The best fish and chips in my opinion... Crispy golden batter lovely chips and the best curry ever. They never disappoint.

I visited st 01.00 pm today, the service was very efficient. Very clean a well managed shop, very friendly serving quality fish n chips,! 😋

Best chippy I’ve had for ages! The lady serving was lovely, the portions are really generous, the quality was amazing and the curry sauce was unreal 🤤🤤. Cheap as chips too! (Excuse the pun) 10/10.

Friendly staff and good food. Haven’t had a good fish and chips in a while but that was top quality. Not the biggest fish but very tasty. Curry sauce was better than most I’ve had too. Friendly welcoming staff and the lady spoke to everyone and clearly cared. Will be my go to from now on 👍🏼

I've been buying fish and chips here for years. I've moved around the country on occasion but my mum lives round the corner so I've managed to carry on stuffing my face occasionally. I'm moving to Scotland so my visits will be a lot less frequent but I'll be back, and if it's a quiet lunchtime it'll be nice to have a chat and catch up.

In response to your reply The curry sauce has 100% changed i have ordered curry sauce with nearly every meal and i can guarantee the last 3 times it has been binned due to its grainy watery taste and chinese style flavour which means it isnt a one off it used to taste like traditional english chip shop curry which it DEFINITELY is not anymore. Due to the change in your curry sauce to this poor quality grainy chinese one and rise in prices i have changed from a 1 star to 3 star but you are 100% not a 5star anymore and no longer the best in the area either. Used To Be Best chippy I have been too Bar None. Recently Prices Have Raised Slightly & Quality Has Gone Down For Example: The Curry Sauce Used To Be Thick Original & Traditional Curry Sauce But Now It Is Grainy Cheap Tasting Chinese Watery Liquid Now More Bin Material chips & fish were ok at best Such A Shame

Not good at all. V poor. This is not a fake review I came in yesterday dinner time. If you remember I asked to check my credit card b4 I was served. I did not like your fish and chips at all. The chips was hard in places and the fish was not good at all.

Pop in here from time to time as we live just down the road. Chips are always nice. My Wife likes the fish, and I usually get battered sausage. Batter is always golden, crunchy, and never overcooked. Staff are friendly and always have a chat while preparing your order. Proper local community fish shop.

I called in Saturday lunchtime for the first time as I was in the area. I am very choosey about fish and chips and only visit the very best places. I had fish, chips, peas and a great potato scallop. All of it was lovely. The couple running it are so lovely and welcoming. Excellent!

During my visit here at the Dalton Fisheries I have to admit the best fish and chips that I have personally ever had. The service is fast and the food is always warm and delicious. The staff and owners are extremely friendly so you can always manage to have a little chat. The car parking however is quite annoying as it is limited so sometimes having to park in awkward areas but apart from that it's a 5 star review from me. I would recommend this highly to my friends and family.

This is a traditional fish and Chip shop and the quality is second to none. These are the best fish and chips I have tasted in a very long time. The staff are very friendly and it is clear they are proud and care about what they do. I have at least a dozen fish and chip shops closer to where I live but it is worth the extra journey to buy quality fish and chips. Highly recommended. What lovely people and great fish shop.

We go Dalton fisheries most Saturdays. I don't eat fish, but, they are definitely fantastic chips. Nice and chunky, and full of taste. We'll done, and thanks👍🏻

Dalton Fisheries are my favourite, Beautiful fish & Chips, and very generous portions, they also do smaller portions. And a good selection of other food's you'd expect from a great traditional Chippy, Tea and Coffee too Run by a lovely couple, and very friendly service, I travel almost 10 miles round trip And it's well worth it , there's plenty of fish shops locally to me but none of them are as good as Dalton Fisheries.

Just moved to Dalton & 1st time we've tried Dalton Fisheries & definitely not the last. The fish and chips were amazing & my hubby says your fish cakes are the best he's ever had. We are both stuffed as portion sizes are huge & to top it of what we got was less than a tenner for 2 of us.......... I have got to say the fish and chips here are the best I've in years. The fish was really fresh and a lovely colour and the batter was so crisp and not at all greasy. The portions are enormous for what they cost. All in all, outstanding value for money.

Chips were good, fish could have been bigger, the scallops were too thick so the middle was still crunch and abit raw but I would visit again as this was the first time I had been got to give them a fair chance

Well and truly the best Fish and Chip store in the town, the quality of service was immaculate, those who worked at the tills and in the kitchen were very respectful and the food itself was delicious couldn’t be happier with my experience at this lovely Fish and Chip shop.

Not very friendly to those with hidden disabilities. I would avoid this place like the plague if youre in that category. Unless you enjoy being talked about behind your back when they think you can't hear. Remember, not all disabilities are visible, and confronting someone about this can have severe side effects that you might not see. Always thought they did nice chips, but now I'd rather my money go towards someplace with more compassion and understanding.
