Second time here, very disappointed this time. The lunch menu is bit pricy and what disappoints the most is they use pickle bamboo shoot rather than fresh ones in their ramen… the manager was not very friendly and they put service charge on every single bill even not much service was involved.

The moment we got into the restaurant we were greeted by the staff and they were really polite. They were really helpful with our luggage and offered us a seat so that we don’t have to worry about it. The food wasn’t too pricy and comes in standard set. The don was very beautiful and tasty. I liked the quiet and peaceful environment for an early dinner. Overall very satisfied and will definitely go again.

Great Tonkotsu ramen as usual. Prices and atmosphere are good. Service this time was average. The person who served us seemed inpatient and forgot to ask what my partner wanted to order, it was only two of us. Other than that, it’s a great place to eat some decent Japanese cuisine.

First in on a Thursday. 11:30 for quick lunch with mate. Ordered a selection of nigiri and fried and sides. The squid nigiri was not fresh. Was deep opaque white with no firmness to it. The membrane was still attached to it so was very chewy. Salmon roe and fried oysters was not fresh. Only good thing was takoyaki. Missing the octopus inside. So it was a really bad experience. Only good thing was the green matcha tea to wash it all down with. Go to the Covent Garden branch one instead this place has issues. Maybe the ramen is good.

I love the vibe here, with the big TV screen playing J pop music from YouTube, cute store size. Service is alright, not need to pre-book. We had normal tonkotsu and spicy tonkotsu, you can choose the thickness of broth, noodle texture and spicy level. We both went for thick broth and firm noodles, I think the firm noodles were just right for me, normal texture would’ve been too soft, the rich broth is good but can get sickly if you start drinking it, and makes you very thirsty. Don’t recommend getting the ice cream mochi dessert, they are literally just little moons sliced in halves.

The restaurant is somewhat small however all the workers are very nice and welcoming and the service is really quick it took about just under 10 minutes for the food to arrive and when you leave they bow to you which I found very respectful and the place is really clean and tidy One thing I dont however is they add on like £2-3 extra for service charge so instead of paying like £12 i ended up paying £14 which was a bit iffy but it lowkey was worth the extra because I was impressed with their quality and quantity The portions are very fulfilling and quite large as I ordered a ramen bowl and it tasted really good The staff also gave you extra toppings before your meal came (these are free of charge) so there was garlic this sweet n sour ginger flavoured thing and some mixed veg which you could add in your soup (if you prefer) but their have a wide range of foods to choose from form their menu

The most reliable, authentic and affordable Japanese food chain in London! This one specialises in ramen and they do it really great, the tonkotsu flavour is the standard so there are meal sets which include sides like gyozas. The gyozas are just the frozen ones you can buy at any oriental store (I know cos it tastes the exact same as the packs I buy and fry at home) so I would skip them for something better like tempura which is always very crispy and fragrant. Matcha beer was also very interesting, there’s a slight hint of matcha flavour and I enjoyed it a lot. Will definitely be returning to try the shoryu soup base ramen.

All of it was delicious. It’s not massively expensive. Great for dates or small groups. It’s a compact place which packs a punch. It’s not as flashy as some places but the food is pretty and it’s above all else tasty. Service is good and as it’s small it’s easy to get people’s attention. Eat Tokyo Tonkotsu ya in central London transported me straight to Japan! The staff were lovely and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. As a solo diner, I appreciated the privacy booths that made eating alone feel completely comfortable – a feature more restaurants should adopt. Came here to grab something to eat before seeing a West End show as I didn’t want to hunt down for a good place to eat at that was miles away. Plus I didn’t want to cut it too close to show time circling around the streets. Food was all right and I thought the prices were fair. Nigiri sushi was good, but ramen was mediocre. I would prefer to have the ajitama egg with the melted yolk inside rather than a fully cooked, boiled egg. Other than that, if you want to grab something while you’re shopping in the area, then you’re in the right place.

The food was delicious, as per usual (although not as good as some other branches I've been to). The staff here are... strange. They kind of seem like deer in headlights. As a regular visitor to Eat Tokyo in Covent Garden, I was excited to try out their branch in Bond Street . Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. The yakisoba noodles lacked the promised seafood and were unimpressive in taste. The chicken karage was disappointingly overcooked and difficult to bite into. To top it off, the Katsu curry arrived with cold rice and a flavorless sauce. While the portions were generous and visually appealing, the quality of the food didn't match up. It's such a shame because I've always enjoyed my meals at Eat Tokyo in Covent Garden. Regrettably, I won't be returning to this branch and will stick with my usual haunt in Covent Garden.

5* dining experience met with 2* customer service interactions. Not much needs to be expressed about the food aside from the fact it’s tasty and super delicious. However, the experience eating in the establishment was tainted by the weird and blunt interactions with staff. One staff member persistently sang out loud to the restaurant music while cleaning tables, one female staff was clearing tables and forced us to put our multiple orders on the one tiny table when it did not fit and the restaurant was empty so I could not understand why she imposed this. The waiter who took our order struggled to understand our requests and we had to repeat the order back 10 times before it was processed. In general the service was really slow amongst all staff and if it weren’t for the food being sensational I would not have a problem never going back.

Updating my previous review. I have been in this shop many times. Unfortunately things have changed a lot. Starting from the entrance where we're no greeted neither helped to be seated even though the staff was infront of us. The food prices went up which ofcourse is normal because of the inflation but the quality went down drastically. The broth of the ramen is not the same anymore and it feels like it's thickened up with loads of corn flour. Staff - Horrible The previous staff was amazing, great, friendly and knew their customers. Now its some young kids with attitude chewing on gum when they speak to you and turn their head when you are making your order because they are bored and don't want to be there. We asked to take the service charge out and the guy made a scene infront of everyone and at the end put the service charge and made us pay it because he didn't care if we didn't want to pay it if we didn't come with a reason. It was one of my favorite restaurants in london but I'm afraid I won't be recommending it anymore... Furthermore, clean your walls and shop, they are full of stains on soup from days ago... Happy to give more information to OPs if needed. Day and time of visit 09.03 time 15.00 I'm really disappointed that this shop took the downhill

I had the (grilled) black cod bento 🍱 with eel & avocado rolls 🍣, and complementary miso soup. The bento has tofu, salad, 2 salmon rolls, rice, and the grilled cod + dipping sauce. It's really delicious. Though the rice portion is a bit much for me. The eel & avocado rolls are really good too! Dip them in soy-wasabi and feel the spicy kick! When you see the menu it can be a bit overwhelming. It has a LOT of dishes. However, when in doubt, can't go wrong with a classic bento, or some sushi. It's certainly not cheap 💸. But not crazy expensive either. You'll come out full spending £20-£30. The shop is like a long rectangle. Not too wide, but long. There are window "booth" seats for solo diners, each of which is quite spacious. It's a cozy vibe. eatTokyo has a few establishments and this one is very close to Bond Street station, so it's very convenient. I had the unfortunate experience of dining at this sushi restaurant, and it was nothing short of a disaster. First and foremost, the ambiance was dismal. the decor looked like it hadn't been updated since the 1980s. It felt more like a run-down dive bar than a respectable sushi restaurant. Now, let's talk about the sushi itself. It was a disgrace to the art of sushi-making. The rice was clumpy, and the rolls were sloppily put together. I've had better sushi from a supermarket's pre-packaged section. To make matters worse, the prices were exorbitant for the subpar quality of food and service. I left feeling utterly ripped off and unsatisfied. I could have had a much better sushi experience at a fast-food chain, and it would have cost me a fraction of what I paid here.

I have been here 2 times (thinking the first time it was a one off as I have been to other Eat Tokyo and usually they are ok) and both times the service was horrible with the manager ushering us to order and quickly clearing all our plates and handing us the bill even before we really finished our food and drinks as "we weren't having dessert". The manager were also extremely rude to us the 2nd time when we left so I will never come back to this place ever again. I complained to the head office about the manager however this fell on deaf ears, no response what so ever so don't bother as they don't care at all about treating customers fairly or well. 8 years ago, Eat Tokyo used to be one of my favourite places for cheap eats and great quality food but I have felt the food quality has gone downhill since that time even at other branches such as Soho and Golders Green. It feels like its a franchise with the differences in food and service across the branches. The seating is very tight. Food was average at best, taste like any other japanese restaurant, the food next door at Chisou (although more expensive) is a lot tastier and more authentic. However having said that, the food at this restaurant wasn't the cheap either and we end up spending a decent amount of money for a below average meal and experience. Do not come here!

We are looking forward to coming back and try more from the menu.

Service was extremely slow. Dirty dishes were not removed from the table in a timely manner, even though the waiter was walking around. The waiter who took the order messed up with the amount of salads ordered and the type of the salad. The bowl with rice and salmon was chipped. Overall food was ok but I would not recommend this place.

Utilizan materiales desechables / cuencos / utensilios, etc. El ramen no era ramen real sino udon. La mayoría de los alimentos no se hacen frescos, pero cobran precios muy caros. Estaba esperando una buena comida japonesa. Muy decepcionado.
