In the interests of honesty, I hve to say that we initially only nipped in to The Saddle because I needed the loo and it was close by. That said, on entering, we found a lovely, old-school pub and were made to feel more than welcome by Kelly, the best barmaid in the World. We ended up staying for over an hour, before we had to leave and felt like we'd made a genuine friend. Absolutely cracking pub and we're looking forward to coming back so we can carry on our conversatrion with Kelly.

Up,out and about on a beautiful January morning, a new year and my twin brother and I decided we jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre, the 1st pub we visited was The Saddle Inn Pub. This is a great locals pub ,interior is superb, it's cosy, great wall art, eclectic decor and furnishings, a solid wood serving bar, tv's to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options, it's just a must go pub for my brother and I. We ordered a Tetleys Brewery bitter each ,these were served in pristine condition, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our bitters. A big fan of a bitter, its a much underrated beer style but when served freezing cold as in this pub its just a totally refreshing beer indeed and I must say the bitter served in here is as good as it gets . We really enjoyed our bitters in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Saddle Inn Pub we were totally impressed. The Saddle Inn Pub is easy to locate along Dale Street, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Well worth seeking out if you're in the area.

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this part of the city around Dale Street when we decided to drop into The Saddle Inn Pub. This is a great looking pub, interior is superb, two roomed, main room dominated by an eye catching serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, on our visit the pub was decked out for Halloween Night and looked superb. We got a bitter from Tetley Brewery, these were served in pristine condition, we chilled out and took in the great pub we were in. I enjoy a bitter every now and again, its a much underrated beer style in my opinion, when this bitter is served freezing cold as in this pub its such a totally refreshing brew indeed. We really enjoyed our bitters in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Saddle Inn Pub is easy to locate along Dale Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

We came in for drinks as tourists from London . The bar maid was taking to another customer who was clearly a local and this chat went on and on while we waited to be served . We finally left as there is pubs all around and she seen us leave and didn’t care . What a shame for the openers .

We called early evening and there were about 15 people in there. I went to the bar and ordered 2 pints and whilst I was waiting, the bar maid sneezed (and without being rude) she sneezed all over her hand. She walked over and wiped it on a blue towel then carried on serving. I waited for my pint to settle which was a good inch below the level, I asked her to top it up and she wasn’t very happy but did so. I sat down and then sang a couple of songs on the karaoke and as I was doing so, I noticed that there was a lady standing halfway behind the bar who was Vaping. Also, when I finished singing, the DJ was also standing there on the stage Vaping as well. I actually thought that it was against the law to smoke or vape in public houses? I’ll certainly think twice about calling there again. 😡
