The Taj Mahal Restaurant in Slough

My family & I had the absolute best meal here! It was our very last night of our trip & they made it so special & delicious. Everyone was so kind & gave great recommendations. We loved the drinks & the food! Would love to come back when we visit again.

Do not waste your time. Incredibly rude. Customer service SUCKS. Better off eating a rat you brutally murdered running out of their kitchen. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Don't normally leave reviews but this was an exception. Dined Sunday evening, waiter was brilliant, food was the best I've had for ages and the price was reasonable, what more can you want. And proper linen table cloths and napkins

The chicken tasted average, however the garlic cheese naan was hard like a stone that I couldn't even eat it. Disappointed, I expected more after seeing the reviews but it was a let down!

Wow this place was incredible! We stopped in on our way to the airport and it was so good!! We got the chef special with chicken, pickle tray, Bombay aloo and pilau rice. It was incredible. Staff were really friendly and service was really quick. We could tell this would be a great place from the pickle tray and how fresh the poppoadums were. Thank you so much and definitely recommend going here!!!

restaurant was quick and have loads of sauces, I think as an extra touch. I did order a few but received way more. good service will use the Taj Mahal again

Enjoy the food they serve every time, some restaurants are hit and miss but glad to say these are consistent with their quality

Fantastic food hot and full of flavour

Excellent place in terms of ambience ,excellent staff and taste. Visited first time. It is in a secluded place and would recommend to use Google maps rather than car's satnav. Ample free parking . Authentic indian taste. Value for money. It was Thursday evening and quiet. We are vegetarians.Vegetarian options are less and still 10 options on mains . More options in non-veg - but can't comment. Definitely visit again.

Delicious food, large meals, and quick delivery. Couldn’t have asked for more

Flight was delayed and BA booked us into the Arora Park Hotel. Found this gem that was around the corner from the hotel. Wish we hadn't already had dinner because what other people were eating looked really good! Lots of items at reasonable prices on the menu. We just had the kulfi and it was delicious. The lady at the counter was also very sweet and courteous. Wish we had time for a real meal.

30 minutes early and the food was fab. One of the best we have had in a long time.

The Chicken Chat was ok, but cold. The Main was Truly awful. Lamb Tika Rezzala, consisted of just 3 tiny pieces of tough gristle in tomato soup, no body, no spices whatsoever. The 2 chapatis were each just 5” across, they were tacos, not chapatis. Totally disappointing as I’ve given 5 star reviews of this place before. I won’t order from here again. Terrible food. Worst £17 I’ve ever spent.

Really great food and amazing service! We were extremely happy to be able to visit here and experience the delicious food! It was great for the entire family, really wonderful jalfrezi! It made the whole delayed trip home a wonderful experience!! You must visit!! Shuel looked after us so well!

Always get food from here always been excellent but on this occasion was not of same quality very dissapointed

To be honest the food was not the best, the onion bhajis were swimming in grease, the mixed Raita was disgusting, the yoghurt tasted off and the curry definitely did not taste like a Madras. The best thing was the poppadoms, lovely and crispy.

We ordered passanda curry and the consistency was like soup with absolutely no flavour whatsoever. The cheese and garlic naan and rice was very nice. Such a shame. Super fast delivery though.

Whatever we were delivered was good, but it wasn’t what we ordered! 2 chicken dishes sent and one was supposed to be Lamb Rogan Josh.

The delivery man was rude & obnoxious vile man.. ..the food is absolutely not as good as before.. there was always rice included but none today! That will be my last order from The Taj.. what a shame!

The delivery driver couldn't find the house I've never had this problem, I've ordered from here so many times, I don't know if the ownership has changed but nowhere near as good as it ever was the masala sauce tasted like a thicker tomato soup, the rice had a horrible taste, I wouldn't order from here again even though I've been a customer for years.

Delicious and free delivery. What could be better.

The food was late but only because of heavy traffic, quite often it has arrived early. We often order from the Taj, the food seems a little different recently ( maybe they have a new chef?) but if anything is of even better quality. The only negative is that they have changed from foil containers to plastic ones which cannot be recycled and the bags they are delivered in are stronger plastic than previously. Otherwise would highly recommend them.

We have been using this restaurant for a number of years, looking forward to a takeaway tonight, cannot believe how terrible the food was, half my meal was made up of onions, chicken tough, know real taste, what a big disappointment, will be looking for a different restaurant. Spoke to restaurant about my views, he apologised and offered to replace, why would I want this when the first meal was so terrible

I came here because I was staying at the Hilton up the road. Why waste your money on food at the hotel! You can get here by walking 10-15 minutes or a short cab and it is authentic Indian cooking at a fraction of the price. Really enjoyed it. Service was exceptional.

Second time ordering from this restaurant. Both times have had a long wait. From ordering to delivery waited 1hour 30, food is good but was luke warm. I would suggest collection.

I have found my “go to place”, next time I simply need to hit “re-order” 👍 The starter was flavourful and a large portion. The main was really good, spicy hot as requested in the comments box. Perfect. Thank you 👍 The only thing I’d say is don’t bother with the bag of onion salad, when it’s traveled on top of the food it’s warm and steamed, not perfect for a salad, so either pack differently or simply ditch it. I’ll certainly be re-ordering from here again 👍

I ordered for spicy lamb chops and i got burnt lamb chops without any flavours other than colour.not even salt.I informed the restaurant about this and the guy who took the call asked me to call after 5minutes. And they never took my call . Very bad experience with the restaurant

The chicken Tikka Masala was lovely and very tasty. The rice was cooked to perfection.

Good and rice was watery and no heat to the curry, just disappointed.

I had a Prawn Bhuna… what I received wasn’t anything like. The prawns were in the exact same sauce as the vegetable curry and both were completely tasteless.

The quantity and taste is really not worth for the money really sorry.Not happy at all. Quantity is so less

I love the food I have never had any complaints, the Lamb Pasanda is delicious, lovely fresh food everytime.

Shami kebab should be with lentil and mixed with lamb and covered with egg this is just a burnt lamb pattie horrible waste of waiting time and cost

Was waiting 1 hour and 40 mins for my food when it arrived it was stone cold I rang the place 2 times only to be told its on its way and given attitude by the staff will never order here again

Side with Biryani was slightly stale and made my tummy run avoid.

Disappointed food ,I'm shocked to see pakory, I touching n pakora in pieces, how shocking your chef's nt able to make super easy dish ( pakora) , burnt fish , salad is only onions and chapati not fold in foil paper, thy sent chapati in delivery bag ,disgusting. Complete disappointment.

OMG had a fantastic meal of lamb dansak rice Nan and poppadoms delivered to my room quickly and hot . So pleased as the food was spot on and a real treat from the quarantine food . I am ordering again on Friday . Thank you taj . Five stars

Not what we are used to from the Taj Mahal. Poppadoms stale and no crisp, onion salad old dry an discoloured. However curries, rice and veg dishes upto normal standard. But the starter part ruined the meal. Been using them for years, the search for a replacement starts!!!!

The butter chicken was not smooth,, tasted like coconut.. burned garlic nan

Absolute rubbish... my granny made a better curry... Honestly do not waste your money....

Delivered on time but, butter chicken was just plain chicken with sauce on top, no flavour in the chicken at all, just bland. Paneer very very bland. Sag aloo very very bland. Not nice at all. Really disappointed.
