Would be 5 stars if they turned the music down to a conversation-enabling level. Otherwise it’s one of London's best pubs: a friendly vibe, a great range of beers, a diverse clientele amid well-preserved ornate Victorian splendour!

Great selection of beers. Including two options of draft non-alcoholic beer, which is great too. Chinese/asian food. Family-friendly pub. Plenty of space and different rooms.

Really nice freedmen's style pab with lit fireplaces and a wide choice of beers and more. Only one thing I didn't like: the stuffed animals. It's great to hear the Camoana announce the possibility of taking the last alcoholic order

Beautiful traditional pub, with over 30 beers on tap and mulled wine in winter. Very good vegetarian and vegan Sunday Roast. Once a month they have a jazz night - book a table in advance.

Desafortunadamente decepcionado. Se ve mucho mejor por fuera que por dentro. Terrible anticuado, necesita renovación total: Inodoros, techo, pintura, etc. Mesas muy sucias, absolutamente impactado cómo este pub puede estar en el top 50 en Londres Time out 2023 . Pub de la edad oscura, solo pocas lámparas en funcionamiento de techo. Me alegro de que no pedimos comida.

A fantastic pub with a wide range of ales & ciders (both cask and draught), decent food, and fabulous architecture, plus real fires, so the main pub space gets a 5* for atmosphere. HOWEVER, events in the rear function room (especially comedy) are constantly interrupted by loud kitchen noises (surely something could be improved) so that room gets a 3*, hence 4* overall.

there’s a number of taxidermy animals in boxes above the bar…could potentially be dangerous in a night at the museum type scenario…you all remember that children’s ’flick” starring ben stiller i trust…stiller is really in on the knicks this year according to his twitter habits…knickerbockers…the birds are pretty big some of them up there on the back bar…wouldn’t want anything to happen to anyone if there were a night at the museum type scenario…decent roast

Music is just too quiet to make out on weekends when the pub is full. Turn it off altogether when the place is busy I reckon.

Love this pub, only improvement I could suggest they have some dark beers too instead of sooooo many IPAs

Love this pub but the food has gone so far down hill and the portions are so small. Terrible service too and I don’t blame the staff on duty, it 100% comes down to the fact that the person who is running the kitchen isn’t giving them enough staff to do the job properly. Do not come here to eat, awful.

The service was good, the staff were polite and nice through the evening. The food was lacking flavour on some items but still nice for the price tag.

Parking not impossible on street but busy. Better to come by public transport. Busy and happy vibe. Staff professional and friendly. Clientele cool and peaceful. Not a rowdy, scary pub. Big screens for the sporting occasions. Lots of funky shops & eateries on Green Lanes all around this pub. Kebab heaven.

Absolutely fantastic, went for Mother’s Day, service was amazing, food tasted amazing, wide selection of beers, IPA, and cider, my mother had such a lovely time, thank you guys for making it wonderful, all the staff were friendly, ignore the low reviews just silly people that don’t understand how hard it is to work in hospitality.

Oh my goodness. What incredibly delicious food, warm service (thank you, charming Jose) and lovely atmosphere. I used to come here as a music student for their weekly quiz night and, 20 years on, brought my husband here for a date night. We were both blown away. It hasn't changed a bit, still a grand and imposing space, the hubbub of amiable locals.... then the food arrived. Unbelievable. Never had chicken wings like these!! WIll definitely be back!!!

Good place to have a drink in Green Lanes

A nice local pub with lots of seating indoors. Lots of new beers on tap and prices aren't too bad for drinks. They serve Chinese food as table service until pretty late which is pretty good. They were playing the six nations rugby when I last went.

Amongst holding reaaly good evebts, and fantastic evening sessions - this place now also shows football games on the big screen. Brilliant indeed👏 ! I went here to celebrate Chinese New Year and they made a very good effort, making sure the menu and ambience were made to match the theme. Will definitely 💯 keep coming back.

I came in here to have a quick drink, I was waiting at the bar and it wasn't too busy but even though the staff made eye contact with me they were serving people who came after me without even approaching me for my order. I was so embarrassed that I left and had a drink elsewhere.

Good selection of beers, lagers and spirits. UPDATE: did a quiz night (Monday) for the first time. Very good turnout but a tough quiz, need to gen up a bit next time, especially current affairs.

I had a very poor experience here for a Sunday Roast I came with some friends for a roast dinner at about 4pm on a Sunday( we rang up beforehand and were told there’s no need to book, they’re serving roasts til 7pm) I’m a vegetarian and when we tried to order, I was told they’d already ran out of veggie and vegan options. I asked if I could just get a plate with everything except the meat (ie all the veg, potatoes, Yorkies) and said I was happy to pay - the waitress said she will double check with the chef, she took my friends orders and we sat and waited and heard nothing back so assumed all was fine. 30 mins later waitress brings my friends their roasts out and and nothing for me…I ask what was happening with my food and she went back to the kitchen , came back a few minutes later and handed me a tiny bowl with 3 potatoes and a handful of cabbage…?!! She said that was all they could offer me and that she had to beg the chef just to give me some cabbage? I asked why I couldn’t get a plate with carrots, potatoes, yorkies, gravy all the things everyone else was given and she said it wasn’t possible …. If it wasn’t possible for me to eat why not tell me this before taking our orders and making us wait half an hour …before handing me a dogs bowl half filled with cabbage and 3 potatoes..? If you’d have just let me know that’s all you could offer me, we’d have eaten elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend coming if you’re a veggie or vegan … unless you really love cabbage!!

Skip it. Reserved a table for 15, got there and we were shared in 3 different tables far apart. Took 40 minutes to get orders, another 40 to get the food, another 20 to be able to pay. Card machine was not accepting some cards and the printer with the bill also not working. Sunday Roast was 22.50 and very ordinary. Sticky pudding was horrible. Mac n cheese was too soft and cold. Plates left dirty on the table for a long time. Dirty toilets. Dark environment. Go to any other pub around there for food. Beers were fine.

Only dropped in for an early evening drink on a Saturday. Approaching Christmas. This is a beautifully refurbished Victorian pub and hotel. It has plenty of space with a great energetic atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. I shall definitely return if I get the chance.

One of the best trad pubs in London

Always enjoy this place and how full of history it is unlike alot of places in the area that have upgraded to look like a plastic bar, since last I visited they have a new bar menu called little dragons which is really delicious. To summarise, Great Guinness, Great wings, Great dragon eggs And great ribs And a massive thanks Mallika for serving us.

Wow, I absolutely loved this pub. The atmosphere is perfect, friendly, inviting and complemented by the beautiful and classic interior. The service was excellent, bar staff were happy and helpful and the food was amazing. I definitely recommend the dragon eggs. Our server was brilliant, Mallika, was helpful with recommendations and very knowledgeable of the menu. We received our food quickly and faultlessly. Our compliments to the chef. So proud of this traditional Haringey pub.

Oiiiii the local dish that keeps on giving. The little dragon dark kitchen was questionable a year ago but diversification for the nation is paying dividends. Much more delicious noodles and picky bits on other. And ultimately, there is a couple of Chinese esk burgers (not Chinese at all) which are actually banging. The soft shell crab burger delivers. You can feel the components of the crab as you are eating it which I know is a bit gross… but can’t knock that texture. Also chips umm ummmm. And they bring you a mayo and ketchup without asking. It’s important business aye. Beers always good. The fun tap end of the bar never disappoints. Was slightly annoyed to hear they no longer have the fentilmens ginger beer bottles but it’s been replaced by a kopparberg blood orange ginger beer. Brain saying ugh, Taste buds saying yes pleeezzze

Went for a drink by myself, left my drink on table to go to loo. When i returned my drink was gone, I asked bar staff what happened they said "tough you should not have left drink on table" total disregard for customer service, they just want your money. attitude:Screw you.

This is the third time my wife and I have upset stomachs after going. I wonder how well they look after their beer lines. Otherwise great selection of beers and atmosphere.

Pub ok, beautiful venue, just doesn't feel right

My friend is vegetarian and was delighted with the spinach, ricotta, mushroom and pumpkin Wellington. My pork roast was succulent, the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Service staff were very good and responsive to requests especially Malika. Will definitely be returning.

Was here for a birthday in one of the function rooms. Food was great and had a really unique beer selection. Lovely building too

One of the most beautiful large pubs I've ever been to. Most of the North London pubs have been gutted and modernised for the worse in the last 30 years, so glad they kept the original features, like the Great Northern Railway Tavern in Hornsey.

Epic and Iconic place rich of history and in same time an amazing spot where to get chilled drinking lovely beers.. if your're in London can't miss it.....

Absolutely horrible service. Bartenders do Not respect people. Place is filled with glasses no one cleaned up. Bartenders attitude is beyond ridiculous. No thank u upon serving... horrible vibes...really put off...stay away from curly looking little woman behind the bar....she is nasty....only She wants is get people out and go home she hates her job ....she is unreasonable really bad and unwelcoming little moody creature .... This is place with good beer....but staff and their approach is bad and sad.... AVOID
