Had a really lovely experience, Naomi gave us a great service. We got our orders in a timely manner and she gave us great suggestions. We would definitely be returning, such a lovely place and even better that it’s local.

Went to celebrate my son's 40th birthday for Sunday lunch - we were a group of five. We all ordered at more or less the same time. Two wanted sea bass and were told that they didn't have any and were offered scampi instead. Two ordered gammon meals and one hunters chicken. We were told that the waiting time was about an hour, which we weren't happy about but accepted. After about 40 mins the two scampi meals arrived. The other three meals still hadn't arrived after more than an hour. After enquiring how much longer it would be we were told about another 10 mins. Then someone else came and said that they had run out of Yorkshire puddings - really, when roast dinners are common on a Sunday!!!! We'd waited long enough by then so we asked for a refund for the three meals that never arrived and left. It's not like it was very busy.

Came in yesterday for a quick lunch on my way past, had a beer and a cheese and bacon burger served by Tiff, was absolutely lovely food and a nice chat with Tiff when she served me! Will definitely come back :)

I will never understand this place. It seems like a big pub chain has abandoned it and let it go. The last time I went was on a Friday night (18th October around 10:50 pm). I wanted to have a late drink with a friend and decided to visit my local pub. I was so disappointed to see a group of young people, probably friends of the staff, listening to very loud R&B and rap music on a large portable speaker in front of the bar area, changing the music every 30 seconds. You’re waiting to be served, but there’s only one person behind the bar while the rest are drinking with friends.

I went to see the fireworks on Tuesday. It was amazing. I really enjoyed it, wonderful display. Great work to the team for organising it! 🥳🥳

Lovely little pub. Even better when the cosy fires are on. Really adds to the ambience of the place. My favourite server is Sarah. She takes time to talk to the customers and makes sure we are all ok. Must not forget she is always smiling!

The toilets we’re swimming in water and the language of customers nearby was unacceptable.

I was at a wedding reception here and I must say it was the best I have been to in a “pub”. Fantastic atmosphere and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. I have been using this pub for many years and I have to say since the new managers have taken over the pub has gone from strength to strength . The front of house staff are amazing and the kitchen staff just as amazing. The food is brilliant. NOW to the main thing for this review! myself and my NEW WIFE have recently had our wedding reception in the pub and I simply can't fault anything . From start to finish the management team Benjy & Mandy made us feel so welcome and literally allowed us to move everything around so we could have it the way we wanted . Special mention to Tiffany you was a superstar and without your help we couldn't have done what we wanted to do. I would highly recommend this to use for any party that people need a venue for . The food we had was simply put of this world and could not fault anything . I literally can't thank everyone enough who worked behind the bar on the day and in the Kitchen who then came and partied with us when they could .

We had a gold buffet for around 100 people! We couldn't fault it at all! All the food was delicious and it looked amazing also! The foh staff were super friendly,attentive and very helpful! We had such an amazing time and everyone was complimenting how amazing it was! I quite like the stag and hounds. The beer is always good and the staff are friendly. My only negative thing I could say was the last time I visited (Tuesday), I went to the toilet and there was a man who appeared to be pleasuring himself at the urinal.

I recently visited Stag and Hounds, I had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm, cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way (Especially Lucay) to ensure we had everything we needed!

The staff at the stag and hound are so friendly and welcoming and the food is amazing and so reasonable . The pub has a great atmosphere and is very family friendly you can even bring your dog . I always recommend the stag and hound to all my friends and family.

I had an excellent experience at The Stag and Hounds. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and flavorful. The cozy ambiance added to the enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend for a great meal and superb service!

I had to deliver packages to an employee so didn't get a chance to enjoy the place but from what I saw it looked great. The football was on and everyone was enjoying themselves
