Foods lovely now and staff are fantastic highly recommend!

Great menu. 1 GF had steak, and granddaughter is DF had sausages, peas and chips. All tasted great and a fab price. Waiter/barman .. a decent bloke as well.

Went for a change to see what it was like had surf and turf the scampi was ok the steak awful full of sinu hard to cut and no taste whatsoever also cold cheap cut of steak sold at a decent cut of steak price we should know what a steak should be other half a chef won't be returning

Came for Sunday lunch. Had beef and turkey. Food was served lukewarm. No cranberry or horseradish served despite being described on menu. No one came back to ask if ok. Location nice, servers pleasant. A young man cleared our plates and we told him about the issues, he just apologised. Food needs to be hot!

Had Sunday Roast for me and my wife. On their website, they boast that theirs is the best in Hartlepool. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The carrots were raw (not sure they even saw a pan of boiled water), the chicken was dry, and they forgot my roast potatoes. When my roast potatoes came after asking for them, they were burnt on each half. The mash potato didn't seem to have any butter or milk/cream in it, just potato. Menu says it comes with cranberry sauce, but neither of ours had any. Everything was just bland, dry, tasteless, and boring with no seasoning. Even the gravy had no taste with no meat juices, etc., tasted instant. The best bit was the stuffing and Yorkshire puds. I think they need to change their website to say the most boring and bland Sunday roast in Hartlepool. If you want a great roast at a good price, I would suggest Portals Place just down the road. We normally go there, but they were fully booked, which tells you everything, especially when the Jacksons Wharf was over half empty. I don't post a lot of reviews, but I felt I had to on this occasion after such poor food. Won't be going here again.

Lovely pub, good atmosphere and very popular. Love the fact we can chill out as there’s NO FOOTBALL!! Which has ruined many other pub restaurants, good on the manager for removing the tvs and giving families a safe place to go.

Jackson's Wharf is one of my favourite pubs to visit with such a lovely outdoor seating area and view . Staff are very friendly and attentive.

I visited the pub on a Saturday evening with two friends. We all ordered both drinks and food (no complaints about the quality of either) at the bar (staffed by 2 young staff) only to be interrupted by a lady (seemed to be land lady/ manager) shouting at the young female staff member and pointing her finger. Definitely put us off as well as clearly upset the younger female member off staff.

Very good quality food and service, one of the better establishments within the area. Certainly, well worth further visits. Keep up the good work, and don't let the standard slip as others have.

Went to Jackson’s for our dinner today not been for a while as food got terrible Got told that it has improved a lot so off we went on arriving it was quite with background music Lady behind bar was nice and friendly My partner got gammon chips fried egg and peas all fresh and came piping hot I got cheddar and leek pie proper home made chips and peas and I must say it was lovely it was also fresh and pipping hot Pub was warm with a nice atmosphere so taking the buy one get one free menu off has done wonders Will deffo be back

There was my mam and I. We both had separate meals. My mam had the small scampi & chips and I had the regular mixed grill. My mam was missing peas on her meal and the egg on my meal was very runny and Could have done with an extra minute. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Always enjoy my visits, with a good selection of bar food, plenty of zero alcohol drinks options, and friendly staff what's not to like? Lovely setting at the side of the Marina with views of the Trincomalee, and easy free parking.

This is a friendly and customer oriented pub, serving a great choice of drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic, and coffees. There is a comprehensive menu serving meals at value for money prices. Sunday lunches are also served, and are great value and good size portions, with freshly prepared vegetables. The pub is dog friendly and welcomes well behaved pets. There is also an outdoor seating area, which in the summer months, is a real sun trap. It is a must to visit.

My family and I enjoyed a nice meal today. I am a bit of a fussy eater; after speaking with Claire, who was warm and very accommodating and even allowed me to go off menu to cater to my awkwardness. The service was very good and food prepared as requested. We can't fault anything and we'll definitely be going back again.

Food was great and very affordable, I had an Ultimate southern fried Chicken burger and it was Banging! The staff were great and very helpful. It was lovely and warm with a friendly atmosphere.

The tables were set lovely and we were looked after by all your staff .The food was lovely and we all enjoyed ourselves .It's the first time we all decided to eat out on Christmas day as everyone usually comes to my house but due to my mum dying a couple of months ago we didn't think it would be a good idea to have dinner at home .I was bit bit worried what it would be like but when we all arrived it felt right .you made us feel welcome and everyone had a lovely time .Thank you very much for getting us through what could of been a very hard day .Compliments to the your chef and we would like to wish you all a Happy New Year !

Xmas Dinner was a no frills xmas lunch. My dinner was cold and disappointing for a xmas lunch. No pigs in blankets no cranberry sauce. Just a very basic sunday lunch which you wouldn't expect on a xmas dinner. All turkey dinner was only just warm to eat. This is not what you would expect at all for the cost they charge gor xmas lunch. I had to ask for gravy several times and twice for our deserts which took over half an hour to come out. Only got asked for drinks once on arrival and this was supposed to be table service meal. A very tastless and basic lunch to say the least. For a small group we were definitely forgotten about in all aspects during our meal. Unlucky i guess. I doubt ill ever visit again. Waiting on staff could look a bit more appropriately dressed than seeing the young girls backsides when they bend over. Skirts just covering there rear. So inappropriate and inexperienced staff staff no happy xmas atmosphere at all. To top it off and what a put off was to be asked inside a xmascard to tip the staff as they are giving up there xmas to serve us. What a cheeck. Wouldn't mind if the service was good and the food could of been far nicer experience eating out on xmas day. Very dissapointing for us on this occasion.

I live at the marina so it’s a short walk for me. I’ve been with family for Christmas but came out for some fresh air and decided to pop in for a drink. For a single person it’s a relaxing place to come to without feeling out of place, and through the day you have a view over the marina. The young man called Clayton who served me twice was very pleasant. 🥳

As admin for Hartlepool Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club, Jacksons Wharf have hosted us for the last two years. It’s a great venue, with fantastic staff. They go out of their way to help us make our club as good as it can be with great food and drinks. Their support is amazing! I’d recommend anyone to check it out for a great place to relax with friends and receive a warm welcome.

Have never seen so much food on a plate in one go. I didn't know whether to eat or climb. The best value for money ( even though it defeated me ) I have ever known. If you're looking for a Xmas menu then this is definitely the place to book you won't be disappointed

I recently visited Jacksons Wharf in Hartlepool for a Sunday lunch date, and I can’t recommend it enough! I ordered the Roast Beef, which came with a homemade Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, and horseradish sauce. It was absolutely delicious – the beef was tender, the potatoes were fluffy and crispy, and the seasonal vegetables were cooked to perfection. The gravy tied everything together beautifully. What really made the experience stand out was the fantastic service from Tim and Claire. They were so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, which made the meal even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a welcoming place with amazing food and top-notch service, Jacksons Wharf is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back!

Great pub by the marina. We were lucky enough to see the swans the day we visited. Even though the weather was awful outside it was lovely and cosy inside the food was great and the staff were lovely and helpful. We'll definitely be back with the dog.

We've been only a couple of times and taken family too when visiting. It's a nice pub with a good choice of food which is tasty and good value for money. My only fear is that it never seems busy so worry it'll be closed before soon which would be a terrible shame as uts a lovely pub. Hopefully the opening of the new leisure centre will help it. I'd give it 5 stars if they had my favourite cocktail 'Old Fashioned ' on the menu...

Very nice place for the family or just a couple

I went with my daughter as a midweek treat. We both had the steak . It was cooked exactly as we asked. The deserts were a delight. The young lady that served us was a lovely lass. I will definitely go again. 2 years ago I gave a bad review for this place but now it's an absolute pleasure

Went to watch The 58 Jazz Collective play, which was fantastic. The pub is spacious, clean and bright, with attentive, helpful staff. I'll certainly be visiting again, not least of all to see the next gig on the 8th December!

Very nice views, this place stands right after Hartlepool museum and it's sunny here in the morning and afternoon. I've ordered pint Moretti, surf turf steak and tomato soup. The soup was great! served with bread and butter. When the mains come, I didn't really enjoyed the fillet. It was too dry and not good. But I really got excited from chips and onion rings. They are perfectly crispy and cooked nice! I recommend this place as a nice pub, the atmosphere is really good.

Jacksons is a great pub, with a friendly atmosphere, the staff are always pleasant and ready to help, we love this pub, the food was served, quickly and came up trumps, at a reasonable price, with the added bonus of a generous 30% off the bill which was great because we are pensioners 👍🏻👍🏻 thank you.

Food is good for what it is and is really reasonably priced when discounts on. My only suggestion would be more choice when it comes to healthier options.

Came in yesterday with my Mum to celebrate her birthday as it’s our favourite place got food and atmosphere and once again the Jackson’s team did not disappoint they had just put up all their decorations for Halloween and the place looks great their team are an asset and should all be really proud of what they’re doing. Keep it up will definitely be back.

We have visited this pub on several locations we only live 10 mins away but the hospitality and warm welcome you get is fab. We come as a couple and it's a lovely chilled out vibe on the terrace in the shadow of the Trimcomalee and overlooking the marina. Even better when the sun is shining. When we come with our daughter the staff are fab on one occasion they even provided non alcoholic shots for our daughter (to make her feel included) when we had one in celebration of our friends birthday. We love it and can only hope we come to the Halloween and Xmas parties we missed out on last year. Our favourite go to pub 😀

Love this place, fabulous customer service, really filling Food, dog friendly snacks and water, beautiful situation by the water, pool table and jukebox are lovely additions without being overwhelming.

Very tired looking now and dirty considering the pub had just opened. Not very happy staff when they did appear. Window sill rotten with cobwebs and dead flies. Expensive compared to restaurant next door that serves freshly cooked food daily.

Lovely venue, usually quiet, so the staff must be conditioned to only work at a leisurely pace. There must be other duties to be fulfilled as service at the bar doesn't seem to be the highest priority, having recently stood at the bar 5 minutes before seeking out staff and that was when the place was quiet. Unfortunately the staff can't Manage when an event draws in more than their regular low numbers. Having to queue behind a dozen people just to order a drink may be understandable once, until extra staff can be mustered behind the bar but watching staff restocking fridges and shelves as the queue continues to grow seemingly suggested it was our own fault for being there and was difficult to sympathise with. Good beer, when you eventually get your hands on it! Haven't tried the pub grub recently.

We came in for something to eat in the late afternoon. I wanted a sandwich or similar, but all those options were not served after 3pm. We ordered off the main menu, although I was put off by so many dishes being with chips according to the menu. Actually when I spoke to the server, alternatives were available. We wanted regular hand-pulled beer. There wasn't any. They'd run out. Bottled beer was available. I chose 2 pints of what I guessed would be expensive draught continental beer. I don't know how much it cost, but we had pie and mash, a chicken curry and 2 pints and it cost £34.48. It seemed expensive for a very average meal.

We had Sunday lunch here after doing Race for Life, lovely sitting in the sun looking out over the marina wasn't busy, sprouts a bit hard and they didn't do cauliflower cheese :(
