The place is nice the food looks nice but I was only there for an interview not to eat there.

Really decent smash burger that took all but 4 mins to be ready. Now that's REAL fast food, but top quality. The burgers were crispy, juicy, and full of flavour. The sauce and cheese was creamy too. One of the most solid smash burgers I've had. Shake was pretty good too, albeit I like mine a bit colder and more ice-cream based. Fairly good prices too. This will be my go-to quick eat at Liverpool Street now.

That was actually one of the worst vegan burgers. Super dry almost burnt , tasteless and the bread was so smashed it barely felt like bread.

Burger was extremely greasy and the chips were overfried, hard and inedible. Seems like this place is run by kids, all shouting and messing around behind the counter. More like a youth social club than a professionally run buisness. Get your act together Honest! Came on 7/3/2025

Phenomenal Burger! Went here for lunch, I really enjoyed the food and the fact it’s such a small menu, very precise and to the point, however it feels like the store layout is not great, pushing through to get to the machines to order and then doubling back on yourself is not great, I’ll be back though, those patties were cooked to perfection!

The vegan burgers aren't beyond meat and were disappointing. Felt a bit cheeky as they're the same price as the other Honest Restaurants but the patties tasted like stuffing.

McDonald's style food. Not even close to Honest burgers. Do not recommend. Tiny low quality patties. Large volumes of cheap sauces.

Amazing burgers and food the service made it all the better. The team was extremely attentive with special mention to Aamir working in the kitchen providing great banter and Soma at the till who helped process my order. Great late night food option

Came here again after a long time and the burger was even better! The spicy chicken was juicy, delicious and the spicy crisp batter had that nice salty crunch that you love to see in fried chicken. Definitely going again!

Honest has already drifted far from its Brixton roots as a high quality, ingredient-focused independent selection of burger joints to a mediocre chain, and this gimmick feels like the last nail in the coffin. They've rebranded as a "smashburger" (meaningless marketing trend) location probably to save money which means everything looks and tastes cheap and bland and service is non-existent. Bleecker do this style of burger 100x better.

Have used this Honest frequently when you in town. This was our first (and last) visit to this new version. No one greets you to take you to your seat; you have to order from a screen (had to try 2 before one worked): the menu is very limited with no monthly special burger or local burger (supporting local suppliers): drinks are even more limited again with no local beer. The only time any of the 3 staff spoke "to" me was to say our order number. I had opted to dine in , though the only difference from take out would seem to be our food was served on a try rather than a bag , but they still came wrapped in paper, with the rosemary fries in a cardboard take out carton (no longer do the fries automatically come with the burger. The chicken burger was dry; the tribute smash was disappointing and not what I'm used to from previous visits to Honest; the most disappointing was the fries ...at least 50% of them were what I'd call scraps. Drinks we both had sofas that you're given plastic cups to serve yourself from post mix machine. All in all, friendly welcome, no tasty food and no appreciation from the staff. It felt like any other burger chain but at 2/3 times the price. I hope that this "experiment" in changing Honest doesn't roll out to the others as we always enjoy the many we visit across London.

Been eager to try since it opened . Unfortunately they lost the order , fed all the people behind me so apologised and offered to re start it . No problem there had time to spare before jumping on the train. However they then found the food which had been sitting there all along , good 10 minutes and obviously by the time I walked to the train and tried to eat it was completely cold . Quite a greasy burger and very salty loaded fries. Milkshake was good though . Worth a try but for the price won't go again .if you get the chance try Bleecker Burger by Bloomberg Arcade

I recently visited Smash + Grab at Liverpool Street and had an amazing experience! I was looking for a halal option and Juned recommended the chicken burger with hot breading and BBQ sauce. Let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! The customer service provided by Juned was exceptional; he was genuinely helpful and ensured that I had a great dining experience. The store was impressively clean today, and the ambience was quite inviting. The staff were all very courteous and ready to assist. If you're looking for tasty halal options, I highly recommend trying the chicken burger with BBQ sauce at Smash + Grab. You won't be disappointed!

We often visit our local Honest burgers at Tooting and have tried their smash burger before so we were very excited to see that they’d opened a specific smashed location. Our visit did not disappoint, the chicken tenders were some of the best we’d had and our burgers (tribute and hot) were fantastic! We also loved the loaded fries! Juned the assistant manager helped us when we had an issue with the ordering kiosk and was super friendly! Definitely worth the trek across London on a Sunday - we’ll be back!

We arrived in London After arriving at Liverpool early afternoon I decided to have a meal in Honest burgers S&G Good burgers and great fries Especially for a chain. The service and location was nice as well. All in all a nice meal

If this is the future of Honest Burgers chain, really…? Bye as costumer! This Smash & Grab its a Terrible experience. No atmosphere at all. The food is smaller and expensive. I prefer the original Honest. We don’t need this kind of stupid plastic glossy copycat McDonalds green plant version.

Working late one night saw and fancied a burger. Ordered a tribute burger and loaded fries. Fries were amazing full of flavour not so much the burger felt that it was under seasoned and a little bland.

Review Update: The new Honest Burguer is actually nothing like before, the food has changed its quality and the new branding is SO not British looking and feel. I am disappointed with the quality of the plant based burger AND rosemary chips that I always loved, VERY different to quite worse. Very saddened as it was one of my favourite lunch treats during the week. Old Review: 5 stars. Honest burgers are the best in town ! ;) Love the plant based burger, I'm a meat eater but couldn't believe how the plant based was soooo tasty.

I love it when it was still the regular honest burger…but now it converted to this smash burger which is overpriced and doesn’t taste that good…please change it back!!

I visited the new ‘Smash and Grab’ near Liverpool Street this week (since I absolutely love Honest burger, and their plant burger is always reliably excellent). However the plant burger this time wasn’t so great - it felt sloppy and the patty was a little cold. The plant based bacon was incredibly tough. Service was very quick although the move to multiple touch screens in a big waiting area cheapens the experience for me. Hopefully it can improve to replicate the quality/premium feel Honest is known for.

This used to be a nice burger place before they transformed it to a “smash+grab”. There’s hardly any options, you can’t even order a burger without any cheese. the quality is poor (chips, cheese, patty) making it basically a glorified McDonalds, but more expensive…. Edit: please note that most (if not all) previous reviews are for the Honest burger place before it was converted.

A fix for a problem that wasn’t needed Honest burgers has been a restaurant we have been going to for a long while, I go into the restaurant to find it to be a carbon copy of McDonald’s, a cheap excuse with expensive prices. This brand has been tarnished by the modern “fast food” approach.

Whilst i like the concept and thought the burger was very tasty, the burger was cold, smaller and more expensive than a normal honest burger. Medium size/double patty should be given as standard for the price as the small/single patty burger left me feeling hungry and I wasn’t prepared to pay more for a single burger with no fries. The burger came out fast but was cold (cheese didn’t even melt) :/ it’s a fast food casual establishment unlike other honest burger restaurants.. however cheaper to get a meal from McDonald’s across the street. You need to lower the prices otherwise this will go downhill very quickly.

I don't mind Honest, not the best burger in the city but a safe option. Please stop this dumb tiktok smash trend though - especially since now it seems you're not going to offer medium rare anymore, at least here. Bored of these overcooked meat crisps for basics and influencers. Some of us what to actually taste the beef.

A proper smash burger piled high with everything I wanted. The Rosemary Salted Chips were perfectly crispy and season well. Not a soggy chip in the bunch. Have to give a special nod to the Oreo Milkshake which was the perfect accompaniment. The Smash and Grab located on Old Broad Street (just outside Liverpool Street) was just opened so everything in the restaurant was clean and brand new. Service was really good and normal speed for a fast food place nowadays. Will definitely be going back.

This is the second time I have visited a chain restaurant and I am quite satisfied with the food. Both times the burgers are extremely tasty and juicy and at good prices. The portion including fries is more than enough to fill you up. I like that there is always ketchup and mayonnaise on the tables. The service staff is very kind. Order pickup and delivery is fast. Only the interior didn't particularly appeal to me, but I guess it's a matter of personal taste.

I have pretty high expectations when I eat a burger so I usually struggle to get excited eating one! But tonight’s burger hit the spot 🤤

Small burgers that are very over priced especially the veggie ones. I’m not sure if it was just me, but the veggies burger I got was about 5cm in diameter and cost £16. I was hoping for at least a medium sized burger for the price. The fries were good though.

The venue is located very close to the Liverpool Street stop. It is open for both lunch and dinner until 11pm and on Sundays until 9.30pm (which is not too obvious given that many restaurants close early). Spacious, and with plenty of seating. Both meat and vegetarian burgers all accompanied by chips. Very good and with the right portions. Fast service.

Delicious food, pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. It was our first visit to an Honest Burgers restaurant and we weren't disappointed, the visit was exactly as expected. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated, the atmosphere and furnishings were pleasant in the restaurant and there were clean toilet facilities. The menu offering was plentiful and it had some great simple options and also fancier burgers too. There is something on there for everyone with beef burgers, vegetarian options and chicken too! Most of the burgers come with fries and they do a special bundle deal too, with drink options. Once we had ordered the food we didn't have to wait too long and then the food was brought out hot and fresh, with great presentation. It was absolutely delicious and full of flavour, I'd definitely recommend the smashed burgers as they're authentic and cooked perfectly. No room for dessert, but we were most happy! The restaurant wasn't busy at all but the service lacked slightly once we'd finished, as we waited a while for someone to clear the table and weren't offered the bill. I had to eventually go to the counter because after more than 15 minutes of waiting nobody had come to offer the bill and then when paying, I asked to remove the optional service charge of 12.5% as I didn't want to pay it. I was asked why I wanted to remove it, but I couldn't tell if this was a challenge to me or way of seeking genuine feedback? Nevertheless, I paid the bill owed and then we left with a departure greeting. The service was good and the staff were not rude at all however the reason for the four-star review and not five-star review, is the excessive wait time once finished and then not being given the bill. I don't agree with service charges being added to bills however if necessary a tip can be given but I didn't feel the service went above and beyond or warranted a service charge/tip. It was good service, but that is what I expect eating out at a location like this. Overall, it was a good visit but the service charge question left me feeling slightly annoyed as it is optional for a reason! The staff however were friendly and the ambience in the restaurant was great. Would I return? Certainly! Would I recommend it to friends and family? Most definitely. It was a good visit and I'd recommend this location to those seeking a tasty and satisfying meal out at an affordable price whilst not compromising on quality or taste. Thank you.

Close to Liverpool station. Quiet and cool place. The burgers are very good, with vegan options, and the right quantities. Fast and correct service. Price accordingly (you are in the center of London!). Cleaning ok too. 100% recommended

Burger was great, I particularly enjoyed their double smash with American cheese. I love the fact that every burger comes with chips. Those burger joints that make you order chips in addition to your burger is a crime. The service was a little bit slow, staffs can be more attentive. Overall was alright, but the table was not thoroughly cleaned and was a bit sticky. Hope they can improve cleanliness in this outlet.

I like to visit honest burgers as I travel to have the location special. This one was great and you will need to visit to find out what it is 9/10. Music was a little too loud but maybe I am getting old. Will be back soon

Went to London for a weekend and had to check out this place after some recommendations. The burgers are so tasty that we ate there for our only two days in the city. Their patties are so juicy, even the smashed ones are still pink inside and crispy on the outside. The burgers come with a very generous side of chips covered in rosemary that are also super crunchy. The chicken tenders and buffalo wings are also worth the visit, they both come with delicious sauces. The staff was avery attentive and friendly, the only bad thing about this place is that they don’t have a franchise in the Netherlands where I live hahahah 10/10. Will be coming back!

I had lunch with colleagues at Honest Burger, Liverpool Street. We went during work hours, and all the chicken served is halal, cooked separately from non-halal products. I chose the chicken signature burger with chips and buffalo wings. For drinks, we had the homemade lemonade, which was really refreshing in the warm weather. The service was good, and the food arrived quickly after ordering. However, after my colleagues finished eating, the waiter hurried to clear their plates while I was still eating—I would have preferred if they had waited until I was done. Overall, the food was great, thank you.

I think 3 stars Is generous but I’m going to give them the benefit on this occasion. Our food took 40 minutes to come out on a quiet Wednesday evening and when it did arrive everything was cold. The staff were lovely and gave us 50% off when they realised and apologised profusely but we were in the restaurant for almost 2 hours when this is supposed to be fast casual dining. The burger then came out piping hot and was enjoyed by everyone. The onion rings however I would avoid at all cost, or if you want the same experience just buy some vegetable oil from the shop and drink it. Staff seemed to be too interested in talking about their weekend plans and throwing bottles and paper in bins than checking on customers / running service. It was an interesting evening and I don’t think I’ll be back.

I had a great experience. The food was good, with the burger cooked to the perfect point. The fries were delicious, and it’s a plus that all hamburgers come with fries included. The staff was also friendly and kind, making the overall dining experience even better.

They say their chicken is halal and they have vegan options. But when calling to confirm they said they cook everything on the same grill. They said this includes the bacon in their burgers being cooked on the same grill as their "halal" chicken

As with other locations, they did a great job with gluten free options and minimizing cross contamination so it was suitable for those with coeliac. Overall delicious and safe.

Great burgers and service every time.

Food was standard fair. Service was poor. Server who was taking the order didn't come over when I asked him, so was asking me to shout the group I was with to place an order...while he sat on a stool with the tablet to take an order. When I asked him to come over again, he ignored me. Very poor service and attitude.

I haven't been to honest burger for a few years, I was disappointed overall the burger was very small and disappointing, chips were the remnants of crispy bits from the fryer, didn't have the rosemary smell like I remember. I left here and went to get more for lunch as this want enough for my meal. I don't think I will return. Especially when MC ds is just across the road.
