Fantastic place, food was lovely and staff were great especially with my son, very friendly! All areas clean and tidy, we will be back

Arran was very professional and courteous, I suggested slight little extras for meals and he said when we order again ask and he Will accommodate happily. Been here a few times and this has been one of the nicest and relaxed visits. The littlest changes can biggest difference.

Best service I’ve ever received, such nice food would definitely eat there every pay day, get yourselves there missing out on good drinks n food.

Nice and friendly service. Staff were very good - even gave our dogs a couple of biscuits. Food was decent - pretty much what you'd expect. A varied menu. Overall a very enjoyable afternoon. Alicia and Emily were very polite and friendly

Visited twice recently and both times the food was dismal . Usually OK. The carvery is nice.

Lots of meals were out of stock. 3 meals turned up 10 minutes after the first meal had been brought out. We did get offered a free drink as compensation. Service was very friendly and the food was okay

Myself and my daughter love the food here, we have been coming here for the past 4 years and had never had a bad experience.

Went for my brothers birthday meal and really enjoyed myself the food was superb and made to my requirements.

Always our go to place for food and drinks, carvery is gorgeous ❤️ staff are lovely and so helpful. Been here for birthdays in the past always go above and beyond for birthdays, couldn't ask for anything more.

I came here yesterday fir my birthday meal, the staff were unorganised there was no communication between the servers and kitchen. When the food arrived I was appalled, the chips were under done and despite telling the staff about my allergy I was still served items with onion. Unfortunately I won't be returning.

Came in on Easter Sunday for a carvery. They had just turned off the carvery deck as we ordered but the staff just plated up our roast instead and brought us veg and sauces out on a platter so we could still pick and choose what we wanted. Food was lovely and fantastic service!

Booked a table to be told on arrival that they only do 'walk-ins' on match days, barmaid was very abrupt and told us there was a table we could use in the quiet area...there wasn't, we found our own table in another area, there were four of us eating, my sons ordered curry and a chicken burger, I ordered Thai curry and my husband ordered sugarpit belly pork. The pub was busy..but more with drinks for the match, it took approx 30 mins for food to arrive. Food arrived, my sons orders were both fine. My Thai dish was practically an empty bowl, I'd paid extra for chicken but curry was non existent, the belly pork was an undercooked, rubbery piece of fat. We complained, the man who looked at our food was brilliant, said the belly pork looked like it had been rushed and apologised for my lack of food. We waited another 30 mins, by which time my sons had finished their meals and were wanting to leave. Mine was a little better, the belly pork however was no better, looked like the top had just been blowtorched. Not good. It's not the cheapest pub grub and we would not recommend this place.

Welcoming staff and pleasant atmosphere/surroundings. Our carvery veg were freshly cooked. Choice of beef, turkey or gammon. Reasonable selection of veg for a mid-week carvery included mash, roasties, vegetable provencal (spelling?) glazed carrots and sweet potato plus cauliflower cheese plus a yorkie. A selection of sauces also available cranberry, mint. horseradish, mustard and very tasty gravy. We used a special offer discount which brought the price down but even at usual price it is still a great price. NOTE. They no longer do weekday carvery but do have a good selection of tasty meals on their menus

Had a lovey lunch here with a friend after shopping. Leanne and Abbey where lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Food was fresh, warm and delicious. Will be back to to try the Sunday Carvery

It was good we were able to get a table without booking one the only downside was how crowded it was with people walking around the place alot

Marston’s pub renowned for its real ale (pedigree , empire etc)and nothing on the hand pull , only generic fizzy beer on offer, pity. Also our meal got forgotten about, went back to the bar over 30 mins later, to find the ticket on the system hadn’t transferred to the kitchen, TBF the staff offered a drink for the inconvenience. Food when it arrived was nice enough, but the tiny jug of dipping gravy was a bit gelatinous and we had to request the burger sauce that was supposed to accompany the dish. Also never returned to check if everything was adequate, but overall quite enjoyed, just took longer than expected

So friendly Music was a little too loud and confusing as tv playing at the same time Overall experience was great and will definitely return

Excellent service from staff, especially Lou from the catering team. She is always so cheerful, and happy to go the extra mile. Manager is always informative and friendly, as I need a Gluten Free diet. Food is excellent. Good team all round.

Always friendly, quick service and plenty of GF options. Manager is friendly and chats to us when we go in. Lou, from the catering team is second to none, always cheerful and hard working. Nothing is too much trouble. The whole team are great. Would recommend a visit to Six Medals to anyone

Fantastic place with amazing staff and management. Always a warm welcome and a thank you as you leave. Very relaxed atmosphere, with good food and a decent selection of beers. Nothing is too much trouble. The new tv’s are a nice addition. 👍

Emily went the extra mile to help us and especially one my friends who had been struggling physically. I can’t thank her enough for all her efforts . One of her colleagues also helped us to get a taxi . The food was also excellent and I can certainly recommend this venue .

We travel from west yorkshire to visit my son and daughter in law and granddaughter, we have had many lovely meals here. Tonight has been made extra special for our family by Abby and Emily, we came to celebrate my daughter's 19th birthday and nothing was too much trouble 😊 Thank you so much Abby and Emily for making our evening a truly amazing experience ❤️ 😊 💖

Food was amazing, eggs cooked perfectly, the toast was golden brown and the bacon was crispy. 10/10 recommend. The service was amazing too. The atmosphere was superb, the positivity and hard work from all the workers really stood out. Definitely recommend taking friends and family here :)

Great value, delicious food and the sweets sealed the deal

Food was really good but the service was under satisfactory levels. We had to wait over an hour for just a burger and it was late to the point we were served desserts before our starters and the main course. Staff seemed uninterested to do their work and could do better to make it seem like they are taking an effort to do their work.

Came in to meet some friends, food on tables looked realy nice, after a great recommendation from leanne about the new hot dog on menu I couldn’t help my self, neil on the bar was energetic and helpful, one of the best experiences ive had anywhere and the food was truly delicious, thx you

Why they stopped doing carvery through the week?

Went for carvery got sat at a table that I had to keep my feet on cos it kept rocking. Carvery wasn't to bad although got 1 slice of meat need to stop the frozen mash

Amazing service by both Neil and Alicia. Neil was extremely warm, welcoming and attentive. Food was lovely, I would recommend the Mac and Cheese. Dogs are welcomed and it was a great visit. Will be back.

We had not been to the six medals for a few years, hoping for the nice carvery we remembered. Sadly carvery only on at weekend. However the a la carte menu had an excellent range of meals. Food was very good. We plan to return very soon. Called back for second visit with baguette s and burger. Just as good, back for a third next week

I was welcomed as I came into pub and staff could not do enough for you. The meat server Johnathan was so helpful and really made you feel special he listened to your requirements and did them thank you got to speak to manager too he was so helpful and said thank you for visiting his pub I would recommend this pub to everyone

We use the 6 medals and since new manager arrived its got even better nice staff decent food and this years decorations are brilliant for the kids. It's always warm and clean and tidy well done

We waited around 20 minutes for our starter to come out after ordering at the bar. We ordered the cheddar bites and got 3 bites - even though they were £5.95 - absolutely not worth it. We didn’t wait as long for the mains. We ordered all our food together and then waited a further 25 mins for the desserts to come out - after asking a member of staff where they were. Overall, we spent £74 on a starter, 2 mains, a dessert and 2 drinks each - which is not worth coming out and paying for. Would not recommend or visit again.

Absolutely amazing went for breakfast with Santa with my full family and grandchildren. As always lovely atmosphere very friendly and welcoming. Staff were brilliant as always. Definitely recommend if never visited definitely need give them a try. Friendly staff amazing food what more could you ask for. 11/10 :)

Went in for diner and me and the wife both had the mixed grill. Probably the best I have ever eat. Was lovely.

Incredible service. Neil and his gang are great, especially Katie and Abbey. Their service was impeccable and the drinks were delicious! Their friendly greeting made me and my partner feel so comfortable in their pub! A complete recommendation for any family, couple or individual.

Food is very average, typical frozen pub grub reheated, but the price is reasonable, the app doesn't have everything on it so had to order at the bar. Staff are very friendly and dedicated to their job, the atmosphere was very nice and the pub is very modern and cosy.

Normally, a great meal but the mixed grill was not the best

Thought there was a carvery on but it wasn't. The cider I wanted they had none. Tables weren't cleared after people had left so it was quite untidy.

My son’s 18th Birthday meal on Sunday 3rd December was beautiful. Abby was a fantastic host and she really looked after my 88 year old Father In Law. Thank you 6 Medals.

Went to see psychic mediums on a Sunday night, Paul Maull & Tony Cole, fantastic night, they were still serving Sundaby carvery in the main room which looked delicious, maybe next time will have a meal 1st, had a drink, plenty car parking space easy to get to close to the Riverside Stadium

Appalling service, we purchased a “your voucher” book where it states 2 for 1 vouchers are available all days other than bank holiday’s, however we tried to order food with the voucher in question and the manager himself said we can’t use the voucher as it is “Match Day” nowhere in the terms and conditions does it state that.

Went for Halloween party, amazing atmosphere, and staff were the best interacting with the children

Lovely place, friendly staff who welcomed myself, my wife and daughter into the pub, food was delightful, roast was gorgeous, and can't help but praise the short girl from the kitchen, can't remember her name but she was so friendly with my 4 year old daughter, helping her decide which veg she wants and just really going the extra mile to make sure my child was smiling non stop, she was also behind the counter singing in her pyjamas on their pyjama day? I though it was hilarious and again the little one absolutely adored her, so I had to say thank you again and that we will most definitely be coming back! This act of niceness genuinely did improve a bad day as my daughter has been struggling with bullying in her nursery and this picked her mood right back up, really saved the day! Best Martsons pub in the local area to say the least, with the most friendly team I've met in a long while!

We had booked table week in advance for Sunday lunch my partner received a phone call an hour before stating the carvery was about to run out .We had already set off but we could have the other menu which we wanted Sunday lunch , surely they top the carvery up so we cancelled our booking and went Toby carvery ( teach Lauren some customer service skills ) shocking
