Beautiful venue, and gorgeous ambience with wooden beams and fairy lights. Great lunch made more special by the attentive service, particularly Keira who was lovely and went out of her way to make my husband's birthday very special.

Bit of a mixed bag! Waitress was friendly but we didnt see her again after she took our order until deserts. Starters were good but the plates weren't cleared before the mains arrived. Mains were cold which was disappointing as the food would've been nice. No second drink offered. The restaurant was very busy but the staff don't appear to be managed very well so they don't focus on the guest, chatting together, standing around, etc. (I've been a restaurant manager) . It's a lovely venue, but the staff need sorting.

Truly terrible food, you know it’s not going to be great when it arrives within 10 minutes of ordering. Sad, tired food, no real cooking more of a reheat proposition. I’d not recommend at all. Staff however were nice and friendly.

Had a fantastic meal with a friend, the food was fantastic and we were served by Ella who was brilliant. A lovely evening, can’t recommend it highly enough.

One of the best outdoor area pubs. The restaurant was full and we didn’t have any table booked, but the staff managed to get a table for 6 of us after 20-30 min. We ordered some sharing platters and Sunday roasts, and overall it was really nice but I missed a little bit more gravy in mine (beef), and the flavour of the cheese fondue was not strong enough(looked like they mixed cream and cheese).

Lunch today in bar. Hint of pate..with one tiny piece of bread, and then prawns came, cold, in cold oil, and again, one little piece of bread. Barman/water very busy...bar understaffed, so service very poor. Table dirty, and no attempt to clean for us. So we didn't stay...This place used to be good. Not now.

Made a booking for a big table of 13, the waiting staff handled us beautifully. Atmosphere was on point, the manager Katie did an amazing job in making sure that the booking process was as smooth as possible, I made a few mistakes when selecting the food options for everyone and her patience was truly appreciated. Food was beautifully prepared, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it without any negatives to point out. 10/10 will definitely be coming back soon.

The Saxon Mill on the outskirts of Warwick is a really interesting and well-laid-out public house. It is a good idea to book a table if you intend to pay it a visit. You have a choice of eating al fresco or inside, plenty of tables to choose from and the meals are well-cooked and well-proportioned. The chefs here know their trade well. The Saxon Mill is truly historic. As the name suggests, it was a water mill in Saxon times and was once part of Kenilworth Priory. It was used as a mill up until 1938. The only problem is that in certain areas the music from the loudspeakers is far too loud. In the bar area it was oppressive. Consideration to give a peaceful atmosphere for customers should take priority over a desire to create noise.

Dined at the Saxon Mill alongside 5 of my close friends on Sunday. To say we were impressed would be an understatement! Props must go to Ella, who was truly excellent and incredibly attentive to our table. We will be returning very soon....

Well, what can I say, the Saxon Mill blew my socks off this Sunday. The roast beef dinner was similar to something you see in the movies. The beef was stunning and the roasted root vegetables were terrific, flavourful and looked wonderful, my senses were certainly thankful. We were hosted by the wonderful Ella who was not only a polite young lady, but also joined in with the excellent humour coming from our table. She has quickly become my favourite Ella in the whole world over taking Ella Eyre, Ella Henderson and Umbr Ella. All the Ella’s in the world should aspire to be as great as Ella from the Saxon mill. Will definitely be back soon and fingers crossed we get the greatest waitress ever, once again.

We went for my parents golden wedding anniversary and were a table of 26 for Sunday lunch, the food was exemplary, the girl who looked after us, Ashley, was very attentive and helpful as well as all the staff that helped, Vicky and Katie were great with helping with the booking and arrangements for the surprise as well as the allergies we had in the party. Over all a really high quality experience.

Great Service & Great Food! Me and the family had a little get together yesterday evening and decided to visit Saxon Mill as one member of the family lives close by, we started with a few drinks from their very impressive cocktail list then sat down for food, the food was great and the Fillet was cooked to perfection but one thing that tops a restaurant experience is the service! Our waitress who I believe was named Ella was very attentive, smiley and bubbly, nothing was too much for her and she was happy to go the extra mile and made us feel welcome! Overall 5 Stars for the food and 5 Stars for the service!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A lovely Sunday lunch at the Saxon Mill today with friends. Staff and service were excellent, food was great, really good portion sizes, especially the meat. Saxon Mill were good enough to accommodate our booking despite a change in plans causing us to arrive 3 hours early! The trio of desserts is highly recommended if you have any room left! We hope to return in the future.

We recently had a wonderful dining experience at Saxon Mill. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, but what really stood out was the service. A huge thank you to Sammy (Samantha) for her friendly demeanor and outstanding customer service. She made our visit even more enjoyable with her attentive and welcoming approach. Popped in for lunch with colleagues and we all had very similar meals, unfortunately the meal felt stale and difficult to eat.

Lovely setting, beautiful mill. The menu was interesting. However, the vegetarian portions were tiny, I had play "hunt the aubergine" in a dish where it was the main ingredient! When will restaurants treat vegetarians the same as meat eaters?? And when will they grasp the fact vegetarians LOVE their veg!

Booked a table for Sunday lunch at 2.45 and added into the notes section we had our dog with us. When we arrived Aaron stated our table wasn’t ready but we couldn’t sit upstairs anyway as we had a dog! He said the notes hadn’t been read when they took the booking. He said he’d rearrange the tables and eventually we were shown which table we could have once it was vacated. After a 30 minute wait after our original table had been booked the party we were waiting to depart still hadn’t received deserts. We told Aaron we were leaving and he suggested we mention his name in the notes next time we booked and he’d ensure we got seated…..you know - the notes that were never read in the first place! Very disappointed and won’t be returning.

£33 for a very poor size and quality fillet steak . Starter of Chipotle chicken came with bagged salad with price label in the salad. It was taken off the bill not really the point . Under staffed and very busy but no excuse . It was my birthday meal but won't be going back . Very dissapointed

We had a lovely meal here in Sunday, the food was lovely & our waitress was great (she even worked out what beer my husband wanted after both of us forgot the name!), all the staff did a great job under extremely busy conditions. The only thing that let the meal down was the position of our table, I had to climb over my chair to get my legs under the table because it was so tight to the person behind us & my husband was partially obstructing the main route of the staff. In our opinion that area was not suitable for two table back to back, it made for a confined meal.

Vicki was a great waitress on our table. we had a lovely meal and the only issue was the greens were almost raw which is still better than slosh and the loos needed to be checked but these are minor points the rest of the food and drink were fab

I have coeliac disease so require a gluten free diet. My waiters were excellent helping me with the glass onion app to guide me through choosing a meal to suit me. (I am newly diagnosed) Sorry didn't get the names of the waiters, but they were brilliant.

Food is excellent, the outlook with the weir is great. The service was attentive without being pushy and we ended up being there over 3 hours - the staff did not push us to leave as it was not too busy. They also seated people apart so you were not on top of your neighbour- I know this is only possible when you are not fully booked

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere, and our waitress, Vicki, truly made the experience special. Her service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. She made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our meal enjoyable. We decided on the trio of roasts, and wow, it did not disappoint! Each meat was perfectly cooked—tender and full of flavor, with all the traditional trimmings that made it feel like a real Sunday treat. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the Yorkshire pudding was to die for! To top it off, we paired the meal with a lovely glass of Pinot, which complemented the food beautifully. The setting at the Saxon Mill is equally impressive, with its charming historical vibe and stunning views. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing meal, and we felt so well looked after by Vicki throughout our visit. This was definitely one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in a long time, and I’ll be recommending it to all my friends and family. Can’t wait to return for another delicious meal soon!

Nice pub on the outskirts of Warwick. Has a good beer garden overlooking the pond . Only eaten the tapas starters and had drinks but very nice . Staff friendly as well .

Outstanding location and one of my favourite spots in Warwickshire. Hadn’t been here for 25 years but we were passing through so dropped by for Sunday lunch. Food was all top notch and even the fussy eater in the family (10 year old son) demolished everything on his plate. Vicki, who served us, was brilliant. Hope it’s not another 25 years before we come back.

Vicki made our experience here at The Saxon Mill incredible. Her kind and hospitable service made our trip here worthwhile. The food was also amazingly delicious, especially the Sunday Beef Roast and the halloumi fries (which were recommended by Vicki!). I will definitely come back here, thank you!
