A huge Thank you to the staff in the Tap House, they helped me celebrate my dad’s 70th and couldn’t be more helpful they even joined in with the celebration, They let us do our own thing and gave us access to kitchen, lovely atmosphere, brilliant Beer Thank you so much 🍷🙌🏻🍻

Good selection of ales - good pub

I visited this pub for the first time today. Just to have a Pint before getting the bus back to Derby. It was a great pub not many people mainly due to it being lunchtime and football at home in Chesterfield. Nice staff member told me about the new Oakham Ales on tap a very nice Pint of Ale. Great Pub Great Beer

Lovely pub with a friendly atmosphere

AWFUL My wife has had a very traumatic year and the first time she has been able to take herself out with friends and she gets treated with the following. To be told by the bar lady that her dress was a clash of colours and that she didn't like it but give her an hour and she might like it I find truly disgusting. No one should be made to feel like this at any point on there night out. An individual should be allowed to wear and express themselves how they wish and for the bar lady to go out of her way to make someone feel so anxious and insecure is horrible. No one has the right to make an individual feel this way. To top it off they were out celebrating a friends 40th and to be told in a BAR that they didn't want to encourage the buying of shots just does not make sense. They are not rowdy individuals and we're just looking to have a nice time. They don't like you purchasing shots as they do not encourage there behaviour. That's 10 ladies who's money has been lost and word of mouth goes a long way.

We have been in the area for a short break and enjoy tasting local beers. This was one of our stops. You can try 3 x one third pints, and managed to sample a fair few. We also opted for the pork pie and pickles. We were expecting a small pie - it was a huge size for a snack, so a real bargain. A typical old, local, pub. Lovely old tiles in the ladies' loo. Clean and tidy. Quiet when we visited - Sunday afternoon. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I have reviewed this lovely Pub previously , but I had not had the opportunity to visit it since it re-opened after the Lockdowns. Thankfully , very little has changed. Prompt and friendly Service , a very good range of Beers and a pleasant ambiance. A Proper Pub ! Looking forward to my next visit.

Good choice of real ales, friendly, Mondays are £2.50 a pint , Tuesdays have a selection of beers for £2.00, opens at 4pm during the week, recommended.

Went there last nite for the first time since the 80,s very welcoming great atmosphere if only they sold Guinness ha ha but if real ales is your thing what ya waiting for will deffo be going there again

Great pub with extensive real ale selection. Chesterfield is a great destination for good pubs and it is well worth walking down from the town center to visit this pub and several other good bars close by.

It's a pub. What more do u expect? No pool table.

Think this pub has changed hands recently. A big improvement. Clean. Enjoyable and friendly atmosphere. However, lack of Guinness and only ipa type beers on the bar...sorry I like dark beer.

Basically a single room pub that is the brewery tap of the Barlow Brewery. Unfortunately their beers aren't very good so it's best to stick to the guest beers.

Very busy pub around one kilometre from Chesterfield town centre. Good selection of various brewery bitters. Staff attentive and friendly. Not the biggest pub inside so easily gets full. Well worth a visit.

I love this pub. Friendly welcome and good well kept beer. As an ale lover I despair of the over hopped pale ales on offer everywhere but there's always a good alternative here. At the moment it's a brilliant strong bitter- absolutely gorgeous

Called on a quiet Monday night for a drink with my wife. Great choice of 8 cask ales and good choice of ciders lagers and fruit beers. Bern in before at weekends and it is usually lively. Staff are good so well worth a visit.

Wonderful pub. The range and quality of beers is excellent. The staff are outstanding, they took time to remember what my friends and I had ordered and replenished our drinks without me having to name each drink. Friendly atmosphere and dog friendly. In fact even the dogs are friendly, the first one that came in, trotted over and out his head in my lap without any prompting!!!! One the most civilised and friendly pubs in Chesterfield.

Very nice inside with an interesting selection of ales and ciders. The staff were friendly and efficient. The decor is clean and fits the premises well. I would describe the decor as that fitting an old English pub. It is very similar to the decor of the Tramway a little further down the road. I would say that the Tap House is nicer inside than the Tramway, not to say the Tramway is bad, just the Tap is quite clean and tidy. I think its quieter than the tramway as it seems a little smaller and more cosy. This is definatley one of the more warm and friendly pubs on the Brampton mile. They have a nice fire in the fire place which really warms the place up. It's a very nice place to meet in an afternoon or early evening. I believe they may serve food but I don't know for sure.

Good pub, helpful staff always happy to provide tasters. Always a good selection of real ales and the house beer Betty's Blonde is great if nothing else suits.

This is my local - but it is not my nearest pub if that makes sense? There is always a selection of 8 good ales of varying strengths and shades and I think there's lager and cider too. There's a good friendly atmosphere and a log fire in a comfortable but spacious open-plan main bar - just what a pub should be.

Friendly real ale pub with around 6 hand pumps including beer from the local Barlow brewery. Limited snack menu at lunchtimes. Situated on Chatsworth Road in the Brampton area, ideal as part of a pub crawl featuring numerous nearby real ale outlets!

One of our favourite places go for an excellent tipple. Incredibly friendly staff with open fires and dog friendly. A great example of a traditional pub
