The Sir John Moore in Glasgow City

I come to this establishment after a long day of work especially because it’s on my way home. Last night I also stopped by for my 2 glass of Chardonnay and 2 shots of sambuca because I did had a rough day. When I went to the bar to order for my friend a drink I got told to I’ve can’t be served anymore because I am to drunk, when I asked why and what is the excuse. The answer was, we don’t have to give one because that’s the “standards”. Multiple times I’ve asked why not and if someone can please explain to me. By the way I am also working in this Industry and I am a manager myself. Nothing no explanation. I left the bar went to my table and said well that’s a first no more drinks for me and the “manager” that actually looks half my age followed me and told me I have to get out because I am drunk and she can’t understand me. Mind you I am from the Caribbean and have a different accent haha writing this actually have me laughing. So I guess here we got the explanation why I sounded “to drunk” cuz missy couldn’t understand me and thought she was right. By the way wetherspoons is 90% full of drunks. But here we go - Welcome to Wetherspoon ;)

Met friends for breakfast. Had a nice, comfortable, relaxed time just shooting the breeze, chewing the fat (not literally) having a chinwag. Food's good,, coffee is very reasonably priced & limitless and service was quick, I had my 2yr old grandson with me - staff were brill with him

Opposite Central Station in Glasgow. Very handy 👌 We enjoyed the fish and chips, with beer, for dinner, and the scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast. After buying your first hot drink you can have any additional cups of tea and coffee free. ☕️ Enjoy! 😋

I have just got to say that I was deeply saddened by the manager of this public house i was in roughly about 4pm and watched as this couple had an assisted dog with them and the manager asked them to leave the premises as dog didn't have the vest on but she had her badge disabilities are not seen manager also refused to give his name this is disgraceful towards the public who choose to eat drink here I will not be returning

Literally got told to leave because of the assistance dog that was with us wasn't wearing a vest even though we had the badge and paperwork with us, this is unacceptable and the attitude from the manager was atrocious

It seems that all of wetherspoons food is getting worse

Great lunch and drinks all hours of the day. More than reasonable prices £24 for 2 with 2 burgers 🍔 and 2 drinks. ❤️❤️❤️

I've visited this Weatherspoon once for dinner & drink with friends years ago but it has now become my go-to for breakfast on a school morning. I normally order the vegetarian breakfast wrap with a side of linc sausages and hash browns. Great food, good access to sauces, cutlery and napkins and good service from the staff too - one member made sure I didn't make a mistake with my order. (I order side of sausage with my vegetarian breakfast wrap becuase I don't like bacon in my wrap)

we went outside to smoke, and during that time, one of the managers took our glasses. When we came back, we asked about our glass, and they gave it back to us,Then we placed another order, but this time, they didn’t serve our order. Then we asked why, the manager said to us we don't take orders from the your table but we don't do anything wrong just because we asked why did they take our drinks from table they did this embarrassing thing us .....

Great pub, just outside Central Station. Usually use it as 'one for the road' before getting train home. Food is good, freshly cooked and quick service too.

We had a great meal here before our concert and the staff were excellent and attentive. The toilets were great and all in all a 5* visit.

Toilets in the basement, which is different for a spoons, what's not though is its still half a mile walk to get there

Only popped in for a quick drink and a wee. Service was quick despite the place been absolutely rammed. Staff were friendly, place was clean. Toilets were the classic hike down 487 steps, but it's a spoons. What else do you expect?

Really enjoy the great value drinks and food on offer. Never wait long for food or drinks and love being able to sit at my table and just order on the app. The food in this wetherspoons is always delicious.

Oh, la broma de Glesga, tienes que amarla. Pedimos bebidas a través de la aplicación y para ser justos llegaron rápidamente un sábado por la noche. El "encantador" miembro del personal llegó a nuestra mesa con la bandeja de bebidas mixtas. En este punto era un juego de adivinanzas en cuanto a qué bebidas eran, ya que todos fueron golpeados en la mesa. Para tratar de identificar fácilmente mi vodka con sabor a naranja le pregunté a la señora cuál era. Ella me ayudó ansiosamente golpeándolo delante de mí diciendo "el wan con la naranja en él" OK pensé, pero yo estaba aún más confundido como los 4 vodkas con limonada todos tenían limones en él, si ella es daltónica me disculpo, pero un poco mejor servicio al cliente se requiere aquí. Oh, después de que finalmente lo encontré el vodka XIX era realmente agradable.

It's your typical spoons. The food is exactly what you expect. Nothing fancy but good old reliable. Nice outdoor area for drinking and smoking. Staff were polite and helpful.

At 8.30 am 19 th February cubicles in gents toilets were a disgrace from missing toilet seat to excrement covered bowls.......no excuse for this especially first thing in the morning, please get it fixed asap.

Brilliant food but staff were rude x and felt very uncomfortable too they had camera's inside the toilet looking right into the walls and roof watching people using the toilet that's a bit scared and a bit too far I don't mind the cameras they had outside of the toilets because if they something happened they will be seen on the cameras walking out so no need for cameras in the toilet watching people doing the toilet that's sick I'm don't going back it's put me off I wouldn't even go x

Me dejé caer por un bocado antes de ir al Hydro y terminamos volviendo ya que pensamos que era un gran punto de parada. Excelente selección de cervezas. La comida era buena y servida rápidamente a pesar de estar ocupado. Los pedidos de aplicaciones también se sirvieron a tiempo. El desayuno estaba muy bien 👌 No podía faltar este lugar, Wetherspoons tiene una gran mezcla de precio y calidad. Definitivamente volveré.

Llamé para tomar un café temprano el domingo por la mañana. Limpio y amable. A diferencia de mi última visita a una cuchara diferente. Basándome en mi visita, volvería a esta. El espacio dentro del pub también es enorme, una de las cucharas más largas en las que he estado.

The staff is so nice, patient and fast serving. I mixed up the table number while placing and order and despite they being so busy, the staff was extremely helpful.

Unbearable on a Friday or Saturday evening with ‘kids’ dominating and in an especially ‘lively’ part of the city next to Central Station. Food was ok but our party had a breakfast at 9am Sunday morning when quiet. Bacon was stone-cold. Trad breakfast was served before porridge. Small things. Staff were friendly.

Usual spoons bar.... excellent location just near central station. And nice enough to sit in and good value prices.

I have never seen a group of staff so unhappy. The majority are under 25 and are going around with what we call 'a face like fizz'. Collectively, young people are happy people so for them to look and be so miserable to customers suggests something within the premises. That said, they do laugh and chat with their peers so maybe it's the customers 'en masse' who feel their discontent. I ordered a pint, no reply, "card or cash", I made a pleasant response, but absolutely nothing from this customer service employee. Absolutely embarrassing.

Quick service and handy for the train station

Stayed in Hotel next door and ate here frequently. Staff are super friendly and accomodating, great atmosphere and awesome food, my only thing is they nees to cut the pizza for folks when its ordered.

Popped in here between trains after a gig at the Hydro. Was relatively empty so good service and Blue Moon on draught so all was good for me.

Wotherspoons ...does exactly what it says on the tin....great layout...tons of nooks and crannies to sit in , and an extensive menu of not exactly cordon bleu quality , but the best value on the planet. Massive drinks list too , with real ales always available.

Lovely spoons directly across from the Radisson Blu hotel. Very low noise on a Tuesday evening. Good steak.

We love Weatherspoon for value drinks...not many pubs in Glasgow come close to these prices. I drink real ale mostly and out of the Glasgow city centre pubs this Weatherspoon in my opinion have the best selection of real ale. We don't tend to eat much in here but breakfast and basic pub food is OK if you're hungry Out of the 4 Glasgow Central Weatherspoon this for me is the best for comfort cleanliness good service and great beer.

We called in for food on our visit to Glasgow. There were 12 of us and food was served within 15 mins. Fab atmosphere and food was good too. Had a few cheeky drinks before leaving. Well worth the visit. Thank you.
