We had a really tastey Sunday carvery, the beef was delicious and very tender, there was a lot of vegatables to choose from and the gravy was excellent.

Went here for a tribute night with a group of friends. Unfortunately, there was a poor turnout. The singer was a great tribute act to Michael Buble. The food which was included with the ticket, consisted of 2 small, fairly dried up roast beef slices, which were put into a nice tasting bun and a small amount of roast potato pieces, which were either almost burnt, or were undercooked. The staff were all lovely, but the venue was cold and the toilets positively freezing. It was a shame this event was not well supported, to do justice to the tribute singer, and the DJs.

This has to be the worst place I have had Sunday lunch, to start, cold plates, barely warm food that has obviously been standing there for a while, very little taste, couldn’t eat mine so left just as hungry

It was a lovely layout inside of the crazy golf but the place was completely empty. The equipment was great and the course was only small, meaning it was easy to find your way around. My brother had a go at the driving range and said that it was good, its a shame that its so far away, as the facilities are great, even though we were told that some parts weren't working, such as the simulator. Overall though it was a good time.

We visit here often. We use the crazy golf course in school holidays, my husband uses the football pitch once a week with friends and 2 of my children take weekly football lessons here too. The golf part is a hidden treasure. Keeps the kids amused for a good while even my 3 yr old joins in and has fun. It's kept tidy. £10 for a family of 4...can't grumble for that! My only grumble with the footy dome is its absolutely freezing in winter. It's actually warmer outside! I might be wrong but i think i remember it boasting that its heated when it first opened but thats not the case now. It would be a great facility to use over the winter months to save playing/standing around outdoors in a freezing field but to be honest theres no difference now. Theres a good out door playground for kids but there are 2 death trap trampolines built into the floor that have no drainage and are permanently filled with water. Its only a matter of time before a kid falls into it and drowns! The kids parties are good. We have attended a few and the kids always come away happy. Aside from its few negatives i have to say that the staff are a credit to the place. You barely make it through the door before you are greeted by whoever is behind the desk and they are always walking through the pitch area and checking on things. Have never seen a miserable member of staff in the place.

Went here for a game of crazy golf (but there's also driving range, simulator & putting green) after hearing from a friend that it's here. I've lived in the local area all my life & didn't even know it existed till a week ago, tried to get info online & nothing but one page with very little info on, no opening times, where it is etc. We got a family pass for the 9 hole crazy golf which was £10.00, as was quiet could've gone round as many times as we wanted. Then a game of table football and then there some dancefloor type games which were free to access. Think they do food at the adjoining bar but was hard to tell if open (but we hadn't come for food anyway). There was also a bar and tables but the bar was not open/pumps not on. Only a small number of people in. I feel this place has such potential if it got a little more TLC/attention and advertising :/

I attended a friend's Christening this Sunday (13th August) and I don't normally leave reviews online but I was so flabbergasted by the service I recieved that I had to create an account just to give this feedback. I would like to start by saying that the room was beautiful and for the start of the party things were perfect. The waitressing staff were efficient and cleared the tables, cleaned the place and made sure everyone was okay. I approached the bar to order myself a drink and was served by a young boy who could not have been older than nineteen. He was wearing a shirt and tie and I'm certain he was the only male member of staff behind the bar although I could be wrong. He was rude from the word go however when I attempted to order myself a malibu and coke I couldn't believe what I heard next. He asked me for ID at which point I laughed, I'm in my thirties and had my three children with me, I can't even remember the last time someone asked me for an ID. The boy refused me service because I didn't have a form of ID on me ( I mean why would i?!) and then walked away, leaving me at the bar in shock. A few moments later the women working behind the bar asked me what the problem was and all of them were equally as surprised as myself, one of them even burst out laughing. One of the girls (also in a shirt and tie) apologised on behalf of the boy and made me my drink which I appreciated but his attitude and rudeness had already put me in quite a bad mood. Throughout the christening I could see him and hear him behind the bar, swearing loudly at other members of staff and speaking to his colleagues in a way that I didn't fine appropriate, ESPECIALLY when there was young children everywhere. The icing on the cake had to be when he answered his phone behind the bar and proceeded to have a loud, aggresive arguement with someone, possibly a friend? He eventually took the phone call away from the bar and through a door but he was shouting and swearing so loud you could hear everything! I really can't believe what I witnessed on Sunday and more so, can't believe the kind of person the domes has representing them. Every other bar staff was friendly, polite and approachable but the boy was truly unpleasant with a serious attitude problem. What a shame that something like this had to sour what could have been a great afternoon with family. Like I say, I don't normally write reviews but after what I saw this week I needed to let the company and other people know. Please do something about this Domes!

Lovely eating area, nicely spaced tables plenty of room to walk round with plate of food. Staff very friendly, readily available to help with anything. Carvery very tasty 3 meats to choose from and lovely fresh veg, instead of all frozen like other places. Best gravy over large yorkshire wish i lived near here as food is great and the price so cheap. Only gripe the pork was a bit too fatty and the ice cream portion so large struggled to eat it . Lol. Will be back when up north again wish it was this good down south.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Domes on 21st May 2016. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we are so glad we chose this venue. The function room itself is lovely - it has a spectacular chandelier in the centre of the room that really sets the right tone and atmosphere. The room itself is spacious with a large bar and can accommodate probably up to 150 guests; we had around 100. There is also a smaller adjoining room with a separate bar that can be used for wedding-related activities or entertainments, or even for more guest tables if needed. We used this room to house the buffet and in the other half we had an indoor bouncy castle set up for the children, which was a huge hit on the night. The staff at the Domes are so friendly and helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. Maxine was great during the planning and making the arrangements for us. I kept changing the guest numbers on the run up, but each time she accommodated the changes without any fuss. Abby and Beth prepared the room for us and did a wonderful job. It was exactly what we wanted, we were so pleased with the result. The serving staff on the night were also excellent. The drinks kept flowing, empty glasses were quietly and efficiently collected and the bar staff ensured there was never a queue to get served. We decided on the exclusive buffet for the meal choice and we were not disappointed. The food was really well presented, was very high quality and so many guests remarked to us afterwards how delicious it was. The chefs Richard and Jordan really outdid themselves, well done guys! All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the Domes made our reception so special for us, we cannot thank them enough. If anyone is looking for a wedding reception in the Hartlepool area, please go visit the Domes and see what they have to offer. We whole-heartedly recommend them.

I went here with my family last week for the Sunday Carvery and have to say I was very impressed! The food was absolutely delicious and the chef was a very funny man, making conversation with all the people there. The lady who served me and my husband at the bar (I assume was the manager as was dressed differently to everyone else) was lovely, very polite and friendly and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. One of the younger girls showed us to a table and she was also very polite. The food was great, the service was amazing and I would definitely dine here with my family again. On top of all of this it was incredible value for money, only £6 for a dinner. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

I dined at the The Sports Domes today with my family for Mother's Day. When we arrived we were told that the table we had booked the week before was not ready. We were left standing about at the bar. After a good 10 mins my elderly parents were in need of a sit down so I approached a member of staff to ask if we could be given another table. Eventually we were seated by a couple of what appeared to be school leavers. Although the carvery was ok the plates were very small and you had to pile your food up in order to fit it on your plate. After finishing our meal we waited a very long time before a member of staff cleared the table and took our order for dessert (its no wonder people are having to wait around for their table with service this slow!!). Options for desserts were minimal (ice cream or apple crumble?). I was unable to eat my apple crumble as the whole thing was cold and the crumble was hard! When one of the school leavers eventually came to ask if everything was ok I told her "no my apple crumble was more like apple rock and it wasn't very nice". She just shrugged her shoulders and continued to clear the table. Why ask me? It was clear she didn't care what I thought. My advice would be to employ more senior members of staff who have more care and consideration for the diners and who can bring some organisational skills to erase the chaos that is happening at the moment. The young school leavers that are employed at the moment appear to enjoy standing around in a group behind the bar talking amongst themselves rather than looking after the customer.

Offers the usual Sunday carvery roast lunch which isn't really any worse or better than similar offerings from other establishments. Lets face it how long can the veg last in the warmer before it turns to mush! The meat was pretty good though and when I asked the Chef where he gets the beef from his response of 'cows mainly' raised a few chuckles. The upstairs dining room itself is a big open room and lacks a bit of atmosphere compared to traditional pubs and restaurants. Not much choice in draft beers and lagers when we visited. Still reasonable value at two meals for £12.

Had 2 parties here for both my son's birthdays in the last year. First one was the VIP football package. Great value for money. The ref was absolutely brilliant at his job and kept a group of 6 year old's interested and excited the whole time! The food was pretty average but to be honest I don't think the boys would have noticed! Would recommend this package. The only downside to this experience was the staff on reception. We found them to be unhelpful and unfriendly. It's a shame as it was otherwise a great experience. It was pretty much the same at our older son's party which we celebrated more recently. With exception to the ref (the same as at previous party), the staff were disinterested and off hand. They were more interested in sitting watching the tv in there!!!

This place seems to be listed as just a restaurant but in addition to the bars and food there is lots of other things on one site but its not very well advertised or organised it would seem.We have been a few times to the golf dome to play adventure golf but there is also a soccer dome which looks like it hosts lots of kids football and football parties. There is also a gym too. Its supposed to be run by JD sports but the place is somewhat unfinished. The golf dome has a socialising area with a cafe and bar along with some pool tables none of which ever seem to be used or open, it looks like there was also a golf shop at some point but its long since closed. There is 4 golf driving simulators which i believe they offer coaching sessions using these simulators but the main draw seems to be the indoor driving range. Not much of a golf fan but this looks good and always seems to have people playing. We went for the adventure golf, a 9 hole very well laid out indoor course for all the family. It costs £4 per adult and £2 per child but there was a sign at the end saying you could have another round for £1 each which seems fair. The course itself is very well laid out and has some good obstacles which makes it really fun for all the family but disappointingly people seem to bash the rocks with the golf clubs which spoils this great facility, I wish they would advertise this place as its a great addition to the local area most people don't know about.

Was there with gf and son,we where the 2nd family in first time we had visited and will be last. When we sat down to a table the cutlery was dirty so asked to get a new one and was told what we had to do so bought the sunday carvary and 3 drinks my gf and her son asked for glasses for there drink when given them they looked dirty and gf didnt use it. When we where getting the food i noticed the foil was still on one of meats and when i sat down with gf and her son we where eating the food but all the food was cold same as environment. So when we had finished my gf son told me that he had found foil on his plate. So when the young girl came to take our plates i told her about it but got no response. After that i went to bar as no one seemed bothered i waited at bar for at least 10 mins before anyone spoke to me. When i finally got a response i spoke to what seemed to be a young lady who seemed to be in charge. But there didnt seem to be any professionalism from them. They all seemed to stand at end of bar chatting. All the mirrors around area seemed dirty and hadnt been cleaned properly. In end got money back and left. We where all disappointed with the cold temperature inside and poor service and food was warmer outside than inside. Wouldnt reccomend it at all.

We were the first customers for the morning, but that was at 10am, which isn't that early. The employee didn't seemed overly happy we where there. I'm not sure if it was because it was early, or he was just not interested in his job.We played on the driving range, 100 balls for 5 pound (I think it's good value). We didn't have to hire clubs. We have to get tees, but had to ask for them instead of being offered. We wanted to buy juice, but the cafe didn't have anything except a few cans of soft drink. When I asked about gift vouchers, I had to prompt the employee to tell me all the information regarding the terms and conditions. The golf dome isn't just a driving range, it has golf simulators, a mini-golf course, cafe, pool tables...so I wanted to know all the inclusions. I walked off feeling like I'd distracted the employee from something more important even though there was only three people at the Dome.Unfortunately, I might have to go there again in the future as it's the only indoor golf range in the area.

Now open for Sunday lunch we decided to give the Domes a visit on the opening day.Although it was a bit hectic and only a couple of staff seemed to know what they were doing we still managed to enjoy a decent meal. Week two of the Sunday carvery 2 for £10 did see some improvements so hopefully will improve as the weeks progress and the staff gain experience. The chef heading the carvery deserves a medal as he was constantly running around. The negatives were that you paid before you eat which is difficult to know if you will have room for the desserts on offer!! And the plates are too small which gives the impression that your plates piled too high. We will certainly go back.
