First time in town and imposts was a lovely place to have a lovely coffee and some brunch Great coffee and the service was brilliant

Urgh just urgh worse place going! Dont bother and save your money for somewhere decent! Even chain coffee shops are better than this place’

Love this place. nice staff, and by far the best coffee I have had here in the UK. Love it. Get out the those chain shops and give this a try.

Every Saturday we have a late breakfast/ lunch at Imposta. Delicious bacon & egg sandwiches & their tuna toasty on granary bread is yum! The Americano coffees are really good too. Highly recommend this place.

Staff are very friendly and prices are reasonable. Food was enjoyed by all. Regularly visit Accrington cafes with friends and this is one of the better ones.

If the unprofessional behavior of the owner Elicha Scott is anything to go by, I wouldn’t want to risk trying the coffee etc.

i tried to complain about the stale mouldy scone, it looked like it was baked 3 months ago, and the boss Ms Scott was incredibly rude to me and made a racist remark. the hilarious thing is i'm actually english, my accent is just because i've lived in eastern europe for so long i picked up an accent. the racist remark was uncalled for. by the way the coffee is DISGUSTING and the place is in need of a good clean, it's filthy.

Mediocre coffee and the floors are rotten. Staff look miserable and didn’t make me feel welcome at all. Mop round wouldn’t hurt every now and then as clearly hadn’t been cleaned for few days.

Popped in for some coffee and cake while visiting the area, not a great experience, unwelcoming attitude from the staff and mediocre food and drinks.

A young lady was humiliated by the owner , she responded with grace and maturity. This is an unethical business and should not be supported.

Manageress is awful, clearly bullying waiting staff and deeply uncomfortable to be present. Avoid Avoid AVOID. This cafe recently made national headlines for bullying staff on social media!

i could understand treating someone like the owner has remotely in one of gordon ramsey's restaurants (and even then thats a stretch) but christ she's only been in the job for a week she's obviously gonna make mistakes. don't see what's wrong with her attire either when the owner has a massive thigh tattoo.

I visited the cafe for a latte & a cake, both of which were perfectly fine.

see todays daily mail giving staff final warnings because they have teenage acne and then accusing them of being under the influence of alcohol when they are not and posting it all on facebook is outrageous and disgusting behaviour. hope you go bust.

The owner is a horrible nasty woman who gets her kicks from being nasty to children. She has some sort of personality disorder and can't talk to people without trying to appear superior to them.

Over priced rubbish served by a very rude woman. Much prefer a real costa than this cheap imitation.

Appalling is every sense. What tipped me over the edge and lead me here was the disgusting way the lady who claimed to own this place spoke to customers (including myself) and even her own employees. You have been warned!!!

Visited this week. What a disappointment. The coffee was mediocre and lukewarm. The scones were dry & stale. Upon requesting replacements we were greeted by the manager with total derision and extremely personal insults. I definitely will not be returning THE WORST CAFE EVER EXPERIENCED

I am at a loss to understand the positive comments about the coffee and food. Visited here several days ago and found the coffee to be bitter and lacking any depth and taste. The side order of cake was less than fresh and a huge disappointment. It was one of those times were one just wants to get up, throw down the cash owed and leave, never to return. Having read the very recent posts, this place clearly has some dreadful management issues and, to be honest, that doesn't surprise me at all. In summary, give it a miss, it's over-rated, grubby and serves forgetable coffee.

Coffee is the best in town and so are the bacon sandwiches, but all the food at Imposta is good. The scones are home made every day and are delicious. The staff work so hard. They really deserve a 5 star review.

Lovely coffee shop I have been going for a while with family and friends but haven't been for a few months so thought I nice trip to imposts would be lovely. Saturday afternoon I thought I'd take my friend to have a coffee so We order coffee and food our coffee came fast and was such a lovely coffee but we had finished our coffee as we was waiting for our food for quiet a while to then realise why our food was taking so long, the two young staff was behind the counter was playing catch which I found very unprofessional and rather annoying as I had been waiting for my food for a while but they was more interested in playing catch than focusing on getting my food ready, I was rather disappointed at how unprofessional they both appeared.

Fui a la Imposta de café con mi padre por algo que hacer, y cuando entré por primera vez, sólo que el lugar lo nuevo en completa satisfacción porque parecía muy moderno y tenía una muy tranquilo establecido y diseño. También tenía una atmósfera muy tranquila, así que cuando primero se sentó, me sentí como que no era real, pero sólo de pensar en que era en realidad, era sólo un verdadero momento de "o mi, esto es increíble". Se lo recomiendo a cualquiera, especialmente si quieres venir para una agradable sentarse a leer el periódico o una revista, o para enterarse de algunas cosas. Definitivamente estoy yendo de nuevo y he estado un par de veces. Es excelente no te pierdas.

A relaxing place to have a coffee at a reasonable price. A refreshing change to the high street chain coffee shops. Will definitely return.

Este es todavía el mejor cafetería en accrington. Los bollos son tan excelente como siempre. Sólo tienden a ir para el desayuno o café ya que ahora ya no sirven la comida caliente y, lo que es realmente decepcionante, sándwiches tostados. También bocadillos fríos ya hizo lo primero en la mañana, así que no puede haber uno a la orden como anteriormente, la última que tuve iba bastante descuidadas.

Después de cerrar temporalmente a principios de este año, Imposta es, sin duda, abierto para negocios. Relajado, acogedor entorno (impecable), con un personal muy atento y amable que sirve de buena calidad bebidas frías y calientes, pasteles y sándwiches. Lugar perfecto para pasar una hora leyendo sus papeles o viendo el mundo pasar. Sin duda será un visitante habitual.

Era mi lugar favorito para el atún, lástima que dice sandwichera cerraron como solía ir allí semanalmente. Era buena relación calidad-precio y buen ambiente relajante

A diferencia de sabor amargo no después cada otras cafeterías, especialmente las grandes cadenas hoteleras. El servicio era bueno y los precios son estupendos. Fantástico lugar en general.

I think you will find this has closed now. We enjoyed our one previous visit so much that we decided to call again when in town on Saturday, April 30, only to find a note on the closed door thanking customers for their support over the previous six years. Sad.

I went to this coffee shop with my family, the food was very nice and the staff seemed friendly. I would have liked soup and a sandwich but unfortunately they weren't doing soup that day as they were closing early. I think it was because it was over the Christmas holidays. I was a little hungry with just my sandwich but I am quite greedy. It's a lovely place for a coffee and a light snack.

Went in on my lunch break, ordered a cappucino and a muffin and my card has been getting declined in certain places and instead of shooing me out the shop the girl who was working at the till let me try it again (it got approved) and she's just very friendly and lovely and the food I bought is very nice and reasonably priced too! Will come again!☺

we have a de-tour on the way to work at least once a week because the coffee is so good! I even have a Starbucks at work but this coffee is much better. Well with a visit!

Really enjoy the friendly service and the good atmosphere. It is easy to stop at as there is good parking nearby at Abbey Road. A great alternative to the corporate chains of coffee shops.

pannini to die for , lovely coffee and pannini reasonably priced and lovely tasting, always a nice touch quality newspapers, comfortable upright chairs and lovely décor .This place is warm friendly and different relaxing and unrushed an oasis amongst the sterile chain coffee shops in Accrington

Coffee and tea were OK, but then they started vacuuming and bleaching the floor an hour before closing. The smell was strong enough to spoil the taste. When we complained the manager was rude and unpleasant. Won't be going back.

Called in whilst in Accrington after leaving car in Bury for MOT - well worth the Rosso Rover bus ticket. Nice buzzing atmosphere, delicious rich coffee and friendly efficient staff. See you soon.

partner and i called in for a sandwich on the way back from an out of town appointment, we ordered smokey bacon on white bread, which was excellent.

Best latte in town, and the bacon butty's are delicious, as is all the food. The staff are so friendly and efficient. A big thank you to them all and to Paul, the owner.

Walked past here so many times and never called in.....after trying Imposta 2 weeks ago I'm kicking myself for not calling in earlier!!!The coffee is excellent, the food is excellent and the homemade foccacia bread is AMAZING. I've only had a scone treat wise which was ace and plan to have more of the selection of treats they serve.They have a loyalty scheme for coffee which is good and you can do this via their mobile phone app too so you're not always looking for the card in your wallet. WI-FI is also excellent.Great place.

Having been to Imposta a number of times, I would recommend this restaurant as a great place to have coffee and lunch. I normally get an Americano and a toasted sandwich...both are usually very good. I have only been disappointed once (14th Oct) when the staff (4 young adults) seemed to be more interested in socialising with each other than making our sandwiches. The result was a burned toasty with very little filling and a 25 minute wait (even though we were the only customers in at the time)...if it was our first time in, we wouldn't have returned...but knowing this was a one off...we will return again and I would recommend Imposta as a nice place go.

My hubby has been off work sick following a heart attack, visiting this lovely little cafe has really helped cheer him up and get him out of the house. The food and coffee are yummy

I called in here for a quick bite to eat on my lunch break, what a fab little place! Handy for town and great friendly service.I ordered a focaccia with pastrami and peppers: it was delicious. The bread was what made it and I was informed they bake all their own.Prices were reasonable and the coffee was also tasty.Will definitely be back for more.

Went in for a light lunch and its quite a chill place which was a pleasant surprise.We both had Panini's and different types which we watched being freshly prepared perfectly. The food was great as was the coffee with a short wait as they were getting busy.The staff were nice and we will be going back I am sure for fine light lunches.I think they do a cake and coffee offer later in the day and the only down side is it closes before most finish work, it would be handy to call in on the way home as its such a nice comfy place.I wonder if they would ever think of staying open later perhaps on a Friday or at least try it?So, a great place for FRESHLY made food and good Coffee.Perhaps just a little on the pricy side?

Often visit to meet with friends for a relaxed coffee as well as taking my children who swear that they sell the best milkshakes they've ever tasted! With lots of competition around, they have risen to the top by serving lovely food and drinks and providing a relaxed and homely atmosphere. Often the owners Keely and Paul come to chat with the customers which is great I recommend to all my friends and family.

We have had coffee here on many occasions and never been disappointed. Selection of home made food always good. Staff are particularly welcoming too.

I always go to Imposta when I come from America to visit my mum. Their coffee is the best ever, and they have great sandwiches, soup and cakes. The bacon sani is amazing. The staff are so friendly. It is a really comfortable atmosphere. Thanks to Paul and all the staff. Can't wait to come back in a couple of months.

Since it opened, Imposta has always served excellent coffee (in a variety of forms) to suit the customers of Accrington - and even to push their boundaries! Staff are attentive and passionate about coffee and the food they make. Refreshing to visit an indie cafe which is authentic and confident in what it does - I still can't believe others would visit chain 'cafes' with this in our own town... I have spent many a morning or afternoon - with or without company (you feel as welcome either way!) - reading, working or socialising. With their free wifi and loyalty cards, you feel valued and welcomed on each visit. Highly recommended!

Opposite the main post office, this is a welcome addition to Accrington. Good range of food to compliment well made coffee. Better, on price and quality, than the national/international chains.

Who would have thought that Accrington is the home of a coffee shop that rivals any of the big chains! Having travelled back home from London to see family I was surprised to find fantastic coffee and homemade, fresh food in a shop that looks inside and outside like it could hold its own in any London high street. Despite the warm weather I decided to have the homemade carrot and coriander spicy soup which was fab and how nice to have a freshly made sandwich rather than a cold, damp sandwich from a fridge. Being a bit of a coffee nerd it was novel to be able to actually have a conversation with the barista/owner about coffee and to hear the enthusiasm and interest in making sure that customers get the best coffee in town. I will be around for a few days and will need my coffee fix so will definitely be back and see how we get Imposta down south.

We found this little gem after trying a different coffee house each week after shopping with a friend in Accrington. Imposta Coffee is by far the best, plus the homemade soups, paninis and sandwiches which all are excellent. We always go for Cappuccinos, these are the bestest in town

Pleasant surroundings, very busy but it was Saturday lunch time. Offered a variety of toasties, sandwches etc. Took a while for food to arrive but as it was very busy can't complain. Toastie arrived, well presented and well cooked. Was nearly cold like it had been sat on a counter for a few minutes before waitress brought it over. Was disappointed to say the least.

Found ourselves in Acccrington at lunchtime and as we were passing decided to pop in to Impostas on the spur of the moment, what a great idea. The drinks were excellent, the coffee was some of the best tasted for a while and the mocha was delicious. The hot filled Italien flatbreads were tasty and the cakes absolutely superb, we will be back.

Had a lovely catch up with friends here, the staff are friendly which is very important to me. The coffee (cake) & banter with friends make this a highly recommended place

I am not a fan of chain coffee stores, so I was happy when passing by this little place. Popped in to have a look and loved it. Went to the posties, then found myself trotting back. Now, I don't usually drink coffee after noon, but on this occasion could not resist ordering a mocha. I was served in a very comfortable, window seated sofa, a steaming hot, gorgeously garnished, supersized cup of the most delicious mocha. I will be back for sure. And to add to that the staff are lovely and so helpful, and the clientele of this establishment seem to be mainly regulars, which is always a good sign. I was also blessed to have a wonderful lady sit next to me and tell me all the best places to visit in the area and surrounds, which is a delight as I am new to this area.All in all, a very good cafe with a very good vibe.

My mum is a regular at Imposta, and when I come to visit her from America we go for lunch a couple of times. The coffee is the best around, and the menu is simple but always really delicious food. The staff are welcoming, friendly and go above and beyond to give really good service. Thanks to John and his team for doing such a great job. Will be back soon.

I often have a working lunch at imposts in Accrington a couple if times a week. Whilst theirs isn't the largest selection in town, this dies not detract at all from the quality of food on offer. I usually have an earl grey and chicken, bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich which is condistabtly excellent. Today I chose a chicken, Swiss cheese and chilli flat bread which was delicious. My colleague loves the coffee and says its the best around.We always receive a great service with the staff remembering our usual orders. Lovely atmosphere, warm, welcoming and clean. A great coffee shop in the centre of Accrington.

I regularly visit this shop for coffee with various friends. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. There is an excellent choice of snacks, lunches and cakes to accompany the coffee.

Not only do they do the best cappuccino but the food is great, good selection and lots of naughty but very nice cakes!! The owners and staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and it's always a lovely friendly atmosphere. My favourite place in Accrington and beyond.

This Coffee shop is amazing James Makes the best coffee's they are yummy and the Bacon Sandwiches are brill! don't go to Costa come here! The owners are lovely and they always speak to you when you arrive to when you leave. Brill Staff and Excellent food

Stopped in for a coffee and a sandwich with the wife. The coffee is fantastic and served quickly. The staff are friendly and the cake selection is is great. Try the new coconut and chocolate cake there fantastic. This place certainly beats all other coffee places in Accrington. Well worth a visit

I discovered Imposta after the owner kindly donated to my charity (Macmillan Cancer support). I had a coffee whilst waiting for the generous vouchers he donated. Since then over the past few months my hubby and I call once or twice a week for morning coffee and a toasted teacake. The coffee is superb, the staff really friendly and service is very good. (the price is also good) The menu for lunch looks very nice. They have a lot of regular customers and I am not surprised that they do. If in Accrington visit this shop rather than the "chain" coffee shops.

In Accrington for the day I called at Imposta, encouraged by the good reviews and I was not disappointed. It is situated right in the centre of Town and the interior, which consists of two rooms, is filled with well spaced comfortable seating. There is a wide ranging menu which includes more unusual items and my salami and sun dried tomato meal on Italian flat bread was excellent. Friendly and efficient staff, fair prices and excellent coffee made for a very enjoyable visit. Recommended.

Always in there, staff are friendly.... pauls humour is an acquired taste... we laugh at him rather than with him. Wouldn't have it any other way. Great place to drop in on way to work, shopping or just want to chill

Just popped in for a takeaway Saturday morning/ place was packed but staff were efficient, polite and it's the best coffee bid had since moving here 6 months ago! Don't bother with costa this place is far far better And I'll be back very soon!

I visit Imposta Coffee at least once a day as I work locally, and have been doing for over a year. The quality and consistency has kept me coming back every single day. It's nice to have finally found a coffee shop in the United Kingdom who serve proper coffee and food with passion. Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff I can't recommend it enough.

What a lovely little place.This coffee house has a real buzz about it. Warm, friendly, delicious coffee.....and the Italian Flatbread with Brie, bacon and cranberry was absolutely yummy! Even the side salad on the plate was fresh and tasty!I'm sooooooo glad I have discovered this little gem. Yes, it's small, compact and a little noisy....but, hey, that adds to the atmosphere!Well done on bringing a touch of magic to the town, Imposta Coffee :-)HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I have been using Imposta for some time now and call in regularly. I am, infact, meeting a friend there on Friday as it is a good place for parking as well. Great cup of coffee and really tasty snacks to go with.

Fantastic Coffee shop just on the outskirts of Accy. Prices, service, food, coffee all very very good. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because they don't serve SOYA milk which in this day and age should be standard ....... Please please just have have soya milk in the fridge & we shall come a lot more.

went for lunch, we got a seat and ordered our food. staff friendly and food came quick. the music was very dance/clubby ...it was not relaxed..they should play more soft gentle music :)

I really enjoyed my lunchtime time coffee treat at Imposta Coffee. The service was excellent and the attention to my needs was outstanding. I asked for a special blend of coffee and the owners really went to extra lengths to fulfil my needs. Also the food was second to none and I believe it is all home made. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I would recommend this establishment to my family and friends.

I was in accrington for a business meeting, so the wifi was welcome. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. The coffee was great and the home made cakes proved to much of a temptation. It really is a bit of chique in accrington. I will be going there again, soon

My family and I have visited Inposta since it opened .The food is fantastic ,the coffee and other beverages are served professionally .The choice of menu varies ,depending on the seasons .The egg custard is to die for .My grandchildren love the mini cappochinos which are given complimentary .Paul and his delightful wife take the time to speak to everyone ,as do all the staff .Every member of staff serves with professlism and a smile .My family and I never visit Accrington without visiting Inposta
