Such a lovely and cozy pub! Always busy on Sunday

Amazing food! We had a Sunday roast and pudding, it was the best we have had in a very long time. Despite it being very busy, service was excellent and very fast. A great atmosphere too, we would’ve stayed for longer but there’s no TV screens for the football.

Excellent. We travel 35 minutes to eat here. It's our special occasion pub!

This is not Haute Cuisine, but the service is excellent. The menu, Sunday Roasts is typical pub fare. I sat in the conservatory by the southern window and was dazzled by the sun. It needs some blinds on that side. It is a popular place for families so be prepared for toddlers to be running around. There is no toilet in the conservatory, you have to go outside and then enter the pub proper. Big car park.

A fantastic pub. A few of us searched for a dog friendly pub, for a catch up. Definitely a good find. Great food. Attentive staff. If we're in the area again, we'll certainly be back

It’s always a joy to be here. Kids have a great time in the garden and park. Food always good. Pizzas amazing. Staff are super friendly.

Food was ok but not great. Over priced even the diet coke tasted like coke zero/or cheap diet coke.

Very nice place , more a restaurant than a pub . Food and service good and really liked the potatoes! Found the pudding a bit stodgy for me . Seems to attract an older crowd but would go again in warmer weather to enjoy the outside area

Had a really lovely meal with family, There were a few minor issues with spices and misunderstanding with our orders but I have to say the issues were all sorted without any fuss! And the staff were very friendly! All in all we had a really nice evening! We will return I’m sure!😊

Five of us were booked in for lunch. All of us bar one opted for roasts and they all appeared to have a smokey/BBQ taste, even the vegetables. We mentioned it to our server and she hadn’t received similar comments from others. I’m not sure it was because we were one of, if not the first to be served our roast dinners. It has unfortunately put us off returning for a roast dinner. The desserts however were very nice.

Found this tonight, love the name, lovely pub and food.

First visit here and loved it, great staff and brilliant vibe and atmosphere. Bar food was fab,delicious chips,nachos etc, good drinks, they have a brilliant event area too which was perfect.

I went for a family meal and found all the staff really friendly and super helpful

Wow, just wow… The Spotted Cow is tucked away in a scheduled area that you think a restaurant would be. This is a must visit place for all the die hard food fans. From the moment you walk in to being greeted to the table service is exceptional. The food is quite simply incredible and is not over priced for the quality of food on offer. I will be returning with other members of my family, so that they can taste the amazing food on offer. I would advise to book before arriving as it is very popular.

Great pub, food good all round, particularly impressed by the Italian items on the menu. I’d come back for the pizza alone.

What an absolutely stunning place in a beautiful setting.😍 The service was impeccable.👌 The atmosphere was warm and inviting. ❤️ There is parking and a lovely conservatory. 🚗 A great children's play area (take spare clothes in winter, they get rather muddy!) 🛝 Our only issue was with the roast potatoes 🥔 They were more boiled potatoes than roast potatoes. Otherwise, the food was yummy 😋 Highly recommend this place 👌

Lovely little out of the way pub

Very much needing updating and modernising. Just look at the carpet in the conservatory. Ordered a “large Dover sole” at a big price, and it was tiny….more like a lemon sole. Very disappointing, as I knew it years ago and it was great.

Great spot. Also nice walks in the woods near. Dropped in on Saturday and let me park my car in the car park before a walk and then went back in for a drink. Really well run

We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing lunch today! We arrived before opening after our dog walk and we were welcomed with a warm, polite service and offered a drink before the kitchen opened. We enjoyed the fish and chips as well as the pie of the day which was delicious! The pudding menu looked scrumptious, we were too full to try, though we will definitely return to try the eton mess and banoffee pie! Maybe even the lemon meringue pie 😋 Highly recommend after a long walk around Bourne Woods!

The best mushroom risotto ever! Wow! Always fabulous service from the fantastic lovely staff. The steaks superb and the risotto amazing ….. well done guys ! We so love coming here.

Service at Saturday lunchtime good but the food was disappointing. Also overpriced compared to other pubs and restaurants in the area.

Came on a Saturday afternoon, lovely outside space to enjoy lunch in the late summer sun. The food was lovely and the service was excellent, we were very well looked after. They had their usual menu as well as some daily specials. I had the pie and it was lovely. They had well kept ale. The pub itself is a little small, but with the outdoor seating area which had a retractable roof for the summer weather makes it much bigger than it once was.

Warm, friendly, cosy gastropub. Never fails to impress on quality. I've had the belly of pork the last three visits, it's that good! Recently had an OUTSTANDING lunch. I was in food heaven. Try the starter of scallops on a bed of black pudding and pea puree. Mmmmmm. Just been again for Sunday lunch. Reassuringly expensive. Very well presented Sunday roast. Beef was spot on. Especially liked the big Yorkshire pudding with a pinch of crispy onions on top. Red cabbage was beautifully sweet and vinegary. Cauliflower cheese is an extra but worth getting one to share because it's wonderfully cheesy. We all wanted a pudding but we were too full.

Amazing Sunday roasts and desserts. I love the Eton mess. The beef was slightly chewy. But overall it's a great place to go to. I recommend it.

Had the Lamb rump mmmmm gluten free. Ice cream for pudding. Table service was very good

We were staying nearby and needed somewhere to go for our evening meal. Really pleased to have found the Spotted Cow. Good location good food and good staff. I had a Pizza and my partner went for the Salmon both were delicious.

Great little pub with really tasty food and dog friendly too. Only downside is that it gets busy so service is a little slow however still a great pub and would definitely recommend.

The chips a little overcooked but still a nice lunch and nice setting.

Great pizzas!! We had a Quattro Formaggio and a children's pizza. Both were great. The child's pizza came with the dough extended to have bunny ears which kept my daughter very happy! The dining area is very nice and there were plenty of lovely flowers outside the windows to add a lovely backdrop. Service was really good, the waiter (Italian chap I think) was very friendly and made us feel very welcome after a long walk!

Highly recommend this place for Sunday Roast. I had the crackling pork belly. Very delicious and big Yorkshire Pudding. The ambiance was amazing. We were late due to traffic but the staff were very accommodating with our request to sit outside in the sun.

Went for lunch on Saturday. Packed and very busy. Very noisy. Turn hearing aids off loud. Good for business not for chatting. Good number of staff on duty. All pleasant and busy. Waited for 40 minutes for food. Expected. Had pie mash and ' veg in season ' . Being from Up North , and ex- cook ,I was surprised by veg portion. A straggely stalk of broccoli and half a carrot cut into three pieces,a portion of vegetable it ain't. All al dente. Wouldn't cut it up here folks. Not would cheesecake and cream,and getting charged for the flippin cream, separately. Pie filling very tasty, pastry a bit tough. Carverys may be for the troughing masses but you get a decent veg portion. Maybe an even nicer experience on a quieter day.

Very large therefore quite impersonal. Don't go if you are looking for a country pub. Otherwise very good.

Great food. Very reasonable prices for excellent food. Eclectic menu ,thoughtfully constructed. A little slow on the service but friendly efficient staff. Best in the area for ambience, food and service.

Difficult to get waiters attention, portions tiny. Rump of lamb was bite sized although delicious., just needed more of it. If it was called rack of lamb it would more aptly be called lack of lamb

Lovely out of the way place, a great place to eat lunch or dinner. There's a lovely outdoor space under a large mechanical cover. Menu is good but much in line with many other pubs these days. However, it's full of favourites and well cooked. Service was very friendly and efficient.

Very good food last night, particularly the beef stroganoff special and the Chaos beer is to be recommended even if it's a funny colour.😂

I don't typically trust pubs when it comes to Sunday roasts but I think I've been turned. The roast pork belly was too notch as were the sides. Very attentive service and nice drinks. All in all a very pleasant visit and will be back.

They have two disabled parking spaces, but no disabled toilets and no access for wheel chairs

We arrived here at about 2pm last Sunday when it was a nice day but not too hot. The pub was busy but not packed so we found a table (in the corner of the patio to keep our two dogs out of the way). The serving staff were all busy but generally very attentive without being over the top. The food was incredible, hubby had the roast pork belly which he said was cooked perfectly and the veg all cooked well too. He had a huge Yorkshire pudding too. I decided to have the steak & Ale pie with mash and veg. The pie was fabulous - pastry cooked perfectly and plenty of filling, with steak you cut like butter. Eton Mess dessert so lovely and same for hubby's cheesecake. The only reason I marked the service as 3* was that we were overlooked in favour of the couple who arrived after us when we wanted to order our drinks, main meals and then a long wait to pay. We felt that this was because the couple appeared to be of "upper class" whereas we are just normal people. Despite this, we plan to return both as a couple, and then with friends because of the relaxed atmosphere, beautiful food set at a good pricing level, lovely setting and generally great staff.

Disappointed! Sunday roast was mediocre at best. Service was quick, waiting staff were very nice... sadly didn't make up for the Manager..no welcome, no thanks for coming, no sense of him giving a second thought to making our experience anything more than... well... nothing! Won't go back and certainly won't recommend. Go somewhere else!

This pub serves great pub food but is also well known for pizzas. I enjoy it and the location is awesome.

First visit for myself, but my wife has been on numerous occasions, can’t fault the food or service. Excellent linguini and the pizzas are too quality too. Waiting staff were attentive and service was quick and efficient. We will be back soon. Thanks

Had very disappointing dinner here tonight. My friend and I, we both have ordered a salad with extra portion of salmon each. The salmon was very dry and very little of it! It looked like one portion of salmon was split between two of us. We only had one desert to share: the lemon meringue pie. It was very dry and we both have tried it but still sent back half of the cake. It looked like it was leftover from previous weekend. (I love cake and it has never happened to me, that I have not finished it all!) As we have complained, they gave us 10% off the bill which was a nice gesture but still I was very disappointed with my Spotted Cow experience this evening. Usually, they are fantastic. What has happened? Please be as careful with the food your serve mid-week like you are the the weekend. Hope this is not your new standard....

We hadn't been to visit for 30 years. Met friends for dinner. Very busy, kids running everywhere, food good but a little pricey. We felt it had lost its charm.

Great food and lovely place for a celebration. Outdoor seating in summer. Worth the drive. Staff will do anything to ensure a pleasant experience. Kids welcome.

Great pub nestled away in the corner of "Farnham". I find this a great place to stop for a drink and enjoy the beer garden on a sunny afternoon. Equally we have been here for food several times and the service and quality have always been excellent. Food is always excellent and well presented and there is enough variety on the menu for everyone. They also cook their own fresh pizzas using the pizza oven. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Superb food and a glorious setup. Great outdoor seating with a playground for the little ones. One of the best lamb koftas I ever had, and the veal is out of this world.👌 A MUST place to visit when in or around Farnham! 🤤

We had a lovely lunch at the Spotted Cow today. The food was both beautifully presented and very tasty. The staff are very attentive and pleasant. The venue itself is in a really lovely and secluded spot in the woods with lots of seating options. The outdoor conservatory area has a retractable roof. All in all a very pleasant afternoon and worth the drive to get to. We will be back. It is a dog friendly venue.

Went to spotted cow today for dinner and the staff Courtney, sammy, Sarah and tia were absolutely amazing they all couldn’t do enough for us the chicken New Yorker was fantastic very tasty and huge!!!! Couldn’t finish it excellent portions, well done girls thanks for making our dining experience special

Fantastic atmosphere for our party of 10. Ella and Simona were lovely servers - big shoutout to them! A number of us really enjoyed the huge portion of fish, with triple cooked chips! A lovely pub, with a high end feel.

I have to put 5 stars because it's exactly what you'd expect of a pub/restaurant in a location as you'd find this. Great walking routes, with a great ending 👏 We had a family reunion (after 15 years) and thougrouly enjoyed our meal. We were well catered for and nothing was beyond the service required. Simone was our host and was amazing 👏 thank you 😊
