A really nice local pub - with plenty of good ales and beers on - lovely to sit in a great pub garden to enjoy a beer in the sun - great friendly service too 🍻🍷☀️😊😊

Came during an open mic night and enjoyed it a lot. Good choice of drinks and one of the singers, Kuran Dohil-Lynch was a real treat to hear!

Sometimes, in this world of gastro pubs and themed places, you struggle to find a great, British pub that just serves great beer, and plain satisfying food. I brought my daughter here on a cold, grey day. I'd just scattered my Mums ashes so was in a sombre and melancholy mood. Got parked right outside in one of the 3 spaces and walked through the door. Fire was lit. London Pride on draft. The piblican apologized for the simple food she was serving because she was manning the ship alone, this was what I needed. I sat by the fire and chatted. A table of old boys were getting acquainted and talking quietly together at the next table. Then the bacon and cheese baguette arrived.... Utterly brilliant in the way only simple, delicious, comfort food can be. This place represents the opposite of all of those pubs that have had thier love and community spirit removed by the chains. It was lovely. Please support this pub, because if you don't, you'll be lucky to find another like it.

Great local in the village of Burgh field Common. Good selection of ales on tap. Good friendly atmosphere. Large garden with lots of seating area some areas that are covered. Weekly live music also provided for customer entertainment on weekends.

Nice little village pub with occasional entertainment , beer garden with some toys for children. Only thing I'd like to see added would be traditional pub grub.

Could do with a little refinement but excellent value and food looked very good, although we had baguettes and they were overcooked, but half the price I expected to pay.

My friend and I met up there, after not seeing each other for about 40 years. The lady there made us feel so at home, looked after us nicely, I was very glad we chose to meet up there. We shall return.

Always a nice crisp pint. No nonsense. But ideal for a few afternoon pints. Staff and locals are friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic night of djs in 3 rooms, an excellent crowd bar staff and caterers made this a top night. Drinks very well priced too. Promoters did well here. All on point

Very welcoming and friendly place with really great food and atmosphere. Proper country pub and kitchen. We had burger, chicken risotto and schnitzel and all were excellent. Small amount of parking available. Outside facilities are covered as well. Would recommend.

It's a local's local so don't expect a fuzzy welcome like it's some sort of 'Friend's' reunion. Nonetheless warm and inviting, with a fine selection of beers, and a spacious (plus artificially heated) smoking / vaping area. (red) Wine menu appears limited to a couple of decent Shiraz and Malbec. Staff are very welcoming. Superb curry house opposite...

A very quaint country pub on the main road. Great atmosphere and definitely a good stop off point to take the weight. Unlike the other pubs close by limited parking. But that did not spoil the visit for a group of 14.

Wonderful local pub, serving the community extremely well, Polly has been there as long as I remember, she calls it a proper PUB and it always has been in my experience, my house was attached to the pub until we moved, I am still very attached to it and plan to visit again very soon!!!

Este es un pub sin lujos no caprichos culinarios que ofrece un menú de comida muy buena a muy buen precio y una buena variedad de cervezas. Tiene un jardín y es cálido y acogedor.

This is a great friendly pub used by a lot of locals in the village. The food is excellent but the serving hours very limited which is a shame as I beleive it could do a lot more food trade. Food is only seved at lunchtime between midday and 1400hrs which does not suit everybody, however the portions are large and the quality excellent.

We were looking for somewhere new to visit last weekend and settled on popping into the Six Bells in Burghfield Village. There happened to be a table top sale with hog roast and a bit of entertainment so not a bad choice of day for a visit! The landlady was very very welcoming and friendly, we shared a drink or two! The bar was buzzing with what appeared to be a bunch of lovely locals! They don't serve food on Saturdays but as I mentioned there was a hog roast on for the event which was yum! We will definitely be back to try the grub!! The sign says weekdays 12-2 and Sunday roasts (which need to be booked in advance). If you are looking for a friendly reception and a proper pub serving proper beer (and snacks!!) then head to the Bells!!!!! p.s our little one really enjoyed himself on the swings and the wendy house in the beer garden.

This is a locals pub with a good atmosphere and generally good beer (currently 4 real ales). Food is served 12 - 2 Monday to Friday and most of Sunday for which you must book. Dogs are welcome but children must be kept on a short lead. The landlady is invariably at the bar enjoying a drink with the customers.

I cannot recommend the Six Bells enough. It's a real pub with a real pub atmosphere and a real landlady! Polly's (and Debbie's) lunch-time pub grub is fantastic - Oh, and she keeps the beer in great condition.

Well worth a vist. Food times are limited and yoiu need to book to eat on Sunday. But the pub is open all day and is welcoming.
