The Stable in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

I visited The Stables after hearing good reviews from my friends and despite it being DIY kind of serving, the pizza was by far one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had. A crispy, thin flatbread/pitta kind of base which lacked flavour, it felt as though there was no texture to the pizza. You find better pizza from a supermarket so I definitely would not go again.

We visited twice during our stay in Falmouth. Delicious Pizzas, good choice of beers. Lovely views over the harbour. Reasonable priced

We hate cold food and recent reviews made us worried. We asked to sit upstairs to give the pizzas the minimum distance to travel and as usual we swapped toppings and asked for them to be well done as this keeps them hotter for longer. The pizzas were delivered hot and in order and the staff were friendly and attentive. Full marks..

Great Sourdough Pizza in the Old Custom House on the Quay, a late dinner meant service was fairly quick, not a huge choice of drinks but I came hear to eat so not a big issue.

Good selection of beers and nice garlic bread. Service abysmal. 50% of staff pottering about and not focusing on the customer, (Tuesday evening. Not busy, shouldn’t take an hour for pizza). Pizza nice, but overpriced for what you got.

Popped in here for dinner. Had pizzas and beer. Good selection of pizza and sides. And a not too bad selection of beers. Good service for both food and drinks. Went mid week so wasn’t particularly busy. Food was really tasty. Would go back.

As an extremely fussy pizza eater, I normally avoid pizza restaurants but the pizza here is absolutely fabulous. Service was very good too. Nice place to spend time.

My wife wanted to see the art exhibition in the lovely Falmouth. After the visit, our daughter was hungry, so she chose this nice looking venue. We sat overlooking the harbour, sun was shining. We had various Pizzas, dough balls, salad and my wife chose for me, a St Ives Meor ale, which was glorious. The young lady serving was marvellous, friendly and even got our dog a bowl of water. Excellent meals, ales, setting and service.

Yeah, I think my headline sums it up. They also do a neat little tasting flight of five ciders in small glasses to help guide you around some top flavours.

Wonderful food! I had the best pizza I have ever had and my husband had the best ever mac’n’cheese he has ever enjoyed. And he has had many! Big shout out to the Staff who were very friendly even though they were very busy - they were so efficient. Especially Bea who welcomed us warmly and made sure we were very well looked after. Had a lovely meal with family here on a Monday evening. Booked in advance as we'd previously tried to visit and wasn't able to get in, and it was probably good that we did as while it was fairly quiet when we arrived, it did start to get busy once we had been there for a while. The food was very good, and the service was excellent with staff that were attentive but not overbearing. Would definitely return to try more of the menu when next in the area.

This is usually a great place, with acceptable service and food arrives quite quickly. If there is a wait they let you know which is fine. Tonight we waited nearly an hour. No food, no communication with staff. Paid for our drinks and left. They didn’t comment at all. Very poor service.

Delicioussssss. We came last year and returned again this time. Staff were working their hardest and doing a very good job of it. A busy weekend due to Shanty Festival but coped with it all amazingly. We were given a table after a short wait and served efficiently. Pizzas, mac's and sides all as good as we remembered. Delicious food, fresh and super tasty. Cannot fault any of it, we loved it all and would be back again today if we didn't live hours away!! It took a while to get our payment done at the end but I think this was just because the kitchen had closed and the staff were taking a bit of a breather after a busy shift, and we were in no rush so not a problem at all. Staff fab, food lovely. We will return next time too. Thank you!

I love this place its a firm favourite situated right on the Quay overlooking the marina and wider Falmouth estuary. Cold crisp Korev....went down well after a hot sunny day.

Went to the Stable late May 2023 as a family of 4 ! Although the food was good the service was very poor which ruined the general experience! We we’re waiting for our 1st drink over half an hour after arriving! A further drink order didn’t even arrive which they still tried to charge for! This was eventually corrected! The service is as important as the food! Staff not attentive which was a shame! Didn’t seem to be anyone in charge would not recommend!

Good meal and very pleasant staff. Sadly, a large works party spoilt our evening with extremely loud, overbearing behaviour which meant we couldn’t hear each other speak. Other diners were clearly unhappy too and tables quickly emptied. No sign of management who should have been on hand to support the staff and calm things down.

The stables has the atmosphere of a Pizza Express and the clientele consists of middle class people cosplaying as the poor. The staff are unwilling or unable communicate with customers in an adult manner and instead meekly jest and sulk. This sterile and unimaginative environment...

Great pizza and cider - worth a visit when in Falmouth. We went as a group of 6. Pizza menu is great for gluten free and vegan options and absolutely delicious. Good range of sides and dips too. Service pretty good, only minor thing that wasn’t perfect is that the pizzas were slightly cold when they arrived.
