Great views upstairs. Service was excellent. The food was average starters better than mains. Cocktails are very good. If staying in St Ives worth a visit.

Awesome little place, if you sit upstairs by the window you get a fantastic view of the harbour from there,service was 100% and food was delicious. 10% service charge added to the bill but staff earn this 100%

Wow, the half chicken and ribs combo were the best. So well cooked, tender, juicy and tasty. Amazing!!

The lunch special was spot on with a Gin infused with chilli it was perfect. Staff very good and friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely place in St Ives. Licensed bar and hot drinks available. Dog friendly. Lovely friendly staff, prices reasonable but slightly on the high side compared to the other local eateries if you want all the trimmings, all of this was explained clearly when ordering which we appreciated. The mixed grill we both had was amazing 😁, well worth the price paid. Will definitely visit again ☺️.

Been going here for many years and had a break but returned recently. Lunch menu good, food was good value and nice, service fine but why do places still sneak the 10% service charge in the tiniest text hidden on the menu. Now, service was good but you entice us in woth offers, minimum wage exists for a reason and to be honest I hate the awkwardness of this so like many others just accept it. But it's wrong! We don't tip tyre fitters, supermarket workers etc . Also soft drink prices are ridiculous, if you want to charge £4.75 for coke or lemonade feel free but let's have a nice bottle or can, profit margin is still 1000%...

The beef pie £8(!) was incredible value and delicious. As was the portion of greens. Portions so generous I couldn't eat it all.

Visited for a birthday meal on holiday. We each had a starter and main, shared a pudding. Friendly service on arrival and attentive throughout. Couldn’t find a single fault with any course or the drinks. A relaxed atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back when we visit St Ives next, thank you.

Ordered the prawn & crab linguine. At £22 I expected a tasty seafood pasta dish. Total ripoff. The dish was tasteless, dry and bland. Lacking in sauce. Biggest irritant was NO WIFI !

Our first visit and not our last! Delicious food. We started with the Pork Belly, Beef Brisket Crocettes, Ribeye Steaks for mains, cooked to perfection too! Our server Sophie was just fantastic, very attentive and friendly, we could see that we were not the only diners appreciative of her lovely personality. We shall definitely return, thank you 😊

Popped in today with my husband and parents for a quick lunchtime snack. Wow. We were not only impressed with the service and welcoming from the staff, but we were blown away with the quality of the good and the value for money. There was so much food and struggled to finish and the quantity did not in anyway compromise the quality. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back

Went here Saturday night with family. Nice decor & lighting, nice and festive We all enjoyed our meals .lovely seabass, beautiful steak etc..etc The service was good and food was excellent Wud definitely recommend

Excellent food and service. Even for out of season they were very accommodating and attentive. The food was exceptional with a good selection of light ales for hubby to choose from will definitely be visiting again.

We love this restaurant. Everytime we're in St Ives we visit.....it's Dog friendly, staff are great, cocktails superb! (Try the ones with St Ives Rum) and the food, fabulous!

Lovely place and great food, remember you have to pay for the chips as an extra which will bump the price up, but the food was amazing, have been many times as a locals

Landed late on a Sunday night and came across this lovely little buzzing restaurant. Dining alone which is daunting sometimes but the service was so welcoming from the girl behind the bar to the lovely front of house serving me - blonde hair in a pony tail. Very expensive mixed grill, had to order chips as a side portion. Making it £30 , the lasagne was good value and tasted lovely.

Returned after eating here 4 years ago. It didn’t disappoint. 3/4 had steak which was cooked excellently and the chips & greens ordered were delicious. I had the hake laksa. The fish was cooked perfectly and the flavour of the laksa were excellent. We shared sticky toffee pudding which was really tasty and a brownie - also excellent. Service was friendly and efficient but not exceptional.

Spot on food, served in a timley manner, great little place to eat out, shame staff can't great you with a smile on their faces, I suppose we all can't be happy all the time,

Everything was absolutely perfect, the service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately didn’t catch our waitresses name, but she was more than happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. We have been coming to the firehouse for 15yrs .we have always had great food and service whether lunch &dinner, summer or winter. The staff always make us feel welcome and the service is attentive, the food always excellent.

I visited Firehouse with my fiancé and daughter after trailing the harbour front in St Ives for somewhere to eat. Tucked away behind the busy front it’s easy to walk past however I’m glad we didn’t. The staff are brilliant and friendly as soon as you walk in, we were seated promptly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was 10/10 and portion sizes are great after a long day exploring. Overall it’s a fantastic restaurant with brilliant staff, lovely food and a relaxing vibe to settle into.

Would highly recommend! We visited the restaurant with our 14 month old, the staff were fantastic with him! They couldn’t do enough for us even kept picking his dinosaurs off the floor for us haha. Provided him with colouring sheet and crayons to distract him whilst he waited for food. The ladies shown a real interest in him and us. The food was fantastic and the view over the harbour was stunning. Very attentive, polite and friendly staff. Thank you

The food was lovely, nice little restaurant, unfortunately the service was not good, the waitress was quite rude and really abrupt, if you go there you’ll know who I mean.

We had a fantastic experience last night. We were running late to catch some food, and you fitted us in. The food was delicious, with all the sides being top notch. The service however was phenomenal. Sophie is super! She was attentive, funny and made our meal an absolute pleasure. She is a credit to your business.

Have always loved coming here for years and never had a bad meal, tried to book for my dads 69th birthday, 7 adults and my son but they won’t do a table that big, (maximum 6 people per table) will only book us onto two tables and can’t even guarantee they will be close together?! Nor would they book two tables next to each other when I asked? The lady was very abrupt and rude! No way am I risking being sat on another table away from my family for my dads birthday, I’ve never felt so truly let down by a restaurant that I have always spoke highly of and recommend to people, I won’t be coming back, disappointed and upset is an understatement

Staff always excellent and the best Moules Frites I've had anywhere. I ordered a side of bread which was so fresh. Highly recommended 👌

Tried to book a table for a larger group, the Scottish chap who answered the phone was rude. Shame, we’ve eaten there before.

This is by far some of the best food I have ever had. The service was outstanding and the food came quickly we went at 5.10 so it was not full. 10/10 want to go again (the buttermilk ribs were the best ribs I have ever had.)

If you go for lunch the upstairs is understandably closed, however that does mean you have a view of a few roofs

We visited for lunch and dinner on various days during our stay . The quality of service and food is exemplary whether lunch snacks or evening meal. The staff are attentive, polite and friendly. The environment is clean and welcoming. All food is presented well and of high quality.

We stayed in St Ives for a week and visited the Firehouse Bar & Grill twice due to the delicious food and great service! I would highly recommend!

Great place with a lovely vibe to it. Food was really, really good. Be warned that you do have to order sides separately (no chips or veg etc comes as standard with the meal). Staff were busy nattering amongst themselves at the bar, fair enough if it is quiet, however bring as you get a set 10% service charge slapped onto your bill, I personally would rather not see this.

Visited the Firehouse for my Boyfriend’s birthday. Had the Sirloin steak and the sea bass fillets which tasted great and were served piping hot! Recommend the Rhubarb Collins cocktail too 🤩 We were well looked after by our waitress and loved the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant, the views over the harbour upstairs was an added bonus! Visited last night with my husband and son. We booked online for 7 pm and had a warm welcome. We sat upstairs, which was lovely. They have a kids' menu, which is great! My son had nuggets and chips and enjoyed them.. proper chicken bites that we hand battered. I had squid to start which was very small for £8.50 which was disappointing. See pic. The menu doesn't come with sides so ontop of £22 for the chicken/ rib you pay for a side of chips. My husband had the pie which was delicious! My ribs were delicious too but the chicken was very dry! The garlic bread portion was huge and yummie. The service was friendly but food arrived slow. Starters took 40mins and main came 30 mins after this so we waited 1hr 10mins for our main to arrive. I noticed everyone's food was slow tbh, not sure why and no means of apologising for this. All in all, we had a lovely meal. X3 starters, x2 mains, x1 kids meal, x2 sides and a lemonade plus a bottle of wine. £111. With there being so much choice I'm St Ives I perfered Port Meor Beach cafe for dinner with similar prices.

Food arrived quickly. Very tasty chicken and burger. Maybe the burger could have been bigger but it was good for the price. Overall very happy. Also this place is open doing food 12-3 which maybe around aren't

We booked two tables here 1x6 people and 1x4 people and 1x high chair (which we assumed would be put at the end of one of the tables like most other places we've eaten at) When we arrived we were told a high chair had to be put on a chair and so there were not enough seats. The staff weren't interested in adding an additional seat and so we had to leave. Very strange situation. We have visited St Ives many times and eaten here before but have never found the staff very welcoming or friendly. Needless to say we will NOT be returning in here in the future... Would definitely recommend Reef and beef and of course The Hub, very family friendly.

Oh, this place is a gem. Looks like a regular burger & ribs place, but it is so much more. The food is wonderful, their chicken & ribs are absolutely delicious. Big portions, too. My husband & I had the beef brisket croquettes to start, and he then had a house burger. All our food was excellent, house pink was a lovely choice & service was friendly but not overbearing. We have been here twice now, and we can not wait to introduce it to our family when we visit again next year. There are views if you manage to get an upstairs table, too. It's quite busy, but that is totally understandable as it's a great little place to eat when in St. Ives.

Enjoyed a mid week lunch here in June 2024. Service could have been better with us needing to call for a waiter a few times, but the food was excellent. A great atmosphere and super centrally located right in the action of St Ives. If you visit the area well worth checking out .

So this was our last meal before checking out of st Ives and heading on that long journey home. I must say it didn’t disappoint. We went at lunch time and there was only 1 other couple in there, when we left there the place had come alive. Time roughy then was 2ish. The food was amazing and definitely worth going. The muscles were beautiful and could have had even more (says my girlfriend) wouldn’t hesitate about going be here for food.

Possibly one of the most successful restaurants in St Ives, it is easy to see why. Great menu (not all fish fish and more fish), great atmosphere, a good humoured happy team and fabulous plates of food. We both had the Half Rotisory Chicken and sticky toffee pudding, which was our best meal of the week so far. Whatever the chicken had been basted with worked soooooo well! The fact this restaurant is always busy is testament to their consistency in getting things right and maintaining their standards. Book ahead. 5 stars!

Meat lovers beware. You've got the sweats coming. Chicken and ribs was more than ample. The ribs were perfect falling off the bone and the chicken just right with a dusty coat. Great service, good location, good service. More than adequate.

My partner and I went for a meal last night and everything was so nice from the minute we got there to the minute we left A lovely guy greeted us and took us to a nice table upstairs. Our waitress was Sophie (from Wigan). Such a pleasant girl with all the guests she served. All the staff worked as a team and both drinks and food was served in a timely manner. The food was delicious We both had Mackeral pate to start, for mains I had seabass and my partner had steak. For dessert my partner had sticky toffee pudding and I had crème brûlée 🍮 It was such a pleasant experience - well done 👍

Twice I swore the first mouthful of food because of how amazing it was. Pork Belly - so charred to perfection Seabass - perfectly crispy skin, flavour, moisture, perfection Steak - Charred and cooked to perfection Brownie - so many chocolate chips Chili Gin - What the...I would never buy a bottle because what would I do with it, but Firehouse turn it into the actual perfect drink. No idea how, but it's pure magic. My actual highlight of St Ives. Service was out of this world. tl;dr: the food and service match (if not better) that of Hawksmoor in London. It perfectly balances amazing food with casualness and dog friendliness with a selection of gin that's out of this world. Go here.

Decided to pop in for dinner one evening during our stay in nearby Carbis Bay. Hadn't booked as it was a spur of the moment decision but upon arriving the staff checked and there was a table spare for the three of us. Nice atmosphere and our servers were friendly and attentive but not overly so. Ordered our drinks while deciding our food choices from the various options on the menu. I had the brisket croquettes for starter and the crab linguine with a side of fries for my main, my wife had crispy squid followed by the chargrilled sea bass and my daughter had garlic bread then the crispy chicken burger. Everything was delicious and portions were generous especially the linguine, I almost couldn't finish the extra fries I'd ordered. We decided to have a look at the desert menu and my daughter chose the sticky toffee pudding, the wife and I couldn't est anymore so I chose to finish with a coffee liqueur with baileys and the wife had a latte. Everything we had was lovely and want to thank the staff for accommodating us with no prior booking, left an extra tip as we couldn't add it to our final bill and had had such a great night.

Food ok, nice décor, good staff, great views, tad expensive

We called in here to shelter from the wind and rain and grab a bite to eat and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. All of the food was incredibly presented, tasted amazing and the portions were very generous including the kids meals. The two staff members that were on service were very helpful, friendly and responsive. They even brought water for our dog without us having to prompt or ask. We would highly recommend visiting here.

Some great views of the bay if seated at the back. Food was amazing and great price.

Great food, great drinks, great view. Staff slightly tardy, but also was fairly busy. House specials - brisket mac'n'cheese was to die for. Rotisserie chicken good. Sea bass lovely. Would come again.

Really enjoyed the food here, I had the mixed grill, which was amazing and very filling. My dining partners really enjoyed their food, including the Steak and ale pie. Nice range of drinks as well. Good location and great ambience and decor, service was excellent especially the posh Wigan waitress. Would definitely return on our next visit to St Ives.

We were welcomed along eith our two dogs which is always a bonus! Excellent food and buzzing atmosphere.

Sadly wouldn't accommodate a large family party due to a misunderstanding with including a baby in on the numbers. Just needed one more chair...no it couldn't be done apparently. Food looks good on pictures, unfortunately I am unable to comment as didn't get chance to eat anything there.

We were lucky to be seated upstairs in one of the two window seats. The views are stunning and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Food was spot on and prices very reasonable. Staff were all friendly and welcoming.

Great and quick service, delicious food and a beautiful view of the harbour, what else do you want... I recommend booking earlier like at 6:30 to 7:00 to get a windowside table upstairs for the best view!

It would have been a five star but we got nasty surprise with the check. We gave a 10% tip but realised later the bill was quite high. So we took a better look and a 10% service charge was added. This was not mentioned anywhere!

Not bad food quite pricey for what you get.

There's certainly nothing bad I could say about this place. We had a fantastic table after my fiance booked in advance and left a note to say we were visiting for a date night. The food was yummy, service was nice and efficient. I had a lovely time it was a great night. All that being said, I think you could achieve similar on a lower budget elsewhere in st Ives. It wasn't crazy expensive at all though, and the presentation of the food certainly goes a little way towards justifying the price.
