I took a chance to visit S&L for brunch with my husband. The food was ok, but what made the experience “excellent” was the service. The girl that looked after us, I remember her name as it’s unusual, is called Cadee. Cadee was polite, checked up on us, offered us more drinks when she noticed ours were empty and we had a bit of a laugh with her! Character, manners and efficiency, a winning combination in my book! It was refreshing to be able to shelter from the rain with my dogs inside! The premises was very clean and a young lady named Cadee couldn’t have been more welcoming! There was a fuss made of the puppies and the service was timely. Excellent overall!

Overpriced lunch. £13.50 for battered cod and chips. About 10 french fries and some wilted rocket as a side. The cod was full of bones. The waitress was very apologetic as she explained that there was no vinegar. I know prices have gone up but quality seems to have suffered along the way.
