Well want can I say, falsely advertising its a Bed and breakfast we saw no signs of that and when we got there we were welcome by a sign saying ring here if no answer then phone so no reception. And we was greeted by the owner moaning about his wife all the way to our rm. When shown in the rm we were told that we had a fridge and microwave so straight away you knew that they didn't do breakfast. Had a note given us information about if we needed anything then to phone well the first number didn't work as it had two many numbers as we had a dirty bed cover when we went to bed so the first night was not good so we contacted the owner but because we were trying the number we was told to use and it wasn't working, we finally got through to them but by then it was 14.00 ish and was told nothing could be done about the dirty cover so I said just pop a clean one and I will do it myself. Well the shocking thing is that the house keeper had been into our room to remake the bed by putting the dirty cover back up on the top of the bed.

My wife and I travelled from West Yorkshire and arrived this afternoon. When we eventually found it ww thought we'd arrived at the wrong place as it was a deserted pub called The Snooty Fox, with a naff A4 sheet of paper stuck to the window. There was no sign of life at all, so I phoned one of the mobile numbers on the paper. A woman answered the phone. I asked her how we accessed the building and was told that the rooms aren't available until 4pm. I asked how to get to the rooms as the premises was completely deserted and was told it's a "remotely managed", whatever that meant. I asked her about the empty premises, presuming (reasonably) that we needed access to our room via the premises and she told me bluntly that I didn't need to know that and the details were clearly disclosed when we made the booking (an outright lie). I said we would go somewhere to eat and come back at 4pm and was told in no uncertain terms to "go home". I was dumbstruck and hung around the car park with my wife while we decided what to do. A few minutes later the woman turned up with a thuggish tattooed male of similar middle age and asked us to leave their property UNDER THREAT OF VIOLENCE which we did. We have never experienced anything like this and would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place like the plague. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Booked this via bookings.com. Thank goodness because they cancelled and refunded because we did not get what we booked. Arrived thinking we had a downstairs room with Tv seating area twin beds and ensure plus terrace. Got a tiny twin room you could hardly move in. Really tatty. Asked to move. Got a double for one night but would have to move next day! (Told via test message) This room had no sheets. Asked for some and got told via message they had non so would have to go back to original room! We refused. Phoned bookings.com who then got on to b&b.. Snooty wanted to charge 50 cancellation Thankfully booking.com refunded and helped us find a better place. If going good luck!

Been going to looe for years and always passed the snooty fox. We decided to stay there last weekend and so glad we did. We stayed in room 12 which was on the front. Was probably the most relaxing chilled out weekend my partner and i have had. Room was lovely and the bed was amazing. We decided to have a breakfast on the last day and glad we did. It was perfect. A special thank you to karen and stewart from your favourite brummie plasterer and his partner and were be seeing you again in a few months.

This was our last meal in Cornwall so decided to have breakfast here on route for home. Lovely menu 2 of our party had full English, my husband had scrambled eggs with parmesan I had bubble & squeak with poached eggs. All meals were really good. The quality of ingredients really showed. The coffee & tea were also very good. The proprietor husband & wife team were real charectors & service was excellent.

we booked for a week and ended up staying for 2 more nights because I didn't want to go home ,, we loved it here , Karen and stewart were hilarious and are a perfect team , it was like we had known eachother for years, so friendly and funny , I have read some views from a couple of people about stewart being miserable but he,s not ,,, if you don't have a personality or sence of humour you wont get him but if you have then you couldn't find a better place to stay ,, the rooms are spotless you could eat your dinner off the floor , we felt so at home like I said that we stayed longer , you do have to pay for a cooked breakfast which is does say b4 you book and its worth every penny , excellent food and quality sausages and bacon , we are going back and would recommend this place to everyone who goes to cornwall , I cant wait to go there again even if its just to see Karen and stewart :)

What a lovely suprise. Lovely place, lovely people and smashing grub! We went for a sunday roast and sweet, there were all ages (in fact 4 generations!) and we were all catered for beautifully. Our granddaughter is just one year old and the owner could not have been more accommadating if she tried. We asked for a small plate so that she could have some of our veg and they brought her a lovely little dinner of her own at no extra cost. The food was lovely and hot and obviously home cooked properly. The sweets again were home made and generous portions. If I had to comment about anything there was alot of gravy and maybe would be better in a jug but certinly not worth moaning about! I can honestly say that we all had a lovely meal and have nothing but praise for the staff, the quality and the setting. Thank you for a great

I booked here with a groupon deal. I kind of spoke more extensively with the folks here about my booking as I booked for a late slot due to work. I wish you guys would have come and spoken to me, that would have been fab You were all floating about. So I will tell it factually. The roast is great and plentiful, service great but forgetful, I ordered a white wine at the bar but brought a rose to the table for the next round. No biggie. Surroundings are a bit tea room, while some other bits are quite trendy, not sure what the guys are trying to achieve here? It's a bit confused. It could be really nice. However, overall, a very good roast indeed. Wish they would choose their way forward. My advice would be to get rid of the plastic tablecloths ://

Out of Looe by 3 miles which we were aware of. Will need a car to get around. 5 miles from liskeard for shopping. Breakfast adequate. Disappointed that no alcohol on tap in the bar area. Strictly do b&B. Rooms adequate but as we only slept in them they were okay. Only does food on Sundays and you need to book.

A group of 6 of us were hoping to eat here on 14 June. We are a group of friends from Oxfordshire, North Devon and Cornwall all meeting up whilst visiting the area for a celebratory lunch. Admittedly the booking had only initially been made for 4, however during the week prior to the day attempts had been made to increase the booking by phone to 6. Messages had been left and on the occasion that someone did answer the phone a note was taken of the increase and we were told that someone would call back to confirm that the extra 2 people could be catered for. No returned call was received so it was decided to call in at the Snooty Fox at 11.30 am on the day before just to make sure all was OK for the following day. The proprietor did not even have the manners to come to the door, screeching through the intercom that breakfast time was their busiest time of day and that she could do without this hassle. She could not confirm whether they could cater for an extra 2 people on the following day and maybe the extra 2 people should just be told not to come. Utterly astonished by this poor customer service it was pointed out that we were a group of 6 and we all wanted to eat together, the proprietor then responded, well I don’t have time for this so lets settle it here and now and just cancel the whole booking. Having eaten in many places around the world, from street venders to Michelin starred restaurants, we have never experienced such a disgraceful attitude to customer care… after all we only wanted to spend money at the establishment. This Fox was clearly too Snooty to deal with an enquiry from a cash paying customer. We ended up having a super carvery lunch at the Portbyhan Hotel in West Looe where the service, value for money and views were outstanding.

We went for dinner here after having a couple of nice evenings, the man / owner is a lovely chap, we went in Sunday wasn't particularly busy b asked for a carvery, a young lad said theirs not enough here you need to book a week in advance, no other food was on offer? Very odd and all the locals all old I must add were just staring at us with contempt, never been back since as I don't like to give business when treated like this, such a shame as it is a lovely bar and restraunt.

Festive Afternoon Tea this afternoon was very disappointing. It is clearly a stop gap to keep income trickling in between Sunday lunch and evening dinner service. The biggest issue is with the service, very inattentive, unconcerned staff not in the slightest bit interested in providing a professional level of attention. The afternoon tea was acceptable but not exactly delightful let alone memorable or to be recommend to others. Delightful setting with the hotel beautifully appointed and well decorated for Christmas, just a pity the staff were not switched on at all. Management at fault and it would appear no investment made in staff training.

For a spot of lunch, my wife and two children decided to eat here. Never again. We settled on the beef style kebabs (on a skewer). With rice. The beef was tough, tastless, rough and badly cooked. I was a butcher, I should know! Rice was microwaved but still undercooked! The salad that came with it was soggy, rotten and floppy. The best part of the meal was the kids fish goujons. We spent 70 quid (including drinks) on some of the worst food I've eaten.
