Went into Cafe today not being in for a while...like the cafe,the Atmosphere is always great thebfoid delicious...just one small complaint the Tea was freezing by the time we got our meal I think it would be better to be asked if you want your hot drink to be served when you receive the food x

Was closing for a private event. So we had a bacon sarnie Which was lovely but expensive. 2 lattes and 2 bacon sarnies almost £17 . Waited anoutb15 mins for a table. Staff were lovely

The food is first class and plentiful. It is apparent that all the staff enjoy working here. It is reflected in the joyous atmosphere and food. The chips are to die for and we ( my sister her husband and I) would all highly recommend the corned beef and onion pie. It was my brother-in-law's birthday and it was mentioned between us. A candle was lit in his corned beef pie and the staff sang a roudy rendition of happy birthday to him. It made his day. Thank you

Fab place, food always great and really friendly staff.

Had the Sunday lunch Fondue for 2 and have to say really enjoyed it. Will be coming back for more. Also they let Dogs in which is a bonus for us

Superb little cafe, very convenient, with good EV car charging not far away and dog friendly too. Brilliant. Lovely breakfast, fresh tea was a real highlight too. Highly recommended

Worst cheese scone I've ever had and at my age have had a few

Probably the best Afternoon Tea we have ever had. The experience started well when we booked and were asked if we had any allergies and did we want sweet or savory. When we arrived we were shown to our reserved table and after a short wait our afternoon tea was brought to us. Everything was fresh and very tasty, portions were very large and the service was excellent.

What an absolute find on a retail park in Hartlepool. The decor is fab and quirky with amazing lighting 😊 The staff are so friendly and polite. Veggie/ vegan alternate milks it's great. The portions are very generous and the homemade chips are perfect.

Have been to Lyla belles a few times now for both breakfast and lunch. The food is always extremely nice, fresh, hot and well cooked. The staff could not be better, everyone who has greeted me or served me have been welcoming, polite and friendly. Never been a mistake with any of my orders. The cakes and cookies on offer are all fresh and totally delicious. But the cherry on top of this great place is they have blankets available for people who need to warm up with a cuppa in the winter, an amazing touch.

The staff were wonderful, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much for them. The place was absolutely packed when I got there with people waiting for a table. But again, you weren't made to feel rushed. I had a jacket potato with cheese savoury. You could tell the cheese savoury was homemade, it was jam packed with flavour. The slaw was the same. I will be going over and over again. Oh yes, there is also loads of parking.

Waited nearly an hour for 2 breakfast. Eggs benedict should have runny yolks but they were not. Would not rush back. Expensive for OK food and poor service.

What a pleasant place to visit for breakfast! The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. This is far from a greasy spoon. After having my fair share of boring old English breakfasts in the past, I decided to try something different and went for eggs benedict. Let me tell you, it was a game-changer! With two perfectly cooked eggs and a scrumptious sauce, it left me wanting more. They had to substitute the ham with bacon since they ran out, but who doesn't love bacon, right? Hartlepool holds some hidden gems, and this place is definitely one of them. The decor was simply amazing, and the toilets were not only clean but also modern, complete with posh soap and other fancy amenities. My father and fiancee thoroughly enjoyed their meals and drinks as well. The pictures I took capture the essence of this place perfectly, so why not take a peek? This place is so welcoming, the food was amazing (this visit we all had pancakes for breakfast) and the staff work so hard and are so friendly. Amazing little family run business - always so busy (in a good way!) So would recommend booking ahead just incase.

Service welcoming and friendly throughout. The food was really tasty and worth waiting for. Easy to park and seems quieter on a Monday/ Tuesday as it seems to be a very popular eatery. Well worth a visit!

Lovely fresh food and loose tea. Great how friendly the staff are with dogs, giving fresh water bowels and treats to our furr family members. A big thank you to Laura and Charlie who made the experience extra special.

Disappointed with Tuna and Cheese melt. Bread seemed as tho it had been deep fried, making it very oily along with oil in the tuna. Just far too much. Not pleasant at all.

We have visited here a few times for breakfast, which has always been excellent. Today we decided to have our lunch, and it was also excellent. Fresh food, great service with a smile and a lovely atmosphere. I chose the ham salad sandwich, my wife chose the tuna sandwich. Both were extremely tasty and fresh, and there was certainly plenty on the plate. We highly recommend Lyla Belles and will definitely be visiting again.

Came for food with my family 3 of us ordered the cornbeef pie. The menu stated it came with slaw and salad then it came with peas and gravy I asked to change it for the slaw and salad and she said no the menu was printed wrong. I'd of ordered something else if I'd of made made aware. The lady on the till when paying I'd asked her what the desserts where to take away and she said she didn't know so the man making drinks told me. I've never had a bad experience and lyla belles the staff have always been lovely.

Visited today for first time. Impressive layout, really lovely staff and delicious food. I had the sourdough toastie which came with homemade slaw and salad and it was just delightful - sourdough can be a bit dry when toasted but this was perfect - last time I had sourdough this good was in New York! I was that impressed that I've ordered a Coronation Afternoon Tea for 2 after spying a couple of ladies having an afternoon tea at a nearby table! The menu is extensive but not to the point of reducing on quality and dietary needs are taken into consideration. Another plus is that the owners use locally sourced produce therefore small businesses supporting each other. There are events planned and catering is also on offer. It has a nice vibe and access is all on the level with free parking. This cafe would not be out of place in any major city so Hartlepool is very lucky to have it!

Five for Easter high tea. Great food - so much we took some home. Happy friendly staff. Good parking and great access as all on one level. A definite return visit on the books.

First time I'd been here and the food was stunning. I also had the nicest chai latte I've ever had from here 😋. Lovely staff and great atmosphere.

Boy this was boarder line, get up and go but 1 hour and ten for food was not good, plenty of staff which were fine, they may had a chef off that day very slow service. Don't think 🤔 I will returning.

This place is a hidden gem out in the open, the snaks and drinks on offer are unbelievable, we only had a cheeky rhubarb and custard tea but we'll definitely be going back 😀

Had a small breakfast today. It was only warm, the bacon was dry, beans and mushrooms cold and there was a hair in the beans, which wasn't mine because it was short and straight and my haor is long and curly. Sausage was OK. The toast was brittle and just broke into pieces when I tried to spread the butter on it. Wouldn't go again

I popped in for the first time yesterday with a couple of friends. Lovely menu, plenty of choice. Lovely staff. Very busy but our meal was there on the table within 20 minutes. I had corned beef pie, chips and peas. My friend had quiche with salad and chips. Absolutely delicious, the chips were done to perfection! I'll definitely eat there again and have already recommended it to family members.

We went for mother's 89th birthday. The staff made a fuss of her with a cake & candles. She loved it. Thank you. X

Visited with my wife, son and friend. Our first visit to what turned out to be an amazing place. Staff were very friendly and took time out to explain everything and went out of the way to helpful. The cakes we had were amazing and everyone really enjoyed their visit. Although it was our first visit, it will not be our last and we hope to dine here again the next time we are in Hartlepool.

Visited this Cafe twice recently and overall the service was very good and the staff were very pleasant. The presentation was good but sadly the sausage I had in my Bap was overcooked. I would definitely go back though as it is a nice cafe.

Been here a couple of times previously and really enjoyed the cakes and tea. Good decor, good menu. Ordered an apple crumble with custard and a slice of coffee and walnut cake for my friend. Cake was a huge portion and really delicious however my crumble was not nice at all, the apple was red hot, the custard stone cold and the crumble was lots of rock hard inedible ball shapes. I left 3 quarters of it, the waitress came to take the plates and did not even mention the fact I'd hardly touched it. I said just for feedback the crumble was rock hard and not very nice....response was oh was it. It won't put me off but I was disappointed in the customer service.

What a beautiful quaint place this is ... staff are really freindly and professional... I had a vegan milkshake and it was lush also had vegan ginger cake it was to die for would fully reccomend .

Amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sunday roasts were delicious. The vast array of cakes, all home made, made it a hard struggle to decide but all were delicious. 2 baked cheesecake, 1 Victoria sponge and 1 spooky gingerbread man. Great selection of drinks too. Well recommend

Staff are friendly and very welcoming which is perfect and they made us feel good and its a very good clean environment the only thing I would say the pie special was dry and looked warmed up although tasted good would have been better fresh but overall this was a good place, fairly priced and nice atmosphere I do recommend this place!

Slow service. Coffee was warm not hot. Waited nearly 45 minutes for a ham and cheese pannie, when it came it was coverd in balsamic viniger from the salad, you could have moped it up there was so much on the plate. They did offer to remake it, but after waiting 45mins for the first one I wasn't willing to wait another 45.

Been here a handful of times & it was definitely different from the rest of the places near by. Food was nice, tasty little pricey but the food was worth it but the last time we visited, I don't know if they've changed suppliers on certain things but it was not the same as when we were there last, the wife left hers as it didnt look appetizing & the taste of it wasn't the same. Saying that we might go again just incase it was a one off...

Very disappointed response from staff. My daughter, myself and elderly mother (who can barely walk let alone stand) were left at entrance, no eye contact or acknowledgement from staff to assist us to a table. One table for four was only being used by one woman, there were other single tables available but nobody offered my mother a seat. After standing and being ignored for about 5 minutes, my mum couldn't stand any longer and we left...............we won't be returning and we definitely won't be recommending.

Really lovely food, service was a bit slow. It was really busy so I would suggest booking.

We had been previously been for cake and coffee while we waited for our car to be ready at Halfords. Found it quite by accident but it's quite a find. We came back for lunch as everything had looked so good, not disappointed at all. The service was brilliant, tuna melt was spot on and you can't beat proper homemade chips. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Another lovely visit on Sunday, always greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. Very good waitress service, a happy server who was happy to serve. Always wonderful food, I was happy with just a scone, clotted cream and jam and a pot of tea. My friend had a sandwich, beautifully served with salad dressing and crisps with a coffee. Good music playing at an appropriate sound level all adds to the atmosphere. A warm and friendly eatery with guarantee good food well served By excellent staff.

Festive club Sandwich was delicious. Bacon, brie, cranberry stuffing and loads of Turkey! Lovely staff. Clean and tidy. Reasonably priced. We will return.

We thought we would give this place a 3rd chance as we had been seated and ignored in the past. But they didnt fail us.....we sat for 15mins in the window seats without being offered a drink watching someone who came in after us getting served coffee. No more chances 👎
