Good quality fresh ingredients, well made, quiche salad was very good. Lots of choice.

I was at a christening over the weekend, where the catering was provided by the sandwich hut. All the food was outstanding and very high quality, one of the best buffets l've eaten, highly recommend.

I chose the Sandwich Hut on recommendation of a friend . I needed a buffet for 24 people. I chose a menu guided by the owner and we were NOT disappointed ! Absolutely delivered on time ! Superb buffet with so much choice ! All the party commented on the selection of food and presentation ! Would highly recommend Sandwich Hut and we shall be using them again !!!! OUTSTANDING !

Excellent.although a snack bar, with a small eating are inside and out, everything is to a high stanard. for a small charge on orders under 10 pounds, caters for parties funerals and any other gatherings. Take all my friends there when they visit.

Just had a delicious breakfast at The Sandwich Hut. All freshly cooked and served by a very pleasant gentleman. The coffee is in decent sized mugs too! Highly recommended.

Love these guys my mate introduced me to sandwich hut amd he changed my life. Sandwich hut is now part of our day. The couple that run the place are lovely aswel n the food never fails to disappoint. Amazing little business keep it up n see you soon

Ordered the builders box the other day. I assume its called this because it ooked like it was cooked with a brickies trowel and fried on a plaster board. A truly awful experience.

Disappointed with my sausage sandwich! Asked for a large and I got 2 sausages cut in half that filled about half of a massive white bun. God knows what I’d of got if I ordered a small? 1 sausage? £3.20 as well. Poor.

Does nothing to cater for anyone with any dietary requirements at all. Was going to order from there with my work but unfortunately because I am coeliac and they did not supply a gluten free option I had to make other arrangements. The other issues was how rude the staff were when we called to ask if they do anything I can eat. I can't comment as to the quality of the food as I am unable to eat any of it.

Only bought the breakfast bap from here so far, but it is delicious and perfect for the days in which I rush to work and need something substantial at lunch. Had egg, bacon, beans etc i.e. full cooked breakfast inside. The staff are friendly and there is also a table inside and out where I've met a friend. I often nip over and can park just opposite in morrisons. They also wrap it up in foil so keeps warm

It's a year since I last visited The Sandwich Hut, and I'm glad to say that it is as good as ever - and very popular. Again I went for the Bacon and Sausage Rolls; each are still priced at £2 per roll which is excellent value. The Salad fillings in the chill cabinet looked so fresh and appetising. Advertised is a "Builders Box" which looks like a Super Fry-up - must try this next time!

Me and my mother stumbled upon this little cafe when out doing shopping. The sandwiches were at a good price (between £1-3) and the coffee was nice too (also between £1-2). They have a various selection of sandwiches and choice of filling you wanted in it, kind of like a deli. The staff are very friendly and polite and wasted no time on preparing the food. Quick service and in a great location. This little sandwich bar is worth the visit.

Everything and more from a little sandwicherie. Extensive menu, beautifully presented and clean. Fully qualified chef running the business. Friendly and nice being able to sit in at a little table for two or out in the sunshine. Look forward to whiling away some time over breakfast roll with the newspaper. We'd never been to Acomb before, but needed to grab something quick at lunchtime. Spotted the Sandwich Hut and immediately were warmly greeted by the owners. Vast array of fillings and a good choice of breads etc, but we opted for a wrap each. So well filled, and carefully wrapped in foil, we really enjoyed every mouthful. The prices are reasonable and represent good value. If we're ever in Acomb again, we know where lunch will come from.

Stumbled across the sandwich hut as a bit tired of the "same old, same old" stuff in Acomb and was suprised at the great selection of fillings for sandwiches and not the usual run-of-the-mill crisps, drinks etc. Although its a tiny place with a very small seating area outside we ate a couple of very large sandwiches and had a very nice coffee. The owners are very friendly and give great customer service. I recommended them to a friend as caterers for her forthcoming family wedding and she was highly impressed with their down to earth menu [she hates smoked salmon displays etc]and loved their buffet menu and a great price too.

It's good to see this newish venture in continuing to thrive. The interior of the Hut now contains some really stylish presentations which made me want to buy more! My Bacon and Sauage Baps were very tasty and good value at £2.00 each. I see the Hut now offers outside catering.

Looked good, tasted good (with excellant salad selection); and if it wasn't a little inconvinient to find a nearby loo would have got an instant 5 stars.

Called in for a bacon butty. Good value at £2 with a nice soft bread roll and a good amount of nice tasting lean bacon inside. Prompt friendly service. The only reason I've not given an "excellent" is the very limited basic seating (one table with two chairs inside and a couple of picnic tables outside). There just isn't room for more, but great for takeaway snacks

Been in multiple times since opening, everything on menu great value, I've so far tried sandwiches and jacket potatos, always deep filled, salad very fresh. A warning tho coleslaw very runny which makes for a very sloppy sandwich.

The Acomb District of York has many cafe's but this new café is not amongst the rest which are in the main shopping street. Instead, The Sandwich Hut has been located in the business area, which probably accounts for why it opens at 7.30 am & closes at 2.30 pm - attracting the breakfast & lunch trade for office workers. Outside they have placed tables & chairs with bright green umbrellas, which are very attractive. More tables are located inside and there is also a takeaway service. As the name implies, Sandwiches are the main feature with Salad & Coleslaw added for free. There are also Panini's, Tortilla Wraps, Salad Boxes and Jacket Potatoes. Fillings are generous and fresh. The service was very friendly and they should do well with this new venture.
