Just popped in for a quick breakfast cob as we live locally. Was surprised, when we asked for mugs of tea to go with our cobs, we we told that hot drinks weren't available! Cobs were very good but as I needed to take my medication with food, I asked for a small amount of tap water to swallow the pills. Again I was told' we don't have the facility for that'. It is advertised as a cafe but no hot drinks or a tap apparently!!. We were the only 2 people in the 'cafe', whereas the one across the street was packed, I wonder why, maybe they do tea.

Just popped in for a quick breakfast cobs, they were fine but when asked for teas we were told only cold drinks were available, how is it called a cafe if they can't do hot drinks. I had medication to take so asked for a little tap water, sorry said the owner, we don't have the facility for that!! What they don't have a tap! No wonder this place was empty and the establishment across the road was packed. We are very local so we're disappointed with the owners attitude.

Came across this place whilst walking around Wirksworth, just had to try the Yorky Pud Chicken Wrap. What can I say apart from amazing, well worth rhe money. Will certainly be for more the next time I'm in the area. The shop has a great feel and design to it with it being in such an old quirky building.

Called in today on the off chance. What a surprise. I ordered a pulled pork with everything on, one of the best sandwiches I’ve tasted in a long time. If you’re in the area you need to try this place. Andy

Popped in the Sizzling Pig for a bacon butty on spec. There is quite discouragement for paying contactless which I understand has a cost implication for the propriator, but in the current circumstnaces is a 'must'. The other thing was that there are no hot drinks. I aske for a coffee to go with my butty but there is none. The bacon was tasty and the bread cob was great but no hot drinks? I won't be going back.

Would not recommend this place. Unfriendly service by owner. I'm a tourist, and didn't understand the menu. He was not happy to explain. Made the order Incorrect, and was upset when I told him it's not what I orderd, even after I showed him what he wrote on the order. The tables where we sat down to eat was not clean. Serving breakfast but don't have coffee 🤣🤣🤣

Called in Weds 2/03/22. Top quality food whether it be in a cob (bread roll) or Yorkie Wrap. Beef or pork yorkie seem to be favourite...There were about 12 of us this time (we were the guys in orange waterproofs) from all over the country, working at the nearby railway station. Around 12.30ish someone will suggest lunch and the sizzling pig is always where the lads want to go ! Best place for hot food in Wirksworth. Hope to be back soon. Many thanks

Lovely lunch of pulled pork in a yorkshire pudd wrap with stuffing and apple sauce. Had to queue outside as had not pre-ordered in these post lockdown days, but well worth it. Very restricted hours so don't suggest coming back tomorrow it might not be open!

Nice little cafe I would and I would say cheap and cherful. Very good for the money we had decent bacon sandwiches and coffee for £3.25 each. Served quick and freshly made unlike some places where the food in kept warm until they get a customer. NOT SUITABLE FOR VEGANS.

Visited during the Festival week. The food was grim, nasty and cheap and the customer service was poor. If you want to be humiliated just ask the staff for a herbal tea - they are not interested in their customers - if it isn't on the menu they are blunt to the point of rudeness - I will never visit again

The Sizzling Pig is great cafe for breakfasts and brunches. The filled cobs are generous and well-filled and very tasty ! Great variety and some nice granola bars too. Very good coffee and a choice of teas. A real asset for the town that is all too easy to call into, and unfortunately needs to be rationed.

A friend and I dropped in here for a light lunch following a visit to the Ecclesbourne steam Railway. I ordered a Yorkshire pudding wrap with chicken, gravy and stuffing, and my friend had a Yorkshire pudding wrap with beef , Horesradish and gravy, plust two mugs of tea. The total cost for both was about £12. The flavour of the wraps was amazingly good for the price paid, better than a £12 meal that I had eaten elsewhere two days earlier. The cafe is quite basic and small so do not expect to sit as a normal cafe, more on bar stool type seating. Whilst we were there many people came in for a tae#keaway, most had the Yorkshire pudding wraps. They also advertised a Sausage cob plus mug of tea for only £2.95. How do they do it ?

We made a spur of the moment trip to Matlock Bath, as the weather is awful and stayed in a hotel nearby. We chose The Greyhound for food, because when we drove past it, it looked inviting. I'm so glad we had dinner here. It really was top tier and I was blown away with the quality of the food! I had the venison haunch and it was cooked to perfection, with a port jus and garlic mash - comfort food heaven!! The beer was good and the service was top notch too. We only visit Matlock Bath a couple of times per year but I have found our new go to for food and drinks. Thank you to all the staff and our utmost compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great vibes in the pub. Got there as they opened and the hospitality was fantastic. I ordered a coffee and they got the coffee machine up and running straight away. Service was friendly and coffee was very nice and affordable. Came with a nice biscuit as well. We just used the hotel as a pub as a meeting point to start our stag do. There was a couple ordering food which looked great also. Beer was great and there was darts and a foosball table! 10/10 establishment
