Myself and a friend visited for a drink. Bar maid was nice and friendly, quick service although I think we was the only ones in there. Tried the strawberry daiquiri and I have to say it was probably the worst cocktail I’ve ever had. Strange taste and more brown in colour than red? Awesome party, the children loved it, bouncy castle, games, prizes and fancy dress. Best party venue. Looking forward to the next one.

The Social have signed a deal to host Cornwall darts, we went to the presentation evening for the county, a big part is Cornwall youth. Firstly you don’t need a degree to know that a hall full of dart players will drink a brewery dry! So why did they have no lagers on? Ran out of cider for two hours and two bar staff serving the whole county? Secondly as soon as the youth collected their trophies, my son was abruptly challenged by security staff and told to leave as over 18s only? Know your audience people. Shocking set up!

The bar staff were amazing and very friendly however the lack of beer on tap was disappointing. I am currently not looking to revisit due to this :(

If you purport to be a cocktail bar at least train the bar staff how to make them. Every staff member including the barmaid appearing to be in charge,had to resort to a tatty file of print outs to mix anything. Preparing properly so you don’t have to send a lad to the co op for lemons at 6.30pm would be a little more professional too! Let’s turn to the ladies toilets. Three cubicles, one with no lock and another with no door,,, response from staff… ‘no point replacing them as the locals just break things again’ Make your own judgement

This venue is brilliant! Went there to see The Wurzels and ate there beforehand. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Drink prices were also very reasonable. The events area is absolute class. We will definitely be going again.

I have eaten in here a few times now and have always received good service. The food has always tasted great to. Tonight I did a just eat order. Same great food, fast delivery and food still nice and hot. Great service

Refreshingly revamped and improved bar. A decent selection of beers on tap, ‘Off Shore’, cocktails, wine, soft drinks & good coffee! Late afternoon/early evening soft play for the small people during the half term week was a winner! Mickey was very helpful & inviting, made our evening more enjoyable, thanks for the hospitality, we will return!

Really fun decor and relaxing atmosphere. Food was yummy, left feeling very full! Nice cocktails and friendly staff especially Micky who went out of his way to make our experience a pleasant one! Would definitely recommend

We've been a few times and each time the food is better than the last, the quiz was a good laugh and the service was 2nd to non! Looking forward to going back, their new Social pint was also a winner.

Spent a few days sightseeing in Cornwall and following a pleasant train ride back from Looe to Liskeard, decided to pop in to The Social Bar & Eatery for a cocktail. Loved the rustic decor (sensed a bit of a Tim Burton feel) the lighting was calming and we immediately felt comfortable. We received a warm, non imposing, friendly welcome from Micky who presented us with the cocktail menu and complimentary nibbles. There was an array of classic and quirky cocktails of the ultimate substance to choose from. Of course, I had to try Micky’s version of my go-to cocktail, Espresso Martini. It did not disappoint. Quite honestly, it was the best I have ever tasted. We only popped in for one cocktail and following temptation of the enticing menu, we left six random cocktails later! There were other guests, some having drinks and others eating in and we’d have loved to have tried something from the food menu but had already made reservations elsewhere, which we eventually made it to. You absolutely must visit, we highly recommend The Social Bar & Eatery and will most definitely be trying the food menu on our next visit, as well a few more cheeky cocktails. Hospitality at its very best. Such an enjoyable experience at The Social on a rainy afternoon, supplemented by some amazing cocktails. We received the warmest of welcomes from Micky, who was both attentive, engaging and very generous whilst we were there (the female bartender making some of our drinks was also very pleasant and friendly). Experienced a nostalgic trip down memory lane when we were shown around what was previously the Carlton Suite, as well as being very impressed with the new venue which has a lovely ambiance, chilled out vibe and which has been tastefully updated with a modern rustic decor. Liskeard is all the better for having The Social and we’ll definitely be returning for another ‘cocktail session’ when we next visit the town. Cheers Micky and the Team, we had a great time!

Fabulously decorated, brilliant atmosphere and very accommodating staff members (especially Fozzie Bear). We were spoilt rotten by all staff members and had a great evening. Can’t wait to come back and try the food which I hear is delicious. Nothing was too much trouble! We will be back!! :)
