New staff etc make this pub/eatery a pleasure to visit. Food absolutely delicious can't fault it.

I won't give a 1 star for service as the girl behind the bar was lovely but the young lad that collected my plate with a top knot needs to improve on his customer service an eye roll is not an appropriate answer to a customer complaint... food was either cold or cremated... not the usual marstons pub grub... won't be returning... just vile didn't accommodate for the large table booking we had and it was all very rushed to get us ordered and cooked before 8pm! Just avoid! There's far better marstons to eat at! .... none of our guests were given a refund so that's a lie... and like I said the member of staff simply rolled his eyes and walked away from my table... and if they weren't rushing us why did the lady with pink hair come out to us 5/6 times asking if we had ordered yet? ... pressurising us to make choices from the very limited menu... and gas leak or no leak, your staff said one thing but the notice said the other .... someone was lying

Not had food yet but had all over celebrations here since last July baby gender reveal 65th bday party hubby's remission party everything room has been dressed amazing able to take our own buffett laurie and Chris are the best great pub great management and Laurie's mom is lovely too spotless to if the star rating was higher I'd defo give me xxxx

Staff at stars are amazing , our meal for 11+ 3 kids was served promptly, hot and really nice, managed to get GF, LF and vegetarian meals correct, we love the Stars

We went for a birthday celebration tgere were 14 in our party. All the food came out together. Best sausage and mash l have had out in a long time, we will be back.

Excellent meal and a good selection of beers.

Visted today with my parents and toddler. We’ve been before and as ever, the food and service was second to none. The chips are literally the best I’ve ever had. Great value for money and lovely food.

We have been to the seven stars a few times, and as alway the staff are polite. The food comes quickly and hot, and is very tasty. We would recommend an afternoon at the seven stars

Beer is kept well, food is nice. Chris is brilliant host and staff are helpful.

Very friendly and the food is always good. We have lived local to this pub for nearly 10 years but have only recently been going the last couple of years. Since these owners have taken over the atmosphere is amazing and we now are regulars here.

Very welcoming pub, good hearty food, always comes out hot, plenty of parking, friendly staff always happy to help, quick and efficient service.

A well attended Community pub. Staff and customers are all very pleasant. The food is very good and is as described on the menu. Worth a visit.

What a fantastic local, excellent food and outstanding service. We held our daughters 16 Birthday party here (as one of our favourite places) and the team were amazing throughout, nothing was too much trouble. We had a brilliant night with a lot of full bellied teens and tipsy parents all leaving with a smile on their face. Thank you all

Just came in for lunch and had the mixed grill. OMG the best I've eaten in years, it now my pub of choice.

The staff are lovely and welcoming, always have a smile. The food was really nice. The fish and chips are the best we've had for a long time.

Always have good food here for a good price. Tried the lunch menu today (Hunter's Chicken baguette and chips) which was really nice.

First time in a pub for over a year and I won’t be back at one for a while after this one. Visited on a quiet Wednesday night and the two things I wanted weren’t available, bar staff had no idea of the issue and when my replacement meal came (a medium rare steak) it was very obviously well done. Chewy, tasteless leather. No check back for me to tell someone about how bad it was, no one came to clear our plates until we’d moved into the bar area. One toilet door doesn’t even close properly! Not happy at all

Awful experience, thought we would try and support local business and wish we'd stayed home and had a sandwich. My chicken was exceptable if not a little charred and a little... little. My wife had cod which turned out to be charred batter and a few flakes of fish. The side of onion rings we ordered never turned up and when challenged a scruffy 'waitress' was sent to make excuses on the 'chefs' behalf saying there were extra on the plates.... we had 5 between us which looked like they had been cut from a shallot. Upon expressing our discontent we received nothing but contempt. Food aside is it any better... no, tables are sticky, decor is run down, there isn't even any toilet paper in the toilet! Avoid at all costs.

Lovely meal again this evening, chicken wings as starters, sausage and mash main course, salted caramel desert, washed down by well kept

First visit to this pub was Christmas Dinner with the inlaws. Very nice food hot fresh and well presented. Drinks good value and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Christmas Day....No sprouts! I like sprouts. Everything thing else was lovely! My only grumble...we arrived at 12.30pm for pre drinks, booked in for 1pm...we were shown to our table immediately and 3 times we were asked if we were ready for starters. However 2 of our party hadn't arrived so we declined. Our party were all seated by 1pm. Our time, but then no one came to asks us again until after 1.30....this meant by the time we'd had our last mouthful, we were being asked to leave as the next sitting were waiting....no time for a coffee or conversation....we lost a good 30-40 mins at the being due to NO service.. Room lovely.....food lovely...staff lovely

Had a party booked for the festive menu. The food was great, it was hot and presented beautifully. Pudding was delicious. The staff we exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this pub for a meal and will be coming back again soon.

Went in today for the Christmas Fayre meal with some dear friends. As always the food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and the drinks superb. The atmosphere in the pub was friendly and welcoming. Our table was laid to match the meal we were having. Well done to team Seven Stars.

Just had a lovely burger lunch with a couple of nice refreshing pints 😋 food was delicious and well worth the money, fast and friendly staff! Will definitely be revisiting again!

Ordered a mixed grill, not the best. Steak (medium rare), was tough like shoe leather, gammon tough as well, chicken was dry not tender. Worst meal I’ve had from there, such a shame

We popped in Saturday afternoon just for a few drinks. We had a couple of Banks’s sunbeam which was very nice. The atmosphere in the pub was friendly and relaxed. We enquired about Sunday lunch, normally on till 6pm but as there was a party on this Sunday it was finishing early at 4pm. We booked a table for 3pm. Sunday lunch was very good. Just enough on the plate. Veg cooked just right and beef very tender. Delish!

Had lunch time meal it was very nice we had 4 Meals 2 gammon 1,steak and I BBQ chicken we had lovely lunch cooked and served to perfection we will be back in the seven stars soon a little a back ground music 🎶 was all that was missing 👍👍👍

Mixed grill was really greasy. Ordered as a healthier choice , had to mop it up with my napkin. Staff were nice.

Had the best veggy burger tonight. Really tasty. Staff were very welcoming and the whole pub had a fab atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Oh and the chocolate brownie was very nice as well.

Haven't been in for about 3 years after an absolute terrible meal we discovered there was a new landlord so thought we would check it out the food was excellent portions size spot on everything was fresh and hot will definitely be back soon

Me and the family came here for a drink and some dinner. Never been before, but did not disappoint. Lady behind the bar was very friendly. Lovely and welcoming. Food was very tasty! Will be returning :) family had a few games of pool and darts. Nice homely atmosphere. Thanks again :)

Food is beautiful. Decent choice of bitters. However service was appalling and it's like stepping inside a weatherspoons pub with the decor and smelled musty.

A really great, dog friendly pub with good beer and honest food. Even with a wedding party in, the service was still excellent.

My sisters and I decided to have our catch up here last week after work. We had never been before. We really enjoyed our food - although I'd initially ordered the cauliflower curry, when it came I couldn't eat it as I found it too spicy but the staff were good about it and were happy to offer me something else instead so I opted for the beef lasagne with was lovely. We found it to be a friendly atmosphere and the pub itself is really nice and welcoming. Thank you.

Quality place friendly staff and they really helped us out today sun 18 2023 fathers day struggled to be able to book anywhere but as soon as they had a cancellation they called me and squeezed in a family of 11 the food was amazing especially the fish will 100% return again and again a credit to the chef and all the staff A**********

Sunday roast is awful tasted like it had been microwaved and used mostly frozen food.

Popped in for lunch & would highly recommend. Food was delicious. I particularly liked that the chips were crispy as so many other places only just about cook them. Staff were super friendly too. Will be back again for sure.

Started coming back to the seven stars after it came under new management and wow !😍 We came for Mother’s Day and the Sunday dinner was 10/10, brilliant food and even better customer service from staff ! Ever since Mother’s Day we have been so impressed so have ended up coming every week for their amazing tuna melts, burgers and friendly service. Thank you always!
