I wish I could rate this more than 5 stars! My journey from start to finish here was amazing 🤩! Hospitality at its finest! This place could be the grounding place of teaching people how to serve cause from the very start of being welcomed when coming in to saying goodbye when we left was the highlight of my day. We went today (xmas eve) The staff were very friendly and helpful but the food took a very long time and was awful. Chicken wings very dry the fried chicken was way overcooked and dry. The scampi was very nice but everything else on our table was awful. Wouldn't recommend for food but we great for having a drink

Really good local this. Always greeted well from staff. It can bea little rowdy from tye younger lot but I've never experienced it to be aggressive. Always fun and just pur young enjoying their nights out. Belting place in the summer for football. Huge back garden. Could do with a 2nd TV out their to be fair but I've watched the Derby in their and 1 was plenty. Because the red half all left after 30 min...🤣🤣 decent Guiness. This place is a landmark and should always remain a local boozer.

Love this place, the staff are always so welcoming. The food is decent. NHS discount on food, not including any offers though bear in mind. Karaoke was great fun 😄 Updating 13 Sept 2022, another fabulous meal at the stonemasons, they must know good staff when they see them and they must be good employers to keep them too. All the crew that looked after us today were amazing, we were celebrating my mums 65th birthday and she had a fabulous time, she's vowed to return for the senior special 😉 Along with Eliza looking after us there was Michael, Ash, William all front of house serving and making us all feel welcome, making my mum feel extra special too every time they came over. And the food, the nachos and award winning pies in particular, exceptionally good value and very tasty. All thanks to Ange and Aaron in the back working hard to get all our orders out together, even though we all ordered and paid separately. I don't need to tell you we will all definitely be returning ... Update March 2023, Still love going here, recently tried dome of the small plates and they were lovely. Again, all the staff lovely and very friendly. Always love a bite to eat and few drinks in here, it's my go to after a stressful week as its only a short walk away and always a good time. Update December 2023 Went in today for a burger and Christmas cocktail 😋 excellent as usual

This local pub has a traditional atmosphere and offers a varied menu. The food is good quality, the portions are ample and the prices are very reasonable. The bar staff Kev, Tyler and Michael were welcoming and gave service with a smile. Tuesday evening was a little quiet which suited us after a long day looking after our 2 year old grandson. My wife and I will definitely come again.

On a day out with Flicarus. Just realised this is my first visit here in 49 years when I lived locally on Brooklands Road. ( I also learned never to gamble in a pub. I was £30 up at poker with incredible luck, about 150 pints in today's money...so they changed to a game where I did not know the rules and won most of it back...with what I soon discovered was by cheating! Still, lesson learnt.) Liked my visit. 3 real ales and CAMRA 10% discount. Lovely Greene King pub. Big beer garden at the rear. Seating in front as well. Flic likes the Christmas decorations in mid November. Ho Ho Ho.

Came for some food and drink late on one night with my wife. Food was fantastic and didn’t have to wait long even with it being relatively busy, I’d recommend the Katsu curry which was really nice. Bar staff nice and friendly, Ash served our food and was really helpful all night. Great atmosphere and will definitely return again sometime soon.

Staff really kind and attentive especially Kev and Ash serving behind the bar. Had a steak and cheese banquet which was really well cooked. They were kind enough to help my elderly relative with the menue. Thanks guys great service.

The best local there is, come in here with my boyfriend and his mates and always have a pleasant experience. Food is always on point and we order the same every week. The staff are friendly and welcoming. shout out to Ashleigh and Kev who make our visits always 5* and enjoy a laugh and a chat with them.

Sunday lunch beef was described as pink no pink in sight grisly beef and tough to eat undercooked broccoli mould cauliflower very disappointing the only good thing was the young man who served us behind the bar very pleasant but won't be coming again

The staff who work here need more praise!! We were here Friday night.. I could clearly see the staff were so warm as it was extremely hot temperatures. Nevertheless Ashley Micheal Kev and Chloe (I said I would remember their names!!) were so lovely and just got on with it! They were polite to everyone the whole night and it was so so busy but these guys were amazing the customer service was fabulous and I can’t sing their praises enough! Thank you again!!! Amazing team!!!

Extremely expensive for alcohol free drinks but it is the only place (so far) that I’ve seen Guinness 0.0 in a pint can so there’s that. Would’ve cost more for an alcohol free Peroni at 330ml which is just out of touch if you ask me when they’re essentially soft drinks… also you’re deprived of privacy when it comes to the male toilets… what the heck!

We came on Saturday and it was extremely busy due to the weather, however staff were very assertive and food came surprisingly fast.. and was also amazing! We ended up staying for the evening and there was entertainment which we loved, fantastic night overall!

Absolutely shocking service. The person who served me ( Kevin) was so rude. I asked if the icecream on the kids menu was vegan as I was unsure of the signs as my child is dairy free. He said ‘ he doesn’t know, what ever ve means’ And was so rude taking the rest of the order Food come out, no bacon on the burger, so we sent it back. Bacon came out freezing, I even made them feel it to which there was no apology. Kevin was very very rude. Kids food come out cold too which no one seemed to care. I have been here lots and never had such poor customer service and bad food. I also paid with a gift card I got for my birthday. To which they cannot refund and I have to contact customer service and sort it myself. Absolute shocking customer service today

Visited 4 x so far. When we found this pub we were so happy, dog friendly, great staff and super clean toilets. However, we come at lunchtimes and the food has been hit and miss. First time round we ordered the small bites including salt beef Bao buns , excellent! Next time we had fish n chips but the fish wasn't fully cooked. Back to the bao buns but this time the bun was hard as it had been microwaved too long, neither was it the salt beef filing that we'd ordered but either chicken or pork in a bbq filling which was cold??, we had to leave them. Last week's food was luke warm and today's lovely. We've persevered but depends who's in the kitchen, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

A great pub in Timperley village, the staff are brilliant and friendly, it's a friendly pub with some great regular that make you feel welcome also, the breakfast and food in general is spot on, I highly recommend popping in for a pint.

It's local and adequate, though not especially comfy and I've been a few times in 4 years, for a drink with friends or some food (which has been enjoyed), but on the occasion we went mid afternoon, it was initially OK, but then a group arrived who were boisterous and acting silly; clearly rather boozed up. Bar got very busy when they arrived and another friend who later joined us waited in a big queue, then couldn't even make himself heard with his order. The place could do with being cleaner and appears to have deteriorated in standard. Table was sticky, there was dust to be seen, cutlery not washed properly and my glass was filthy, which I wiped with a napkin. Really not that impressed, I'd say it's a bit 'rough' though obviously popular with some locals as regulars know one another and seems friendly.

Went for Dinner with friends yesterday, we all had the Roast Beef, it was the worst Sunday dinner I've ever had inedible meat, rock hard Roast Potatoes had no potato inside, give this place a wide berth!!!!!

Have eaten here a few times and the food is always very good. It is also a very friendly place with consistently cheerful and professional service. We were served today by Kev, Ange, and Alex, who did a terrific job.
