Costa Coffee in Middlesbrough

The staff at Costa are always happy which is my go to coffee shop the they don't just ask you if you want coffee they always ask if u want food or cakes

Its scruffy. No medium cups or teaspoons. Apparently all stolen by customers. Says a lot about the clientele.

The place smelled of stale milk. Quality of drink was fine and it was brought over. What I was impressed with was the treatment of another customer who had additional needs. They were made to feel valued and important. Great level of service to that person.

I went today to the costa coffee in the cleveland town center, the guy who worked there was not friendly, i had to wait for a long time to order. He ignored me. Eventhough he scanned my qr code in the app, still i havn't received the beans. This is not the first time. They show that they are scanning, but the beans don't add to the account. And whenever i go, always bad smell coming. Very dissapointed about the service.

The staff are so good 1 guy in particular was so nice and very chatty

Costa in the Cleveland Centre is absolutely my go to place to have a quick bite and a drink when out and about in town. The coffee is always delicious and the sandwiches are rather tasty too, I had a caramel latte with cream and a bacon bun which were both delightful. On top of all that there was plenty of seating available at peak lunch time and the staff were excellent in both service and attitude. Josh the gentleman who served me was very friendly and had a great personality really put a smile to my face. Highly recommended!

Have been here a few times now as it's one of the only locations to relax and breastfeed the baby in the shopping centre. However I won't be returning, the place is dirty, not very nice coffees, toilet is always out of order which is not ideal with a baby. The place is also quite run down and needs some money spending on it, lights hanging out of the ceiling, worn out furniture etc.

Costa is my favourite place to go. Great Customer service and lovely coffee !

Costa always produce consistent coffee. I had an Americano and my colleague had a latte. No problem when asking for extra hot water. Only downside was toilet out of action

I just received berry mango bubble tea in middlesbrough grange road..the taste of tea as horrible as the boy served me the tea . He’s a racist as well.

Called in today had drinks and toasties ,2 lads serving the smaller lad was a bit hyper but all good fun,was fairly busy we sat at back near toilets and tables were rocky need sorting also maybe more staff to observe and tidy up ,food was nice and drinks even though a bit expensive good choice though.

Called in for a coffee after a tiring coach ride up from Manchester to see my partner, soon as I walked in the vibe was so calm and welcoming, the lady and gentleman working this morning were amazing, helpful and very upbeat, walked in to a queue of about 6/7 people and was only waiting a couple minutes for my coffee, very fast and very friendly service with a smile, if I could give more than 5 stars I would, keep up the great work, them 2 make a great team!

2 young staff in the shop where both so polite and bubbly. Young lad has such a rapport with the customers it's unreal and the young girl who made my coffee thanks to her i can say best coffee I've had!! Highly recommended.

Not a very pleasant or relaxing location, and an insufferable, overbearing twerp behind the counter. Will avoid in future.

Came to this Costa with my family a few times this week . However will not be returning. Female staff look satanic!! Not appropriate for the work place. They need church. Scary makeup and tattoos. What has happened to this generation!

Visiting Middlesbrough for a course. Needed a caffeine hit so poppet into the Costa in the Cleveland centre. To say they were run off their feet would be an understatement. That notwithstanding, the staff albeit stressed, were cheerful, professional and attentive. The team leader Josh, was very customer focused, dynamic and kept the queue informed and entertained. I travel all over the world and frequent many coffee houses. It is so easy to just drink your coffee and say nothing. This was not the case in this instance. I felt that the Cleveland centre Costa staff deserved to be recognised and that is why i am leaving a good review.

Visited the Cleveland Centre shop today and the staff were so lovely and seemed happy in their work. Will definitely go again.

It’s always lovely to come to this shop, the lady who served me today was so accommodating and the banter and jokes from the dark haired lad made us chuckle 🤣x

Fresh moist banana bread, my favourite, fresh fresh cream for my hot chocolate and the friendliest staff member I've ever met anywhere. Josh I think. He deserves a raise! Always goes above and beyond to make sure all customers are as happy as he can make them, very refreshing.

I was enjoying a lovely coffee made absolutely perfectly until someone called Jack started his shift. He is unbelievably loud and spent the entire time slagging off Costa , his line manager and speaks in a very patronising tone. The entire shop could hear it in fact even the staff at Iceland could hear him. I walked up to him as I was leaving and suggested that he quits his job and looks for something else or to stop moaning. Totally ruined a peaceful time I was trying to have on my day off .

Just had a coffee staff were friendly nice cup of coffee

2 bacon baps and sausage nap and all were cold. Drinks were also not hot

The experience is good though I haven't had the pleasure of fully dinning in. This review is highly subjective and it's based on my little experience buying coffee.

I enjoyed my favourite. A coconut vanilla latte, its sweet and creamy without sugar. The staff help me by carrying it to the table. Always service with a smile, i love going to costa. Get the app makes you save for a free one and more.

Only visit this store a few times but last time no straws this time no cream to top my Frappe😢. The toilet seat loose & no paper very unhygienic. Last visit. Bring back Starbucks.

Coffee is great no doubt, the only issue being, most of the times, there won't be a cell phone network.

Always a lovely cup of coffee new flavour really nice maple syrup would recommend not so keen on the muffin as has hazelnuts as well as maple syrup and not a lover of nuts

A man kept trying to take pictures of me an my friend the whole time we were here, we told the staff because we felt really creeped out an noticed him staring at other women and staff, thought they would hv stopped him coming in. Came in a few days ago an he was sat there like normal an the staff were even calling him 'buddy'. It's clear they don't care about the safety of the customers I left straight away, none of my friends or family will ever come here again and I warn others not to too

Always a big fan of Costa and the drinks, whilst they don't change much, have a good selection and there's sometimes seasonal choices The food isnt great for gluten free sufferers but everyone else has a good selection of cakes, biscuits, toasties and salads. I generally always get a latte but the ruby hot chocolate which is the pink drink in the picture, but ignore the lackluster squidge of cream on top, they're normally a lot more 'generous' than that lol The boy has a chocolate frostini no coffee and my partner has a cappuccino.

The Branch of Costa in the Cleveland Centre in Middlesbrough is undoubtedly the the most cramped and scruffiest one I have been in. Granted, it was busy - but surely that is what you might expect in such a location; and all the more reason to make sure that the limited tables are made available by clearing and tidying them promptly. There was extra seating outside, but (a) it was a tad too cold for that and (b) many of the tables were occupied by various blokes who seemed to be using it as a smoking corner, with no coffees in sight. We went to a nearby Caffè Nero and the difference was polar, with roomy, clean and comfortable surroundings and quick service. And after our coffees we passed Costa again and the smokers were still in situ outside, while the scrum continued indoors.

Love a Costa, tea coffee, toast, sausage bun, what more could you want.

The coffee was lovely , the staff are overly friendly the lady who served me seemed to jump on me when l went in, which didn't really give me enough time to decide what l wanted.

Service okay, however the coffee was really badly made , soya milk was not frosted enough for latte and cortado was 👎👎, so far worse coffee we had in Costa, disappointing

Poor service from staff. Told to move from the one comfy seat as only in a group of two and not three people. So had to sit in hard back chairs instead. Won't be coming back here. Rude staff and unfriendly attitude.

Always popping in for a cuppa and a little something on my own, with friends or the family. Always a good atmosphere, great staff and service.

All members of staff were really friendly and upbeat, especially Tom. He was accomodating to the fact that as a muslim I don’t want my sandwich heated up near or on the same tray as the ham. He was the one who suggested doing them separately. (Something I’ve never ever been asked in any Costa over the span of years I’ve been a customer, even in my home town one) The Costa was quite busy but I still received service with a smile and the place was pretty clean too!

Always have bad experiences here - supervisor or manager in charge is very rude, makes you feel like he slags you off the second you walk away from the counter. Asked for an extra tomato sauce and got told they ‘normally charge’ for that, even though I’ve never been charged for one in my life, his attitude stinks. - had my bacon sandwich brought over, it was just dumped on the table in front of me, nothing was said they just walked straight off. - atmosphere is horrible, staff are rude
