Went for an ice cream after school and was surprised how lovely and reasonably priced it was. They had other little things they were swelling which we couldn’t resist. Warm Fudge Cake and Ice real is a must 👌 It’s our first time here but will definitely be returning 🥰

The food & drink offerings are lovely. Good prices. Plenty of space. My only slight criticism is that there are a lot of hard surfaces, so it very quickly gets very noisy.

I came here to gomersal to visit my in laws, we decided to go to the surf shack for dessert. Wow what an experience. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. There is not a single thing I can comment on that needed improving. What a hidden gem I will definitely be returning when I go back up to Yorkshire after this lockdown. Thank you for a wonderful experience

Visited with family today for afternoon tea (1 was gluten free) presentation was very good, the food was tasty and all seemed to be well organised. It was a bit lacking in atmosphere, was expecting a bit of a surf theme. Lots of space inside to social distance and tables well spaced out. Would go back again.

Booked ahead for Afternoon Tea for three to celebrate my daughters birthday. The usual price is £20 for two people but they were happy to make a 'half' portion. The price includes drinks, we chose tea, cappuccino and a latte and then we also ordered two additional cokes and another pot of tea. Lovely selection of freshly made sandwiches, savories, fresh fruit and sweet treats. The best bit is that you than get to chose a scoop of ice cream of which there are many flavors and all three of ours were delicious. Lovely, airy place with lots of room so social distancing is easily observed, as well as hand sanitiser at the entrance. Even better, they are registered for the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, so the bill came to just £17. Well worth a visit.

I love a coffee when in Cleckheaton and this is a new one to go to. Lovely latte, excellent customer service and all Covid precautions taken without disturbing the enjoyment. It has some lovely waffles and tray bakes, it’s not just an ice cream parlour. Will be going again soon.

Been here twice recently and its a nice place with a good variety of ice-cream. One slight criticism would be the waffles arent made fresh. But the pre-made ones they use are a good alternative.

Popped in on Sunday aft to get an ice cream. Great choice of flavours, and vegan ice cream! The ice cream was delicious and reasonably priced for how much we got. Even our young dog, Rupert, enjoyed a vanilla ice cream cone, courtesy of the owner. Will certainly be one of our regular stops.

Popped in for ‘story time’ this week with my toddler and baby. The book was The Gruffalo- there was a reading of the book, a colouring in set to do and a glass of milk - a bargain for £4 and we got to keep the book! A lovely little shop with a great choice of delicious ice cream. Great for young families as it is lovely and spacious, with a little play area at one side of the shop. We’ll definitely be back!

Went for lunch, my wife had the fish butty and I had the roast beef with onions and gravy. They were brilliant, a lot of fish and beef, and very tasty. Great ale on tap, what more could you want?

The setting of the Lantern Room restaurant at the Manor House is beautiful. We were given the table in the window, perfect for two people. When we were given the menu the staff explained that there were a couple of extras on it at the beginning as amuse bouches. There were three of them and also some wonderful sour dough bread. These were free. The three very different mouthfuls were exquisite, with the blood orange and trout being our favourite. The sable biscuit was so light. We ordered the crab starter and the mackerel and then both had the line caught sea bass for main course. Both starters were intricate and beautiful to look at with the taste being fantastic. The blend of gooseberry, apple and mackerel was amazing. The quality of the line caught sea bass was first class and the chef did not disappoint in the cooking of it. Absolute perfection. Our evening was made special by the wonderful food, atmosphere of the place and the attentiveness of the staff, so big thanks to all concerned.
