The Stanhill Pub & Kitchen in Hyndburn

Very Impressed! We live locally and been meaning to try for a while and went midweek for an evening meal. The staff were great, friendly and helpful and the food was excellent! Definitely one of the best places we've eaten at locally, I should imagine we will be trying more of the menu in the near future 😋

Definitely my favourite place. Once again I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Always presented well and very tasty. The staff are always friendly.

Food is served piping hot. Delicious mushroom starter and both pies, the braised steak and cheese and onion pies are fully filled, hearty and and lovely crumbly pastry. The Yorkshire puddings are oversized and overcooked making them a bit leathery but does not spoil the overall meal. Good value and the staff are attentive and provide excellent service.

Lovely staff who helped to provide us with extra seating for 2 unexpected guests to our group. Thank you much appreciated.

The food here is phenomenal. The place itself doesn't look anything special, to be honest, but don't let that put you off. We love it here and would highly recommend it.

Other than the soup of the day, there's not much on the menu that isn't served with chips.

Great little find on our way back home. Lovely looking from the outside and even nicer inside. Stopped off for dinner and got the cheese and onion pie with triple cooked chips, garlic bread for starters which was amazing. Dogs are also welcome which was a bonus for us as we had ours. Children's menu also a good selection. The young waitresses were lovely and attentive. Would definitely come back. (would love to know where the garlic bread was made as it is the nicest one ever.)

Fantastic food and great beer. The staff were lovely too. Definitely going to visit again soon. Sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Revisited and had another great meal. Really enjoy going here and highly recommend the steak pie

Had an awesome meal here tonight. Steak and ale pie. Real mash, real gravy, cabbage and carrot. Superb. To follow biscoff cheesecake and ice cream. Keep doing what you do.

Just had Sunday lunch... EXCELLENT.....PRAWN SALAD STARTER AND A SOUP...THEN 2 ROAST BEEF DINNERS... EXCELLENT....LONG TIME SINCE WE'VE HAD BEEF AS GOOD AS THAT... HOT PLATES... LOVELY BEEF AND GRAVY... YORKSHIRE PUDDING MELTED IN YR MOUTH...PROPER ROAST SPUDS...NICE MASH THAT TASTED FRESH NOT WARMED UP...LOVELY VEG.....CLEAN PLACE... EXCELLENT ATTENTIVE STAFF... COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR YOU...HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.👍

We ordered from the Sunday menu. There was plenty of choice. Everything was well presented and very tasty. The service was faultless. Highly recommended.

A great place to eat and relax.

Looked good but couldn't facilitate us with a table for over an hour. Unfortunately we were starving and couldn't wait that long.

Excellent food, had the Sunday roast and it was well worth it. Busy time to be in hence 4* for the service and atmosphere but that's just personal preference, all staff were very friendly and atmosphere was as you can expect for a Sunday roast. Will be back 👌👍

Great food and great service! The thing i loved about this place was their ability to accommodate! Staff were so nice! The fact that the ladies toilets have sanitary towels and tampons, I thought was an extremely nice touch! Thanks guys, we live out of ossy. But we will be back

visited for a works meal. Really good food and hospitality. You could sense they were understaffed with drinks not being the quickest but that black pudding mash made up for it.

Must say that the meal we had at the Stanhill was one of the best we have tasted of late. Excellent food and service. We'll done.

This is a semi- country pub with a first class kitchen, the cuisine is typical 'pub' fayre but cooked to perfection. My party was a table for six with a baby we were seated comfortably and served politely. We all had starters and all looked excellent and plentiful, I had the crayfish caeser salad with anchovies which comprised of a generous serving of crayfish tails, a few fresh anchovies, lettuce, a few crutons which lacked garlic marinade and a few tasteless shavings of parmisan BUT it was fresh, very filling and good value at £8.00. I chose Battered fish, chips and mushy peas ( totally unadventurous) from an extensive menu but it was first class and excellent value. The Eaton mess pudding was also excellent but slightly overpriced. All in all this is an unpretentious establishment with a very good kitchen and well worth a visit.

Food very good and prompt service and will definitely return my only criticism would be, all 3 staff that served us were very regimented and need to learn some pleasant chat with customers to achieve a more relaxed atmosphere,hope you might take this on board.

We are locals at the Stanhill so we go on a regular basis. Over the last year all our favourites have been taken off the menu but we have still visited quite regularly. We were delighted tonight when at least two of our favourites have been put back on the menu. Hope this is a sign of things to come and all our favourites will be back shortly

Just been for lunch today with my wife. Good quality food served hot and tasty. All the staff were amazing, attentive & polite. Perfect timing for every course and the dining area was pleasantly setup and comfortable. Well done to Brian & Team, a real delight to have visited first time and will be coming back 👍🏼👏🏼

Food was excellent. One particular server was quite rude. Generally servers would benefit from customer service training and uniforms being smartened up. Public areas were clean and tidy.

Decent vegan menu & great atmosphere. Disabled parking bays were a long walk from either entrance across slippery decking, could be improved.

Just what we needed on our trip to the South Coast from the Highlands of Scotland. Good, hot food freshly made in a no-nonsense kitchen. Friendly waiting staff, interested, busy and efficient. Best of all, a really family friendly place where generations dined, laughed and enjoyed a great pub atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Very nice food but the white mousse dessert very disappointing in quantity. £6.50 and it was 3 teaspoon sizes of mousse on a large plate. I mentioned that everything was great but for that. Side salad was a bit small too. The staff serving were very attentive and thorough with asking when we wanted drinks, taking empty plates away as they were there, so not to leave us cluttered. Nice choice of food. Would go again

First time I've been here tonight. Some of our group were a bit late, but the staff didn't bother one bit. All the staff were polite and courteous! The food was fabulous and such generous portions! Lovely meal at the Stanhill pub and kitchen. Nice and relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very attentive.

Went for a lunch out with my work colleagues, I found the service was a little slow, my gammon was a little under cooked and the chips were a bit over done imo. We waited quite a while for our deserts to arrive but was very well presented and tasty when they did.

Service was good and the food was above average. However one of our group ordered the pork dish. One of the cuts was gristle and under cooked. This was taken off the bill. The other dishes were fine. I would go to the Stanhill Arms again. I think this was an unfortunate one off but I will review again in the future.

Booked for a joint birthday. Food was lovely. Staff were very attentive and helpful. They helped hide the birthday cakes and brought them out for us when we were ready. They even brought us plates so we could eat a piece 😁

Always great food here. Been on numerous occasions. Menu has a good choice. My sons love the children's menu too. Good value for money. Great for just a few drinks too.
