Montana is the best bartender I’ve ever had to deal with. Delivered my orders to a tee, good vibes and just overall the best. I won’t come inside here unless she is serving - top top lengend, they better make you manager soon cah you’ve already made me spend £100+. Maggie was also a great help, very efficient with the orders

Stopped in for a late lunch after visiting the Tower of London...good choice! We had the classic burger with bacon. ham and cheese, with crispy fries...came with a nice roasted peppers sauce on the side...and I had the chicken pie with oyster mushrooms and truffle oil au jus, served with mashed and carrots...both were very good! Served steaming hot, flavorful and just the right size portions. You order at the bar, pick up your drinks there and they vying your food to the table. Great ambiance and very comfortable environment. Reasonably priced at 65£, including drinks and service.

Wandered in on Paddy's Day. Full of friendly people and friendly staff. Felt like a pub back home. Didn't try the food.

Quick lunch time drink with work colleague. Busy pub close to Cannon Street Station and not far from St Paul's cathedral.

Decent pub with good line up of beers - was busy but got served quickly with some lovely pints of Siren Lumina

Good food, pleasant atmosphere, not too loud, attentive service. Tasty chicken schnitzel with lots of garlic butter and garlic aioli.

On our way home after a London trip I found this place on our drive and spontaneously parked up around the corner. I thought I'd stop by for dinner and it didn't disappoint. A lovely woman behind the bar named Kateryna served us and our meal was really lovely quality for what we paid.

I found a nice patch of sunlight. Got my noise cancelling headphones and my work set. Had a 0% Peroni and a plant based burger with halloumi fries served by Kateryna who was really friendly and welcoming behind the bar. I really enjoyed the food.

Nice pub.... open Sunday's.... didn't eat there as I just popped in for a quick drink before heading home.

My husband and I sat down and ordered drinks. We were planning to have a couple and then order food. But the manager (( I presume) came over and put a blackboard saying reserved from 5pm. This was 4.30pm . I questioned him about this and he said that he had a party that had booked. Why was the reservation not out before we booked. He couldn't care less.. On leaving I approached him again and said that this was poor customer service but the only response was I have a booking. I know that he doesn't care as he has a large booking coming in. Very poor service . Did not offer an alternative table . Very disappointed

Decent place for a few drinks after work. Prices are usual for the area. It can get crowded. Indoor seating is limited and unless it's a good day you can't really be outside. But overall it's got a good vibe.

Great pub friendly customers and Katrina was really lovely to me as I was upset over Remembrance Weekend. She made me feel welcome.

Wide beer selection made for a good drinking pub. I can't rate the food as I didn't have any, but menu looked to offer classic pub fare.

A great little pub conveniently situated near Cannon Street Station with a good atmosphere and friendly bar staff, especially the wonderful Katrina.

Great place for after work drinks and they have great lunchtime sandwich and pint deals. Food quality of the sandwiches are great and the Guinness is superb. Special shout out to Katarina, great service.

Classic English Pub really nice staff and excellent food. Got very good recommendations from Catrina. If you plan to visit the St Pauls Cathedral it’s definitely worth a stop.

Absolute brilliant pub been drinking in here on and off for 26 years even when it was O'Neil's bar staff are nice and friendly especially the lady called Katrina, keep up the good work guys.

Very busy, food, drink and staff very good.

Wandering through London and we accidentally came to the city area at lunchtime - very busy with long queues everywhere. We’d given up hope of being able to eat so just popped in for a drink. Bar staff were excellent- asked if we wanted to eat and they created a table by splitting a table of 4 with only 2 on it. They do a lunchtime special (sandwich + chips + drink) with prices ranging for £8.50 to about £11. We had the pulled brisket beef for two with a pint and a glass of wine for about £23 which is very good value for the location. Food good.

The Sugar Loaf is part of the Nicholson's chain and is a decent pub just by Mansion House tube on Cannon Street. It has live sport and the bar staff are friendly. The food I had (their well known pies) was good. The prices are on the more expensive side but it is a city pub after all.

Really busy little pub, went in approx. 1.30pm on a Sunday and was fairly quite, although loafs of people sitting out front within half hour it was full. We just grabbed a drink but the food looked really good from what I could see.

Nice pub, very friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere with a bit of an international feel being mostly tourists. Food is usually pretty good from Nicolson, but it's traditional pub and affair with not too much flair. I think not highest standard today. Thanks anyway. The doombar cask bitter was fresh and just the thing.

An amazing long Island tea by Rhema. Tasted like the best Long Island tea I have ever had! Rhema was the best bartender I’ve ever had!

It's been a while since I dropped by but nice to pop in again. It was before lunchtime so not busy, still the staff were very welcoming and the lady who served me on previous visits was still there. My friends and I had our lovely, long overdue, catch up interrupted by one of the bar staff at this pub. They took it upon themselves to publicly and loudly shame my friend on a comment taken completely out of context of an already ongoing three hour conversation. Had they given us any second to respond to our friends comment ourselves, the issue would have resolved itself. But they did not. Instead, they believed it was their absolute right to invade a conversation they had nothing to do with nor knew anything about. It seems utterly, utterly ridiculous that people these days cannot safely have conversations about anything anymore at a pub without being personally, and wrongly attacked for what some people wrongly believe are beliefs that they hold. Upon reflection, should I made my displeasure known loudly and repeatedly? Probably not. Would I do it again in defence of my friend? Absolutely. I wanted them to hear as they swiftly took themselves off to the other side of the bar with all the cowardice only a backseat crusader can muster. I was incensed by the audacity of this person. If they believed there to be a problem, why not calmly come over and tell us, privately, that they took issue with us or things we said. We could, calmly, have explained the context of the situation and none would be upset. However, they did not and instead chose to publicly and aggressively humiliate my friend. What an utterly upsetting situation all around. My advice would be not to throw stones without knowing all the details…

I came here for a couple of drinks after linking up with some friends for the first time in years. They served us drinks. We were then having a private chat that had been following on from a private conversation about a police matter. The conversation got quite heated between us. At this point, one of the bar staff deemed it appropriate to make a comment about this private matter, despite having a very limited idea about the context of our discussion. The bar staff had no idea of the background of the conversation nor our ideas or beliefs. Needless to say, this kneejerk uninformed inflammatory comment was completely out of touch and upset us greatly. This was a private matter that didn't require the bar staff's extremely public input that only served to cause distress and make us leave early. Please don't chime in with your comments without being part of the conversation in full.

I went here in September with some friends. We were having an insightful, in-depth, respectful conversation between ourselves. Out of nowhere, a brunette bar lady started shouting at us from behind the bar having only heard a small part of our conversation. This made us feel extremely uncomfortable & we left the pub shortly after. The staff member had no place to speak to us in the way she did in such an aggressive manner. We will not be returning & will advise others to steer clear.

Recently renovated, including fitting some welcome new air conditioning. However the bar smelled badly of bleach, or some sort of toilet cleaner. Was best to drink outside.

Clean modern feel in classic pub style and super friendly staff. Middle of a Sunday it wasn’t busy which I prefer. This was not a “sports pub” with people on people shouting and drinking if that’s what you’re looking for. I wanted simple fish and chips, and it was exactly what I hoped for. Bonus - air conditioning!

Lovely old style pub, decent range of beers, good seating and some decent outside area looking at the Bloomberg building and all the lost souls trapped in there for eternity. Nice pint or two would recommend!

We stopped for a drink during the day, Louise was really friendly, we had a lovely chat! Good range of beers, the place is really nice, we didn’t get any food though, so I have nothing to add about that The toilets were spotless and they even had moisturiser, which I really appreciated

This pub is located on Canon Street and in the summer is widely used by people after work, most of which stand outside. They even have a worker who stops people from smoking outside unless they are in the designated smoking area. This is good as non-smokers certainly don't like smoke in their face, even if it is outside. The pub offers a wide range of beers and wine and the staff, of which there are many to cope with the numbers, are polite and courteous. At lunch time I have almost always been able to get a table. Well worth a visit.

Good pub to go if the weather is good as you can stand outside, just another Nicholson's pubs similar decor.

Lovely post work pint with couple of chapos. The service is remarkable. Looks very busy outside and sprawling over the courtyard but when you get inside you are pleasantly surprised by a calm and well staffed bar ready to serve you. Excellent stuff

Was an amazing pub, but the staff were very rude and not very accommodating. I wouldn’t recommend visiting the sugar loaf. There are multiple better pubs in the area.

Great pub with an excellent fish and chips! Brought a few friends from Canada here and it was a true classic British pub experience. The waiter even brought small shot glasses of the different British beer for my friends to try which was very kind. Highly recommend!

Nous n'avons pas aimé, la fameuse "pie" de la chaine n'etait plus disponible, la salade avec Humus, bah il n'y avait pas d'Humus...etc C'est dommage on s'etait reservé une soirée pour diner dans un vrai pub anglais, je pense que nous ne sommes pas tombé sur le bon.

Absolutely adore this pub - ambience, food and service are always incredible. Katerina did her usual amazing job of looking after us today - always helped when the chefs do such a great job in the kitchen. Fabulous. Thank you. x
