The Shake Lab in South Gloucestershire

The food wasn't the bad part, the price was alright for me. The staff were rude, unwelcoming and impolite. From this experience, I have decided not to go back as it's not an environment that encourages me to spend my money.

For the price of the milkshakes (especially) and the waffle stick, it wasn't worth it. The milkshake tasted like every other milkshake and wasn't even that big of a size. The waffles tasted extremely eggy and were not made very well. The lady who served us made both me and my partner uncomfortable and we felt extremely judged the entire experience. Got a strawberry milkshake with Oreos but it was just a regular strawberry milkshake that had one Oreo slapped on top of it it was £7 for the shake too.

We went today and the person that served us I felt was extremely rude. My husband asked if they sold vegan milkshakes as our Little One is intolerant to dairy, the response was no just water and laughed. Just don't feel like that's necessary at all, the other staff member and the person serving were also stood laughing as they thought it was funny. Great customer service is not what we got and for the cost of milkshakes that are bang average will not be returning

The staff were rude and were not welcoming or polite. The wait time for 2 milkshakes was about 25-30 mins despite there hardly being anyone waiting.

Absolutely horrified by the state of the restaurant in cribbs causeway. I have photos of the tables. One table was stacked high, where customers have obviously dumped their trash for hours. I am not exaggerating when I say it was a mound of rubbish 30cm high and spilling over to the floor and chairs. Every table was filthy and sticky and I had to clean them myself. When I showed the photos to the staff they all looked at each other as none of them wanted to come and clean it up. In the end a young lad said he would come and clean it. When he came around to see the state of the tables he laughed at how bad they are and told everyone to come and have a look where all the staff had a right laugh. Absolutely fuming. I will be reporting to environmental health too.

Wow! What a rude member of staff! We had never been here before… so first of all the girl was cleaning, which was good to see, but she ignored us for about 2-3 minutes before we directly told her we’d like to order. Man what a RBF we got!! My wife was apologetic and said ‘sorry to interrupt your fine job’ to which she replied ‘I’m just annoyed that I had to get up’ - excuse me, what?! Next I asked her what size ice creams she did… ‘can’t you see - it is what it is mate’ says this delightful queen. ‘Right, I won’t bother then’ I replied. At this point she finally winds her neck in realising she’s overstepped the mark, and for the first time starts to be civil. Food was ok. Will I be going back? Oh yes, just have a fight with her again!

went to shake lab few days ago with my daughter, 2 girls were on shift only wasnt busy at all i was waiting to get served but that took about 30 minutes the girl who was suppose to be serving didn't even look up to let us know she will be right with us just kept ignoring us standing there while she was doing one milkshake, very rude customer service the other blonde woman wasnt even doing anything just stood behind the equipment she could have easily served us i mean it really isnt hard to make the stuff they serve. or even apologise for the wait, manger really needs better people to do this job or retrain them what customer service means because pretty sure if they had work audits both girls would fail

Paid £5.80 each for two regular shakes (Oreo and a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup). Way too milky and no flavour. Would have had a better milkshake from McDonalds for a fraction of the price.

Many options but no taste, end up waiting & paying for bland stuff. Disappointed and do not recommend.

Staff were downright rude and had no intention of serving my wife and I. Wouldn't engage. Refused to accept £10 notes as she said they only accepted British money. Last time I checked, Scotland was in Britain. This kind of ignorance and rudeness deserves no place in the service industry.

Ridiculously bad service. The staff clearly didn’t want to be there and had no training. Watched them make my order… one waffle… to then see it disappear. Waited 15minutes chased and then she started making it again… gave up in the end and asked for a refund… which also took forever. They didn’t even ask why or seemed bothered. Watched a girl make a milkshake, to then announce it was ready…. But so quietly that no one could hear her… it sat there for 10minutes before another employee bothered to actually speak at a normal volume for the customer to hear! Honestly one of the most infuriating experience I have ever encountered.

3 members of staff far to busy gossiping to serve me. They all looked at each other and started laughing. I’ve never seen such rude staff before, I will never go there again. So disrespectful.

Visited late in the day when literally no one else was around. My son was ignored by three staff who were stood around gossiping, I walked over to see what was going on and they did at least serve him, but refused to accept cash. After I stepped in to pay by card, they took his name and asked us to wait by the barrier which was 10 feet away. We were wearing masks and there was a plastic screen which when you looked at how tightly packed the sit down area was had we chosen to stay was nothing short of ludicrous. When the milkshake was ready, rather than call him by his name that they literally just asked for they shouted “Oreo” across a deserted shopping mall! Staff were rude and disinterested, milkshake was good, but overpriced. Don’t waste your time unless you want to be treated appallingly

Miserable staff, I’m sure a snail could work faster and be more enthusiastic than the supervisor who is on shift most of the time (the one with no mask) The wait time is ridiculous, need to visit shake away in Bristol and Bath for some tips on how to run a milkshake bar. Milkshakes are left waiting whilst they finish off their conversations amongst each other, and whenever it is busy they just can’t be bothered. If you don’t want to work there and realise that it’s one of the most popular/busy Malls in the south west just leave. Get the professionals from shakeaway in, if not I advise for you to visit millies cookies downstairs instead next to John Lewis. At least you get a smile, and a cold milkshake. Not a runny lukewarm crap one. Wise up!!

Had the Nutella salted caramel and a strawberry shake with cream on top. Thoroughly enjoyed both would definitely have again.

We visited yesterday and only wanted 1 shake. The queue was long but the staff couldn’t care less. 4 members of staff were really slow, chatting, standing around and didn’t really care about customers. Awful, will never return again.

Milkshake was very very nice, pricey but worth it. Very slow service, staff more interested in chatting about tinder and whether or not the guy had ‘changed his hair’, very annoying.

10/10 Best milkshake anywhere more than you would expect to pay for a milkshake but these are not your normal milkshake 👌
