The High Acres in Dudley

I went for a meal with my dad and step mom. We were kindly greeted and the service was brilliant. The food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was a bit dead but I think that was just the time of day we went in but all in all it was a brilliant day and brilliant food. 😂

Excellent friendly service and gorgeous food. Amazing value for money. We always enjoy coming here. A lovely spotlessly clean pub with a pleasant ambience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the High Acres pub.

Been there twice now. Both times not been able to get served. Won't try again. The best thing about this pub is that I will never have to go to the place again.

I went here for a pary,it was a nice size room,they put on a good food spread with a greatatmoshere.

Ordered food parts of the food was missing but wasn’t told when we order only found out when it came to the table we then found dead bugs in the chips when we told the staff she was very rude and unhelpful just said the chips are in a different pot so we can just change them and not the hole meal. Also mold all over the pub as you can see on the photos

Great pub with some funny characters.....even got a bloke called Brummie Steve.....one brain cell off being pond life.....heart is in the right place.....pity about the brain 😂😅

Came here as was told it's a good place to come watch the football at. So as England lionesses were playing a small group of us decided to come and watch it here. I messaged the pub who assured me it would be shown. I wish I hadn't bothered now, dispite the message reassuring me the England women's game would be on, I had to ask the staff 4 or 5 times, then was told someone had asked for the Leicester v Leeds game. They eventually reluctantly put it on a TV which was located in a position that if anyone went to the bar they blocked the view of the TV for most people.

A group of us come often for a game of pool or darts and a pint on an evening. Beer is good, the prices are good and made even better by the deals Monday-Wednesday and on match days during the six nations! On the occasions we’ve ordered, the food is good, bought out quickly and piping hot. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere

I recently bought my dad to the pub for a pint and some food, we ordered off the 2 for £15 menu and was very impressed with both the quality of the food and the portion sizes. We were greeted by friendly staff who made us feel welcome. I’d definitely recommend for all, the high acres is a family friendly pub with a very warm atmosphere. Good beer, good service, football on the Tele if you fancy it, quieter areas if that's your thing. Sat watching the pubs darts team and what a great laugh we had. Ordered some snacky bits of food to go with my pint of HPA, all came out very hot and in great time. I shall be returning a lot more frequently now. Cheers

Ordered food from the 2 for £15 menu. Great value for money. Decent portion sizes and came out quickly and more importantly hot. Staff were very polite and professional and came to check several times if everything was ok. Pub is very clean and welcoming and very friendly staff. I will definitely be returning to this little gem of a pub.

What a transformation, from a cliquey and generally cold place to a lovely warm atmosphere and while not good for business, quiet too! We came on a Thursday to take advantage of the 2 for £15 mains, a good selection. I had gammon and my partner had scampi, the portion sizes were perfect not too small and neither too big. The food was great, gammon nicely grilled, with attention paid to charring the fat cap to make it much more pleasant to eat! The scampi was of great quality and wonderfully crispy. The chips were fine, not outstanding but not bad by any means, perfectly edible and a good filler upper. My only genuine criticism of the food was the peas were firm and dry, but with a small volume of food shifting on the night you can’t be too upset about them keeping peas warm, but this is the reason for four stars on food. For dessert I had the Jaffa doughnut sundae and my partner had the fun fair ice cream dessert, both were lovely if a small amount overpriced. The highlight of our visit was the lovely James who served us, was happy to answer my questions and seemed genuinely happy to be there and be serving people. Really nice lad with top notch customer service. I would recommend all people ‘on the hill’ come and visit here, it’s so nice to finally have a place to eat here in upper Kingswinford without having to go into town.

The refurb is really good. Has made the place lighter which was a big problem beforehand. All the staff were smiling and lovely. Food was quick and tasty Will definitely be back

On Thursday 5th Sept 2023 I was told by rude bar staff member that the bar was shut at 10:30pm in the week which I know was a lie as I was in the bar on the Tuesday and Wednesday night before and was served at 10:55pm. This pub has been recently refurbished which I believe was about time but with bar staff like this I really can't see it paying off. REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE ATTITUDE OF SOMEONE WHO WAS OBVIOUSLY ONLY INTERESTED IN GOING HOME.

Played darts with United Matt Underhill. Beer was decent and dartboards are spot on. 👌

Was really hoping to enjoy the food as read some great reviews. Ordered 2 half chicken. When we received our order I was gobsmacked at the size of the chicken it was the size of a quall it was so small it was all dried up. The staff were really nice. The place is really nice. I won't be back

Nice pub decent price and ample car parking. Lived in area 4 yes and was 1st time I have used. Definitely will use again for a quick pint.

Excellent venue, lovely ambience

what a little gem of a pub this is, went out for a meal 6pm after me and partner both finished work so couldn't be bothered to cook and wow what an experience, upon entering the door was greeted with a smile and a hello how are you, first impression very good. we had ordered2 pints of lager which both very nice and ordered desperado burger and house platter, both were out within 15 minutes of ordering and food was piping hot very tasty and cleared our plates, staff checked back to see if food was ok to which we said yes, staff are very well experienced and a great lively bunch, complete 10/10 here for us we will defiantly be coming here or food again.

This little local has recently had a 250k refurb and have started to offer food which can be served in the restaurant or bar. We've been a few times for food and it's simply delicious and they have some fantastic offers throughout the week as well as on a Sat. We last visited last Monday (23 Jan 2023) we ordered steak and Ale Pie (nice sized pie) with green beans, peas, chips and dripping gravy, battered cod (which was a decent size and beautifully white) fish cake, scampi, chips, peas, tartar sauce and curry sauce, two pints all for a grand total of £22! The have a sports bar in addition to the bar and lounge/restaurant, the latter can be booked and sectioned off for small functions please ring and ask. They have a good selection of beers, ales, cider as well as wine and spirits and food swappies are allowed 😊. They welcome families including furbabies , there's a wheelchair/pushchair accessible entrance accessed via either car parking area and the staff are friendly and welcoming. You must give it a go you won't be disappointed! PLEASE NOTE — the date of this review and bear in mind that the offers/prices shown in the menus I've posted are subject to change!

This is my local pub and have been coming here for years. The new management are fantastic and the food is brilliant and at great prices with fantastic deals weekly. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming. This is a must try for anyone who hasn’t already visited!

Went here on Friday night and found it a great experience took a couple of friends who had never been .We enjoyed several games of pool whilst sampling a beer or 3 .The staff were friendly and service was prompt shall definitely be returning

We decided we would try The High Acres due to it being on our doorstep. We where not disappointed. We received a warm a friendly welcome and decided to sit in the lounge area. We both had the same meals. Mushroom starters and Gammon for our main. We totally enjoyed what we had ordered, which came out hot and well presented and the lovely young lady was very accommodating. We will definitely be returning.

First time eating food from here and can’t fault it. Fast service, food was amazing for the price and the portions are generous. We had the chicken tikka masala, fish and chips and a side of cheesy garlic ciabatta. As always the staff were friendly and helpful, pub itself was clean and we were served quickly when waiting at the bar. This is our local pub and we can only praise how much is has enhanced what was already a great family/ dog friendly pub since the refurb a couple of months ago Look forward to eating here again soon, cant wait to try other menu items!

Popped in for a quick Friday night pint with a couple of pals. The place was real busy because there was a Soul n Motown night on. Even so we got served quickly and politely with 3 perfect pints of Morreti. I think the girl that served us was called Ellie?........I reckon the gaffer needs to give her a rise!

We really enjoyed our evening in the High Acres tonight. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was gorgeous with generous portions! The staff are really friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning soon. I feel that this newly refurbed pub is a real asset to the area. Ideal for get togethers with family and friends.

Have been a regular (5 nights+ a week) for a few years now, and the latest upgrade to our glorious local is fantastic. Great beers at great prices, fantastic food at equally great prices. And the daily deals are simply amazing. lovely friendly staff. What more can I say, I'm proud to call it my local. I have never seen a pub so busy during January AND a cost of living crisis!!! keep it up guys!!!

Brilliant night fantastic singer

A group of us visited this pub on a Saturday night. We chose a table where we could sit together but we told loudly and quite rudely that we were in ' someone else's seat' . We moved elsewhere but for the next hour we were stared at and talked about quite obviously. It is clearly a locals' pub and strangers are not welcome. Choice of beers was very limited. Ladies toilets were okay but the Mens toilets weren't very clean, according to the men in our group. Not very impressed.

Down to earth pub, set in a housing area. The outdoor area is large with a safety wall around a good 60% of the area. Lunch times offer filled cobs which a good. Hot meals prepared and cooked on site are available at weekends. I believe beers are good and Guinness is excellent, cannot comment further as I am allergic to it. Wine selection is limited to 1red and 1 white.

Brill service sat outside , hardly any waiting time at all !! Fresh cobs are the best , can't beat a cheese and onion cob with ya pint !!!!

We love the pub , it’s situated smack bang in the middle of the estate, the food is good and all locally sauced, the owners are lovely, you won’t get a bad pint there the gaffer won’t allow it .

Lovely big community boozer....the gaffers are well mannered. I understand people comments about George the gaffer but he really is a big softie if you get to know him.....you just have to keep chipping at him. Karaoke on a friday is great..crowd are older and they're a friendly bunch

Went in for a quick drink. Asked for a double g&t. Got given a single. Had to ask. Not given a proper gin glass. Even though a woman had one. Staff not very friendly.. Toilet OK. Just one oh dear in ladies. No hook to hang your coat. Manky floor no way am I putting my coat.

Beer is ok it's an enville pub and beer is ok. The rest of drinks ok. They also serve golden glow which is great. So pop down and have a beer. Better than it used to be. Decent beers.

Hired the function room for a surprise wedding anniversary party. DJ set up, then told had to have the music low if the back door was open. So why hire it out as a function room then? Manager Gerorge needs some lessons in manners as already stated by other reviews. Professional attitude by the owner? Clearly not in anyway shape or form.

A decent local. Sky Sports on in the bar, usually something on in the lounge at a weekend and a nice little function room. Usually got Enville and Holden's Golden Glow together with a couple of other ales, as well as the usual array of lagers and ciders. Outside seating in the summer ( and winter if you want to brave the elements)

Local pub for people in Kingswinford (bromley lane area). They have Sky Sports and a beer garden. Good parking.
