Ordered through just eat and left comment in the notes for nut allergy. Ordered a dish that doesn’t mention nuts in the ingredients and expected that should do the trick to safely navigate dinner. I know people moan about allergy suffers like we’re an inconvenience but guess what?! It wasn’t by choice and it’s a lot more annoying to have one than to not. Anyway, that being said, my allergy isn’t severe enough to kill me (at least it hasn’t done thus far), but it will ruin a meal and/or evening. So the meal arrived, poke bowl (build your own, no nuts requested for obvious reasons), I had Teriyaki sauce, my wife had the same, less the sauce. Within a few mouthfuls I could tell there were nuts as my throat gets irritated. I thought it was maybe in the sauce and swapped with the Mrs but the irritation was getting worse (possibly was just the sauce but seemed to get worse). Might sound silly that I kept eating but as I say it’s not the worlds worst allergy and it was damn tasty tbf. Alas the irritation is not worth another bite so the game was up. Anyway, my wife called the restaurant, whilst I was attempting to rid myself of the allergens in the bathroom. The chap who picked up the phone seemed to be familiar with the order and rather bluntly said ‘no nuts in any of it’. Now I don’t have a 24/7 lab available to challenge him, all I had was an allergic reaction and as the only food I’d eaten was from this restaurant, I’d say they realised their mistake and the denial was an outright lie. Alternatively, their kitchen follow dangerously bad practises with regards to allergies and there has been cross-contamination, which COULD lose somebody their life in reality. Luckily for me, it was nothing more than an unpleasant end to an evening. Long and short of it, if you have an allergy, go elsewhere.

We have been staying in the Z Hotel 5mins walk from this place and just fancied some sushi to take back to our room for dinner. The lovely guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful. More importantly the food was absolutely delicious! Recommended.

Delicious, fresh, fairly priced sushi hidden away nicely right in the middle of Dalston. Doesn't look like much from the outside, then you enter and its lovely! Solid size portions. Had a great sake here too.
