This is one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had. To be honest with you, I was full after the main course the food was lovely staff for brilliant what more can you want? I’ll be coming to visit you again

Amazing experience as always. Even though it was their beer festival nothing slacked on the bar service or food. Food was amazing and the gluten free roast was the best I’ve had from A pub!

I go here quite regularly. Only had Sunday lunch once but it is amazing. More vegetarian options for the rest of the time would be great though. A friendly pub apart from one female member of staff who is abrupt but often downright rude.. it's almost laughable she can be so bad; I worked in catering including pubs and cafes and I'm surprised she keeps her job!

Came here for Sunday lunch on the 7th July celebrating a friends birthday. The food was amazing! Roasts were perfect , meat tender but not over cooked and a Yorkshire pudding that didn’t overtake the rest of the plate. Would recommend to anyone who would like a quality Sunday lunch at a decent price. All food was fresh, hot and tasty and service spot on! Would recommend to anyone!

We had another amazing lunch here, the roast was delicious and nice and hot. I did have to change our numbers a few times but the staff were very understanding and it was no trouble. All the staff were friendly and helpful especially Matt who served us. There’s a great choice of roasts and then deserts are definitely worth a try.

One of the best Sunday roasts we have had . Presented beautifully and plentiful. Great staff and decor. Very reasonably priced too. Will definitely return. We had a slight misunderstanding over the size of our party but the staff were very understanding and sorted it out without fuss.

Great local village pub, hosts a great pub quiz every other Monday and serves beautiful food every day of the week! All staff are always super friendly and stop for a chat or to feed the dog a biscuit! We’ve eaten here as a couple countless times and never once had a complaint on food, every dish served has been great quality, generous portions and lovely presentation. Personal favourites of mine are the sirloin steak and the pasta bolognaise. My partner returns for the pork belly & mash time and time again! This is also our favourite place to come to for a Sunday dinner, defo book if possible, they do have some availability for walk-ins but typically they are booked up all day and that speaks for itself.

This eatery was recommended to us. After a 1/2 hour drive we arrived. On entering there were quite a few people already eating. We asked for a table and told to find one that wasn’t already set up which we did. A young man came over to take our order of drinks and gave us a menu. The menu was the usual pub grub, priced similar to other eateries. The food on arrival was ok, but nothing outstanding and certainly not worth the journey. The older lady who served us didn’t smile until we went to pay. We weren’t given a bill, just told the cost. Don’t think we will be returning, better places nearer to home.

We have eaten here several times this winter and have never been disappointed. The food has been consistently good freshly cooked and delicious. Staff are friendly and the service is good.

We visited for Sunday lunch for a neighbours catch-up, we have used the pub before but not for Sunday lunch. The service and food were excellent, there was a good choice of roasts and I had the vegetarian option which was a cranberry and nut roast. Nut roasts can be dry at times but this was definitely not dry, it was full of flavour and very tasty. I had roast potatoes with rosemary as the ones with the meat roasts are cooked in duck fat and a vegetarian gravy was available too. There was a good choice of deserts on offer so all in all a really nice reasonably priced Sunday lunch. We will definitely be back, it was fab.

Excellent food is to be had at this restaurant. My husband had scampi and I had the beer battered cod one served with chips and salad and the others chips and minted pea purée. Both came with delicious homemade tartare sauce and lemon Both were cooked from scratch and worthy of a high end establishment. We also indulged ourselves with dessert…one coconut rice pudding with a fruit compote and the other sticky toffee pudding with gelato and strawberries. Yummy! Service was good and there was a pleasant atmosphere in this pub within quite a few diners. We would unhesitatingly recommend this restaurant and shall return

We visited on Friday night at late notice, received a quick response saying they held a table for us. Extremely friendly staff, a really great range of real ales. The food was brilliant, it's so nice to have a pub where the food is genuinely home cooked and prepared on spec. Matt the Landlord is a star with his knowledge of real ales. Thanks for your time last night, and the gifts for my brother. We will defo be back to see you.

First time here after travelling past on weekdays for 4 years. Big regret of not popping in before. I was pleased to note that it wasn’t as busy as I expected (2.30pm) we went for Sunday lunch. 1 Chicken, 1 Beef, 1 Pork. All thought it to be excellent. We also had desert, again execelent. The service was perfect. When you looked up to get the eye of the barman or waitress they were there. So good we booked Mother’s Day. Well done to all the staff, kitchen and front of house. I have passed this pub so many times and had never been in.My Uncle suggested it for a family meal after Christmas and it did not disappoint.8 adults and 4 children. We had a back room of the pub which was nicely decorated. The chilli prawn starter was amazing and I had the lambs liver with black pudding and spring onion mash. All the family said how good the food was despite the pub being very busy. Staff made sure we had everything we needed.

Distinctly average, needs some personality. No smiles , no heating . But busy . So they must get something right but I missed it.

Went for a Sunday lunch Sunday 18/11/2018 (birthday treat) and what a treat, the service was prompt ,friendly and efficient. The food was amazing beautifully presented, the beef was tender and very tasty ,the vegetables were cooked to perfection. I’m so glad we choose to come to The Swan I would recommend a visit especially for Sunday lunch .

I've eaten at The Swan more than any other place in the area. It is always excellent. I had the venison last night and it was an amazing meal.

My favourite pub in the area. Has a great atmosphere and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is always good with great choices the chefs really know there stuff. Have an excellent beer festival in the summer. Stock a good range of wines, beers and gins. Children and dog friendly.

One of our favourite pubs in this area. Food always very good, staff friendly and welcoming. We had had a year long break due to unforseen circumstances but on our return we were welcomed like old friends. The restaurant area has been redecorated and looks inviting. The Christmas decorations definitely are worth a visit too!

Been here quite a few times now. Always a great atmosphere, plenty of different drinks on offer and the open Mic night on the 1st Sunday of each month is an absolute corker as well - a real must see if you can get down there. Great outdoor area as well but don't worry - it's very well heated.

Have been calling in for some twenty years on and off. It is great and manages to maintain the 'feel' of a pub while producing super wholesome food and several good beers. Long may it thrive.

We were a family booking for 11 people. The pub was busy but friendly and were happy to hand out paper and pen to get our large order down on paper. It was a casual dining experience and we waited just a little longer than expected BUT it was well worth the wait. The food was amazing!

Popped in on the off chance whilst out on Monday evening. The Swan was busy, but still great service. The food was amazing, the Bruschetta was the best I have ever tasted and the portions were very generous. We will definitely be back. THANK YOU

Lovely friendly village pub we always visit and.eat there when up.from Cornwall -good beer good food reasonable prices and friendly staff and locals -what's not to like?

Staying with friends in nearby Eaton Bray the Swan had been recommended for Dinner.We were warmly greeted by lovely staff and promptly seated. The Food is delicious I had Pork Fillet with Mustard Mash which was the best I've ever had. Fish & Chips also good. Wine & Service was excellent and we had a most enjoyable evening looked after by a Great Host and his Friendly Staff. Will definitely revisit to sample some more of their great food and hospitality.
