A hearty full English and a mug of tea and coffee sets you up for the day on a wet and windy Saturday. Always busy but a quick turnaround and you soon have a table

Great for breakfasts. An absolute bargin. Everything cooked fresh but be early as it closes around 11am if not before. Opens at 5am. Go every year when we visit Whitby.

Lifeboat Fishbar

22/04/2019: Visited twice during our Easter break. You can take away or eat in at the cafe, very friendly staff who are helpful. Always very busy which goes to show how tasty it is. I opted for fish, chips, peas and gravy and I can honestly say its the nicest tastiest fish I have had in a long time. Hubby had fish chips and curry. As we didn't want chips each they split a portion between us in separate trays. Would definitely recommend a visit, its just off the sea front turn up at the main traffic lights near the lifeboat centre on the main street up to the town.
05/06/2019: Our first visit to this cafe based on feedback but we definitely had better the following day. We too thought it a tad dear especially as it doesn’t have the views and best position as some have on the promenade.

28/04/2019: We stopped here as a result of the reviews and they did not lie!! The restaurant is small and maintains a balance, spreading out customers throughout the service. If you go you must book - we booked at lunchtime and managed to get a table for the evening, but saw people turned away while we were there.
18/06/2019: Wonderful old premises in an old fishermans cottage. Excellent fish and seafood. Very fresh. Oysters were great. The moule frites were full of flavour and the sea food risotto was wonderful. Lovely ambience in this quirky little restaurant. Great service levels too.
