Absolutely brilliant! Fantastic staff who were all so friendly and helpful. And the nut roast was the best I have had in a long time - if not the best! I would definitely recommend here!

A friend and I went and had an Exceptional Sunday roast. Quit and great service. Best roast I've had in a long long time. Will definitely return.

Cracking burger and chips. Best I've had in a long time. Gammon and chips were good as well. Definitely coming back and enjoyed the walk over the boards on the river Test.

When we arrived we were wandering aimlessly through the pub and it took a while to be greeted. When sat down we were given menus and they were quite clean however, slightly overpriced food. Service was quite quick however after ordering, we waited 50 minutes to get our food even though the pub was pretty quiet and the people in there were just drinking. When we received our lunch we were shocked. My partner had ordered the egg ham and chips and the ham was like it came from the sandwich meats section of Tesco. I had a fish finger sandwhich was quite nice however it was accompanied by some vegetable crisps not listed on the menu. The condiments were strange tasting, especially the black pepper. Overall was not a pleasurable experience and wouldn’t go back. However the staff were lovely and very chatty.

My family and I come here for every occasion, best pub around! The pub is modern and clean and the staff couldn’t be more helpful, friendly and lovely. We always book a large table of 14 with children and a wheelchair, they couldn’t be better with children and they are very accommodating and accessible for my mum in a wheelchair. Would highly recommend their roast dinner but all their food is delicious. Great portion size and always fresh and hot, served with a smile. Thankyou Salmon leap, see you again soon!

Toilets are a disgrace. At a function up the stairs. Licensing should have look at this. Not one single door locked on the cubicle. Would definitely put me off returning.

We love everything about the salmon leap, near to our home, warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Eric has been landlord for many years. Big shout out to Heather, Lisa and team Food is amazing, home cooked and great value for money, quite often come here for a breakfast on the weekend with friends. Then we tried the roasts!!! Wow, I am fussy when it comes to a Sunday roasts, been here now for three roasts, highly recommend and again great value, feel so privileged to have the salmon leap right on our doorstep

The small roast cost me £10 which could easily could have passed as a large roast ! Exceptional and friendly staff members Will be coming again asap

Absolutely fantastic pub! Great staff so friendly and so welcoming. What really topped it off was the Roast dinners they are lovely and extremely reasonably priced 😊 I don’t think you can get a roast at that price anywhere nowadays. Even had cauliflower cheese and not as an extra with lovely seasonal mixed veg and perfect meats… Really worth a visit 💯!! Oh and forgot to mention the crumble and custard pudding! 🥰

Came for breakfast and Sunday lunch in the same day! 100% by far the best food served in Totton, also recently discovered the cheese platter 😋 such a great all rounder pub. Wonderful staff

Just entered there for a coffee. But the location is good and the pub seemed really nice. Unfortunately I cannot comment the food but when I entered there some customers were eating a nice looking breakfast (5 stars ). I could leave my car parked there after I had my coffee, so I went to visit the near River (the path for the walk is more or less next to the park). You can really have a nice day if the weather is good 👍

Perfect food lovely staff amazing prices for the service you get all the ladies are attentive and make sure you’re happy the whole time but without feeling pestered ! Can’t reccomend this pub more

Visited for Sunday roast today and both the food and table service were first class. The gammon was succulent and cooked perfectly. The home made cauliflower cheese and gravy were to die for. Highly recommended.

Credit where credit is due. The roast was lovely and my husband enjoyed the pie of the day. The star of the show had to be the raspberry ripple cheesecake which was delicious. Friendly staff who are always happy to try and accommodate your needs....

Fantastic family Sunday lunch. Best we have ever had out. Service and atmosphere was amazing. You will not find better in the New Forest…… and we have tried most of them. For a post dinner walk try the Test Way over the boardwalk.

Despite being very busy the staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic. One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in a long time (other than home cooked). Would highly recommend but don’t forget to book.

First time I’ve visited in years. It’s great to see the same staff as friendly as they were years ago, serving more food now so under pressure but they haven’t changed a bit, just as lovely it’s great to see. We had a Sunday roast, well I wasn’t expecting much from the food but I asked one of the ladies to tell the chef that was the best roast dinner I’ve ever eaten out, it was amazing! The veg was cooked to perfection as was the beef and chicken, the beef was melt in your mouth, slightly pink in the middle as it should be, cauliflower cheese was divine too, the Yorkshire pud it is served in was gorgeous. Had to get home for a nap, booked for next week!!! A must try.

Left it rather late to get Sunday lunch somewhere but despite them finishing food at 5 they were happy to accept 3 of us at 4.45. The staff were amazing..couldn't do enough for us and the food was delicious ...only down side was we didn't have enough room for a pudding!! Thank you everyone for making our Sunday so enjoyable 😊

Wow, what a hidden gem this place is. We visited for dinner and just could not fault it. Amazing all round and very good price. The waitress was also excerlent and listened to what we wanted which was served in good time. We will be going back. Outstanding.

Yummy fish chips but way too many chips. We also had the ploughman's, pie and mash and ham egg and chips. What's great is they do smaller plates of the main meals so for my parents it's just right size. Great service and large menu

Nice pub with a large car park, we had a full English breakfast which was great. The pub has a lovely little ice cream hut out the front which seems to be open from about 11 each day. Staff are friendly. Path near the pub leads off to a popular dog walking area.

The Leap is one of the best pubs in totton nowadays, they've spent a considerable amount making the place look smart. Often gets used for social gatherings and weddings/wakes/christenings/birthdays etc as it offers a large area for big groups. Beer is well kept and the food is fantastic. Highly recommended.
