order. Would definitely return if we were in the area. In comparison to other cafes closer to the beach this place was a clear winner.

Generously filled sandwiches in a clean and attractive cafe near the beach and shops. Reasonably priced and plenty of choice on the menu. Highly recommended.

Amazing food amazing value and lovely friendly staff! Had our dog with us and they could not have been more welcoming with a sausage cooked especially for her. The scones were perfect warm and fresh there was no skimping on portions. The owner was very friendly felt very at home and comfortable.

Really delightful! My partner and I, along with my 5 month old, stopped in to grab a cup of tea and a snack after we visited the beach with friends. We were greeted with such friendliness and kindness, we were immediately impressed. My little girl needed a nappy change, and I was shown to the bathroom and reassured it would be fine to change her there. I did hear the staff member make sure we weren’t disturbed by any other customers while I changed her. He was just so friendly. He made lovely conversation with us as I felt comfortable to breastfeed my baby without judgement. The food was delicious, I just really loved the atmosphere and we will 10000% be returning because of the staff members general demeanour. So lovely!

We visit Perranporth often to walk the dog, camp for a couple nights at the end of the week etc. Decided to pop in here as we were at that end of the high street. So glad we did, we were given such a warm welcome by the owner and attention to detail and customer service was fantastic. Full breakfast was 5.95 and great quality. Good bacon, hot and freshly prepared. The cafe is spotless and airy, but again the way we and the dog were treated was so lovely. We will be popping in again to try a sandwich and cake. Thank you for getting our morning off to a fab start .

I would highly recommend the Tea Room, we had a beautiful breakfast and beverages and were made very very welcome with our dog. It feels as if The Team Room is a hidden gem in Perranporth as it is situated slightly off the high street , which on a busy bank holiday was a welcome relief for us. I also noted though it was very popular with locals, which speaks volumes. The cakes on the counter looked to die for.

This is a lovely little place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee or somewhere for a little snack. The staff were welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food, coffee and hot chocolate were so tasty. Dogs were allowed too and he got a little treat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Perranporth.

Lovely little tea rooms , wonderful atmosphere and super friendly and helpful staff . Lots of table space and the coffee and scone were to die for . A little gem . Thank you 🙏 x
