The best place to feel at home, the people that run this establishment will make sure you are taken care of, you won't find a more amazing place in Sheffield so it is a must visit when you come ☺️

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to visit The Taphouse Bar as we were in this part of town and what a great find. I love the look of this bar,its a modern place, light and airy, great decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout, its a cool bar to unwind in. We were here on a Thursday evening, bar was busy with a great atmosphere, we ordered a pale ale each from the bar ,these were served in excellent condition, we managed to get a table were we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular bar. My pale ale was so good, light, hoppy but not overhopped, hints of citrus, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a slight bitter finish, a classic British pale ale, so tasty on a hot evening. These are my type of bars, superb staff, great beers and a wonderful location, what more could you ask for, we finished our pale ale's and moved on and for a first time visit to The Taphouse Bar we were totally impressed. The Taphouse Bar is easy to locate along Alma Street near Kelham Square. Most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Excellent pint of Pale Rider 5.2%. A snip at £3.50. Very moorish but then you fall over. Recommended

greeted on entry by the owner/manager and given excellent service and a choice of glass, i prefer a pot with handle which was filled with Pale Rider. excellent beer and service, very friendly atmosphere. The bar has been closed during lockdown and deserves to thrive now restrictions have been lifted. There was a food menu and plenty of tables and seats in a modern setting. Toilets very clean also.

Called here a few times, generally a nice ambience and good service from the bar staff. Popped in last night, and was greeted at the bar with a woman with a cat on her shoulder.. kid you not! While I'm generally easy going, but is this a place you bring a cat on a leash? And then let her sit at a table indoors? Weird experience, but each to their own.

Great food and beverages but what stood out from the moment we arrived was the friendliness of the staff. Went out of their way to accommodate us and help us out. A great little area this, if you want to escape the city centre. Enjoy!

Visited for lunch in the summer and were so happy with boot filling portions, friendly waitress and lovely outdoor seating. An absolute hidden gem, we have recommended it to so many people since our visit. The prices, for the portion sizes are incredible also. Thank you for a lovely lunch experience.

This new bar is at the east entrance to the Kelham Island Quarter and I cannot walk past it without calling in. It is friendly and welcoming with good food at a very fair price.

My abode for my latest Sheffield visit, during this week, was again The Crow Inn, 33 Scotland Street S3 7BS, which reopened 5 years ago after quite a few years closure, and has 7 en suite bedrooms. Comfortable bed, clean and airy room. Sadly, no breakfast provided, but there are some very interesting bar snacks. Importantly, it also sells quite a few interesting ales and crafty keg beers! Open Mon-Wednesday 3pm to 12 midnight; Thurs-Saturday 12 noon to 1am; Sunday 12 noon to 11pm. Friendly and efficient staff.

I’ve ordered from here before, and received the same service which is off the scale. Whenever I order I also get a smiley face on my bags, which is something small but helps me picture someone packing the food doing it with a smile! I also had a sandwich made up rather than cancelling my order with this note, which was very appreciated that I had to post a review! Made mine and Katsu’s morning, I hope this member of staff/staffs get the recognition they deserve :)

Visited twice recently. Excellent, friendly service. Amazing breakfasts (eggs Benedict & smoked fish hash pictured). Ever changing specials board (pulled brisket beef burger pictured). Incredible range of delicious cakes and lovely coffee. I really can’t recommend this place enough.

Lovely food, not greasy at all like some fish shops can be! Proper hand cut chips and made to order fish, very enjoyable. The two staff were very friendly, even gave us a free homemade fishcake (which was 10/10!) and extra chips! Will definitely be back!
