Large venue, lovely to eat inside or out, good entertainment, great food and drink, reasonable bar prices... so glad you're open again.

Sticky tables in the conservatory area. Arrived 8pm on a Saturday night..it wasn't busy and food arrived after 5mins from order so clearly microwaved. Steak pie did not taste of steak!

After so long and hearing good reviews from friends, and having good car parking, we decided to give it a try. Oh dear! Ordered 2 mix grills @£19.99 each, had to ask for forks, sauce to be replenished, and the only vinegar shaker in the conservatory dining. Then came the meals, asked which steak was rare 'the one with the pepper sauce' later realised, no. Cold peas...oh well, get started, cold pepper sauce, but hot chips, yay! Then came the omitted black pudding that arrived and that was when I decided to complain- I couldnt break it with cutlery or my hands. A senior member of staff came to the table, heard our complaint and asked what she could do. I said a refund was necessary, only to find out today that only one meal was refunded. What a disappointment!

Poor outdoor seating, very warm under corrugated roof. Had to sit in the car park to smoke. Dogs not allowed after 7pm. Beer was cheap however so probably gained a star.

We have visited the seagull many times over the years and have always had a great time. On our recent visit we were absolutely appalled at the female security guard. We had been waiting for a table within the family seating for a couple of hours, our children were on the dance floor and grandparents were sat in the adult area. I sat on the step with our toddler. Another family were leaving and said that we could have the table. The security guard (charlene) approached us and told us that we couldn't have the table as other people had been waiting hours. She wasn't polite and had awful communication skills, this led to an altercation and we left with very upset children. Very rude and unprofessional. This being said, the entertainment was very good and the other security guard on duty (Rob) was very professional and is exactly what a security guard is about.

Went for the carvery can't believe you go to so much time & effort to cook all the meat to perfection with lots of fresh veg to than have the worst roast potatoes you couldn't call them roast weren't even roasted & the gravy was like water it was such a shame because the beef just fell apart it didn't help as the plates were cold.

After our meal about 20.00 tried to order some DESSERTS. Was told by staff kitchen was closed and it was too late to order. Will not be returning

Came in for food and drinks with some friends. Staff was very clean and friendly, it very busy but food came relatively quick and cooked to perfection. Will be coming back

Very disappointed. Had to send back two out of four meals. Gravy and mashed potatoes were both stone cold, plus the meat in the steak & kidney pie was also disappointing.

Absolutely disgusting food chips were all hard and black salad gone off all goey complained to manager he was very rude wouldn’t refund at 1st only I wouldn’t leave it lie, waited ages for him so at to go back up to bar to get it sorted to see the manager standing in the kitchen rubbing his hands all through his long hair scuffing his hair up, while standing in the the kitchen then to be serving food to other customers absolutely disgusting never eat here again!!!

Visited this pub for a lunchtime meal with my wife and 3 friends and unfortunately there was a couple of issues that dampened our experience. Firstly we all ordered food at the bar within 5 minutes of each other but while one meal turned up in reasonable time we had to wait 25 minutes before the rest turned up. Secondly 3 of us ordered the steak pie and although it was quite tasty it was only warm and the steak was tough. However, I've still given 3 stars as the Scampi and Gammon ordered by the other 2 of us enjoyed their meals.

You could tell that the seagull had been taken over the lady behind the bar didn’t no the menu had to get one for her when the food came out somethings were missing as for my pizza totally wrong the place wasn’t busy at all not worth the money the staff were nice

Went to the Seagull Inn for the first time this season on Sunday 24th March 2024 and we very impressed with the service and the carvery. There was a choice of 3 meats and a very large choice of vegetables. Returned today (Easter Sunday), and even though it was a busy, there was plenty of space available and staff were very attentive clearing tables. Carvery was again delicious and we will be returning. Thank you 😊

The past 18 years I've been coming to this pub every September for the country and western and I'm always impressed on the how good the staff and management are. I've really loved this year and the food has been excellent. Had a Sunday carvery today and portion sizes are enough to full any appetite. Looking forward to next year and many more to come.

Been a couple times thoughtout the season and a few occasions we have been greated by very rude staff mainly door. One in particular a small lady with a very bad approach to people and a very big attitude. Tryes to talk to people like dirt then runs off when you give back wot she is giving out. Other door staff take pictures of you from a very concerning view ( knelt on the floor ) while i was wearing a dress. Then to find out weeks later said door woman is talking you off to other customers. Venu needs a good clean and and better acts as its very repetitive.

The female security officer was 5 star and best all was her real entertaining tiktoks the bar staff was super friendly and helpful

Nice food, large seating areas, bit loud if you sit inside, but it was warm so sat outside. Would go again if weather was suitable.

Used to be the best entertainment venue, with good food and service at a reasonable price. Not any more since the Scott family stopped running it. Heading downhill fast. Fingers crossed it can be turned around.

Oh how the mighty has fallen! Once the epicentre of brean under the Scott brother's, now nothing more than a business trying to make money under the reputation of another. Over priced, poor beer, appaulling customer approach from both bar staff and door staff. Trading on the reputation of a family business created far before them, will definitely not be returning. Sun spot wins hands down!

The food was good The wrestling was a great laugh the kids loved it, good selection of beers entertainment free

Great night at The Seagull Inn • Brean again, your me MC is fab and he has got the sound back to the best I’ve ever heard at the Seagull so well done 👏 the show last night was great and the pre show entertainment just fabulous 👍 I must be your biggest critic but for over 50yrs the Seagull has been our family go to venue and it’s great to give credit where credit is due. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had suday carvery try beef they only let you have 3 roast spuds no mash they used to give you the 4 pond back for parking now 2 50 not nearly as nice

Used the outside bar with 3 kids in tow The barman was playing his own music ...the lyrics contained more swear words than I and my kids care to listen too. Every other word F**k What's happened to respect for others...and customers. I'm not a prude, but seriously????

Came to have some dinner and for the kids to watch the entertainment and join in Security guard very helpful and friendly Food came was nice but it was cleared away before we were finished as my partner was with the kids on the dance floor and our toddler was getting tired ,so I went to get him off my partner and put him back in his pushchair to then take the rest of our pizza away with us as he was getting tired By the time I turned round it had been collected and thrown away When my partner went to complain was given an drink to compensate which I was not happy with as we had paid for food and we hadn’t finished I was then offered chips and eventually had to settle for two fruit shoots to take away I’m not being funny but if you order food and it’s cleared before you have finished surely any professional business would apologise and offer you to replace that food surely but here no you get offered a drink or chips Won’t be returning that’s for sure Staff should have to wait to ask if guests have finished when the table is clearly still in use. I’ve worked in this industry for many years and I wouldn’t dream of clearing a table before asking

It's great to see the place nearly full, just like old times we have missed this place. Great food, great entertainment, 5* as always. Rod stewart was fantastic. I've been for food a few times this week & and every time, it was great. Loved the carvery, All the staff are really friendly, can't wait to return soon

Since it reopened it is terrible. Menu is very limited and the choices are poor. The place was dead, when we went regularly before the closure it was always busy. Clearly people are now avoiding the place as will I be from now on

Very overated, not bad entertainment. Expensive drinks & expensive food. The menu is awfull as is the food! No wifi no fone signal. Plenty of better places in Brean.

Very disappointed that you now have to pay to park here and its only redeemable against food. It says quite clearly outside on the parking sign 'redeemable against restaurant bar', but on the ticket from the machine it says against food only and the staff...

So pleased it’s finally back open. Food was amazing and very good priced for family of 8 kids loved it and so did we. Loads of amazing events coming up which we are very much looking forward to. Definitely recommend to anyone. Arcade games out...

We use to love going to brean and using the seagull inn as our local while staying at pontins. The food was great, the entertainment was loads of fun, with great atmosphere, and the prices are very reasonable. But after finding out it was closed...

We stopped in after a local football tournament so a meal and drinks. The staff were friendly, the cider was cold and the cowboy burgers were very tasty. A definite bonus was the fact the Wales v. South Africa rugby game was on. Thank you...

all i can say is they must be making more money from it being a testing station than an entertainment centre , AND ITS NOT OPEN IN 2022 EITHER , so really sticking middle finger up to caravaners close by that are still paying same...

Seagull is closed and being used as a covid testing centre. No idea if it’s ever reopening. The authorities would have been much better using another more suitable venue for testing purposes away from an extremely busy entertainment area

Just thought I would let folk now that we went tonight but it was all closed up ! We loved it there ! 🥲

Light and roomy restaurant with plenty of seating but really disappointing menu where no healthy meals or salads are available. There lunchtime menu is dire with no sandwiches or baguettes on offer at all forcing families to have cooked meals when it’s more practical for many to have a snack rather than a full blown meal. When visiting the only thing on offer remotely like a snack was a burger bap which wasn’t cooked properly in middle but it does come with very small portions of chips and a mustard sauce! Service is around 10 minutes when it’s empty but If your choosing fish and chips the fish is huge but is nothing you can’t get on the sea front at half the cost... on entrance to the restaurant there are several two penny coin ‘tip it’ type gambling machines for families to play while waiting for food and a big screen tv for adults to view. Staff are polite and the place is pleasantly decorated with well kept clean toilets but visitors should remember the car park is a pay and display one with wheel clamping in place to deter overnight sleeps

Had steak ,came with chips and peas ,had to order mushrooms and onion rings separate which made it an expensive meal out for a family themed venue,nothing special and wasn’t worth the cost

We stayed at Pontins for the weekend in preparation for the Bridgwater Carnival. We arrived at Pontins and immediately wanted food, my parents highly recommended The Seagull from previous experience. We ate around 3pm and it was quiet and had around 6 staff members on, it still took 3-5 mins to be served as I was unsure where the staff were... Food was ok (2 for £12.95) We had decided to come back later in the evening for the entertainment as it is known for it's entertainment, we were not let down... Hot city nights were fantastic a real party rock band. My family had a ball and the guys were brilliant to my 4 year old daughter. Keep up the fantastic work!

Popped in for late lunch, ended up staying until late evening. Good , freshly cooked meals. Nice portion sizes for kids. Good service! Kids loved playing on the 2p machines then we stayed on to watch the free entertainment, which again the kids loved. All in all a good experience.

We visited Brean for Halloween. Firstly their decorations for the occasion were absolutely brilliant and a lot of effort had be taken to make the room look amazing.We ate every evening meal there which was lovely, then we had a carvery on Sunday, this was beautiful. Usually at a carvery you don't get much meat or the option of maybe having another slice, the amount we were served was absolutely plenty. Lots of choice of veg and the gravy was nice and thick.Would definately recommend

We have been here many times over the years and it does not disappoint.Sometimes it can be busy and you have a 45 minute wait and other times the food comes out quickly. All food is delicious and will continue to come here when we are this way.

Great venue with top acts but to get a seat you need to be in before 7pm some leave early after the children’s entertainment but you need tone quick to get a seat

We are regular visiters to the seagull as we have our caravan at Northam farm. Best venue in brean reasonable drinks amazing entertainment, great staff Ellis the entertainment manager and dj is a legend love this place

Stayed in brean for the cowboy week,visited the seagull a few time ,good atmosphere good band like the Indians, had a steak meal on the Wednesday it was really nice cooked just right and reasonably priced. The thursday was a different matter the did a hog roast not good at all £4 for a nap of pulled pork which was so chewy I couldn't eat it,I can only assume they buy this in ready prepared and just serve it,its a shame it spolt a great evening.

We have been going to brean for 14 years and we always stay in Northan Farm. We love the seagull and always go there for our evening entertainment and will continue to do so.

This is a great place. Busy but service excellent. Really nice staff friendly and helpful. We had 2x pie and 2x lasagne. The meals were very tasty and filling. Reasonably priced for 4 meals and 4 drinks only came to £50.70. Great place, also has a ballroom where they put on live entertainment. Great evening.

A great night out, good food at a reasonable price with great entertainment for free, yes for free. What more can you ask for.

We go to the seagull nearly every week we love it. Normally!!!! . The staff are great. Food is great. But omg. Adults banging tambourines all the time. Is just too much !!!!

Great venue always excellent entertainment, extremly good bar staff bar service is excellent, would certainly reccomend.

We always end our nights here when in Brean because of the quality entertainment they have on plus there is always a nice atmosphere here. Our last visit was two weeks ago and it was packed to the rafters.

We found the food good been here many times. Sunday lunch the best. However peak times quality suffers . We can highly recommend this place for a good quality meal for the price xx

We visit the seagull every time we stay in brean. The food is consistently tasty, hot & well portioned. Great value for money too. The kids love the little chick ice cream pots

Average chip shop. Got 2 elements of my order wrong which meant I had to drive back to the restaurant. Chips too dry for my liking. Fish was tasty.

This place has always been amazing been coming here for over 20yrs very family friendly. Food amazing very reasonable. Plenty of great staff very clean. The entertainment is always fab a must visit for everyone

give it a try! it maybe worth your visit especially if you liked a particular entertainer as they "DO THE ROUNDS" so to speak whats in one venue will usualy be in the other day or two after. watch the venues

We ate here on a very busy bank holiday weekend but even so, the service was great. We had a little wait for food and the staff were struggling to keep up with the volume of people a little but the food was great. Very large area and very reasonable too.

The staff here are backwards, unhelpful, slow, the place is dirty,poor menu choice..... The list could go on.

Went here as a family (two adults, two children) for lunch. Food is affordable and portion sizes, even from the children's menu, left everyone filled and satisfied. It all tasted amazing, and was presented brilliantly. The general atmosphere of the outside seating area was lovely, and the free live music at 2pm was great, the musicians were talented, the song choices were fun and there was something for everyone. Will definitely be coming again, this was the highlight of my holiday.

Hey check this place out if you are stopping in Brean, really nice entertainment venue with a fab restaurant, also check out the Sunday Carvery it's very good value, ( could do with being a little hotter tho especially the gravy)

I was expecting an amazing night of cheesy wrestling and a little mix tribute for my little ones.. however it didn't start well.. and got worse.. firstly the security guy called Mark told me i had to take my hat off! After an hour of sitting there! Didn't realise that would hurt anyone (I'm 39!) 2nd the wrestling was good for the kids up until one of the wrestlers smashed his head open severely bleeding and pretty much knocked out, there was no emergency services around whatsoever except someone from the crowd on holiday, staff didn't have a clue what to do! Blood pouring everywhere and kids looking on were shocked! The security guys were lost! Probably looking for more people wearing hats! The guy in the DJ booth announcing was flapping telling the crowd (kids) it was their fault for wanting the match, clearly accepting zero responsibility! I accept that accidents happen, of course they do, but the organisers and the venue have a responsibility to the performers to ensure their safety is paramount. They instead showed a total lack of professionalism, focusing more on a dude wearing a hat rather than understanding their roles when someone's head is split open, this is totally unacceptable and I will not put my children or recommend others put their kids in that environment again! Shocking! Sort it out!

Whilst on holiday in pontins we popped in for dinner. The seagull is clean, tidy and modern. Meals and drinks were reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area

We recently went to see the Wurzels, the venue was packed but the staff including the security team made it a great night and the bar prices were very reasonable.

I have visited The Seagull in Brean four times and I would say it’s a lovely place to eat. I had steak the last time I visited, the price was not bad either £15 for a steak, chips, tomato and peas. Waiting times are quite quick. There is always entertainment in the main room which is nice for the children.

Fantastic food and large portions reasonable prices friendly staff food was quick and served hot even when busy. Free entertainment all night in a separate room from the restaurant .only downside not enough seating in the entertainment room but not owners fault as they can’t predict how many people will attend the room. Families welcome and there is a part in the entertainment room were children under 15 are not allowed..Would recommend

When you don`t know what you want to eat and there are several of you to please,this is the place to go to.It`s clean,inviting and a pleasure to enter.They have a menu to please everyone.We all had something different and we all said how good it was.The food came quickly and was well presented.The staff were friendly and helpful.What a joy it was to eat there.

I am quite easily pleased but was forced to take my meal back and check they hadn’t mixed it up with a kids meal.....or the dogs meal as it sort of looked like this. It took me 10 mouthfuls and it was gone, the salad was perfectly fine which came with it but not much can go wrong with salads, but the veggie spaghetti meal was crap. It looked very unappetising and like it had been scraped off someone else’s plate. Not sure where the supposed walnuts were either.

Wow what a place. We ended up eating there 3 nights running as so impressed. Food portions were very very good. Staff friendly. Can get very busy though and because its holiday makers some people dont know how to control their children so you can get knocked about whilst eating but that the venue fault. Place provides free evening entertainment just like a holiday camp. Basically overall it's a very good friendly place with great food and very large portion sizes

We ordered 1 adult faggots mash peas and gravy 1 adult chicken korma 1 child’s chicken korma and 1 child’s fish finger meal and it all was totally disgusting. Complained about the faggots being under cooked was told that’s how liver cooks... this is absolute BS! Both chicken korma meals the chicken tasted disgusting never have I had chicken taste like that before, and the fish finger meal my little one hardly touched, all horrible we come to this restaurant all the time wen visiting Brean and have never had a problem before. Don’t think we will come here again. Never been so disappointed by a restaurant before

Went here for a nice afternoon meal and was pleasantly surprised. In the height of summer it was nice and chilled. I ordered the jacket potato with tuna and it was so fresh. Apple pie and custard for pudding and it was absolutely lovely. Reasonable prices and worth every penny

They have free entertainment every night with a great atmosphere. Unfortunately food is hit and miss, had great gammon one night, had it later in the week very poor I undercooked. Beef and ale pie had only 5 pieces of meat pastry tough. The venue is very clean and staff friendly all types of entertainment and strict rules about children running around.

We were in Brean for 2 nights and came here both nights. the place seems to be buzzing and is always full. The entertainment is good however its always the same kinds of acts (Soul bands/60's tributes) Which only appeals to the older generations.

Lovely clean place to eat also has entertainment but had young kids so never stayed for it staff were so accommodating with having two and one year old also were fussy as both chefs so very critical of when we do eat out but we went back so would highly recommend

Found this place on the last day of our holiday from hell! And what a life saver it was!

Been here a few times had gd meal on Saturday partner had all day breakfast what was amazing value for money only down fall I found was went in on Sunday for an all day breakfast and was only carvery but wasn’t put off as was still nice better if it we was allowed more than 2 meats but is what it is thinking about going to watch entertainment tonight other than that food is amazing and always visit when I come

Excellent live shows every night . Lots of things for children to do. Restaurant serves good food . Also large car park and near to the sand and sea. Nice sandy beach.

We have visited Burnham on sea on a few occasions and always try and spend at least one night at the seagull!

We visited the seagull on recommendation from friends & were not disappointed.

Just returned home from a fantastic weekend great bands and solo artists and Ellis keeping everything together be back down in September for the next 60s weekend can't wait
